A short video on how to preform a basic home service, cleaning, lubrication, checking pads ect just basics.
Great shout! Thank you
Jimmy is the best, helped me out on some of my bikes from time to time.
He’s fantastic!
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Chris!
How about videos on (1) how to index your gears & (2) how to size a new chain? Thx
Great suggestions!
Tick got those, though did make my own chain whip out of an old chain. If possible wheel truing, though I appreciate probably less of an issue these days with carbon wheels.
Great shout. Definitely still an issue worth covering :)
Top tips & sensible, pragmatic advice. Sometimes, you do get what you pay for. Nice video, Chris & Jimmy 👏. I didn't know you had an op Chris......wishing you a speedy recovery to full health 👍. Elvis has left the bike shop with a new Argon Krypton Pro ! 😉😅
Thanks mate. Recovering well. Didn’t massively want to shout about it but it’s why I’ve not been riding much lately
@ChrisHallRides Hi Chris 👋 you absolutely have the right to privacy and keep things away from UA-cam and the like. A full recovery is paramount. Take care, and we'll see lots of cycling when you're ready 👍. Your current bike videos are always a good watch. Have a grand week ahead, 🍻 Graham.
Not quick but a maybe about different types of bottom brackets?
That’ll be at least 1 hour long 😂but good shout!
Ha yea True 😂
Mine is a general question: what sort of jobs are best left to pro mechanics? Certainly amateur and advanced amateur mechanics can tackle most maintenance, repair or upgrades...what are some examples of jobs we backyard types should leave to experienced pros?
Good question! Off the top of my head one I always think is bleeding breaks. One I don’t like and don’t think I’ll ever really do
PLEASEEEEEEE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT GREASE AND LIBES
That’s be a good one
"It'll come with all the bits you need" while showing a Park Tool torque wrench that doesn't come with any bits. 😂
🔨
I was expecting a chain breaker to be honest.
Number 6
How much ????
Run 2 x.
9 speed Shimano cassette 15 Quid.
9 speed Shimano chain 15 Quid.
Wanna go modern?
Ok, tad more coin and run 10 speed....
11 and 12 speed is just marketing bollox for elite athletes.
The average cycllist?
8-9-10 speed with 2 x or 3 x....
The triple is dead
@@ChrisHallRides not where i'm from.
Especally with frictions shifting...
Nor is 7 speed.
And certainly nor is sq taper BBB's...
Have i mentioned that ghastly carbon fibre is just posh fibreglass...
@@ChrisHallRides all the best, we just joshin'...
Now I know you really need to meet Amy Hudson (@amy.cycling.andevtures). VB is also her local bike shop and she & her hubby are friends of Luke.
(love my misspelling 😏)
