Francis didn't run, his contract ended and chose to not resign with an organization that did not value him. However, their fight could've happened in 2021. But Jones outpriced himself by supposedly asking for $30 million. Which he knew the UFC would not give him, so using the "payment dispute" as a way to avoid the fight. Then he called in Richard Schaefer as an "advisor". Now that Jon has the belt, he can throw whatever narrative he wants. 🤔 And the whole "I need 3 years to eat" excuse.. Well, remember when he didn't use that when he challenged Brock Lesnar? Yeah.

That's false. Multiple sources INCLUDING FRANCIS HIMSELF said that it was never about the money to fight Jones. He stated flat out that the money was there to fight Jones. The issue came in when he started asking for all this other stuff like wanting to have a "fighter advocate" sit in during board meetings and wanting the option for more sponsors. Those are good things to ask for, but Francis didn't realize who he was. Francis Ngannou is a 1 time champion who only defended his title 1 time. He's not Jon Jones, Brock Lesnar, GSP, Ander Silva, Ronda Rousey, Amanda Nunez, or any one of those fighters who've truly transcended the sport. He's not an irreplaceable commodity. Those people I listed move the needle. When they talk, people listen who are outside of the sport. Nobody knows or care about Francis outside of MMA, and they certainly don't care about him within the realm of boxing.
Long story short, Francis was feeling himself and thought he was more important than he was and thought he could parlay his popularity into change. When he was reminded that he isn't "him" and to shut up and take his money (which was there for him to take), he walked away.

Rose losing her belt months ago when she barely threw any punches was RIGGED (it was a JOKE and pathetic as she was obviously much better than her opponent). The UFC and VEGAS BOTH made out like BANDITS when Rose lost... as EVERYONE bet on her to win - she was a MASSIVE Favorite... McGregor DESTROYING Cowboy a few years ago in 40 seconds or whatever - was ALSO RIGGED - to build excitement for the fight against Poirier. Ya gotta look at it from a larger perspective...
The "sugar" Sean O'Malley guy was created by the UFC to be successful and same with Patty Pimblett. They build some fighters into "brands" and then those "brands" make more money as they win and become more successful - as they get more fans, etc. JJ has TONS of fans who root for him and love him + he is very controversial (just like Conor) so they def. make more money w/ him winning as a heavyweight... but it is all fake garbage - he's nothing like what he was 10 years ago when he was beating up on smaller opponents in the lighter division... and Gane let him win easily... so they can market JJ as "the GOAT" and the "best heavyweight" etc... but it's fake.
