I have seen , listened to her beautiful voice, felt her character through her stories and throughout felt like a good friend was reaching out, teaching us because she cares and now our part in this is to bare witness on our own, to our own voice of truth. Such a inspirational lady 💜👏

Wow! Incredibly eye opening and thought provoking. Thank you so much for sharing this story. I’ll definitely be using creative writing in this manner, very cathartic.

Flyboyhalo Publishing was founded on this premise. . . to bear witness of the human condition from the eyes of a Chicano. Sidenote: North Carolina has a lot of mean people.

Is it weird that nothing comes to mind for me? Like when she's narrating some of her experiences I feel this deep visceral, uneasy feeling inside my gut but I can't map that to any actual experience that I can remember

I did like this talk and I totally understand where she is coming from and the importance of bearing witness. But all I can think is why on Earth did she antagonize someone with a gun? What other result did she expect? Goes against every common sense reaction.

@@danielaaguilar6330 There's a bit of a divide between a comic book and an electronics textbook. Literature isn't only for entertainment, though, I do see your point. It would fall into that category alright.

Cardale Goddard What theme, sorry? And how did you deduce it by the thumbnail? I think the title itself is quite informative in itself.

Her story about her bosses boss makes her look really weak. The guy was asking you questions about yourself and you needed help? Thats called an interview

Evidently, you were not listening well and find it impossible to put yourself in her and any minority's shoes. He wasn't interviewing her. She had the job already. He was surprised that a Muslim was working for his company.
