Put the facts from the anime together, them being lovers is a VERY unlikely scenario, would not make sense, and I personally like the mother-daughter relationship a lot more.
You can force magnetism to make "anti-gravity" ...but you need extremely powerful magnets to levitate even small objects(I'm talking about levitating frogs and strawberries)... maybe that's where he got the idea ...water is diamagnetic and most living beings have lots of it... but if there was a strong(enough) magnetic force then surely someone would have noticed it... like pickaxes flying off at the speed of sound...
Heyo SOS Bros, I think you missed something with how the curse repelling box works; you mentioned that because the box is hermetically sealed it protects you from the curse since the atmosphere does change as your being moved up and thus you don't feel the effects cause you are in the same place atmospheric-wise, like if you were teleporting; but it was stated (I'm pretty sure it was last episode, can't remember, but other commenters can probably say if it were) in the last episode that the curse repelling box is a misnomer, it doesn't protect you from the curse, if you were placed in the box at level 6 and taken up to level 2 for example, you still die due to the curse, but the box just re-animates you; its more appropriate to say its a survivor box from the curse, you will always feel the effect of the curse it'll just make it so in the end you will survive no matter what.
You guys are definitely right that this show makes me feel nervous. Especially with Riko always being so eager to explore and her curious desire makes me worry even more. The vibrancy of the show and the beautiful scenes make me feel nice but everything else that contrasts it, like the world itself and the creatures that reside within are so unnerving.
you gotta think of it this way, the pain that Ozen put them through is nothing to whats next. the way you see a character in THEIR world will always be different of YOUR world. to them, "Yeah i slapped a kid, he was noisy and if he didnt shut up monsters would come" its their version of normalcy versus your version being "NO you never hit a child! they need to be nurture n cared for." yeah you can say that because the probability of your child being eaten by a monster is less than none. unless your a terrible parent lol.

Here's a fun fact. YOu've likely watched it by now. But everythign that happens in the Great Fault, is anime original. But the best kind of anime original, in the fact that it's content the manga writer would have put in, but couldn't due to time constraints and so on. All manga readers say it's a fantastic section and doesn't feel out of place at all.
The magaka doesn't have time constraints though. He releases chapters "when they're ready". There are definitely anime scenes added in but the themes still stay the same.

There isn't really a "normalized abuse" thing as much as that's just the world they live in, that's the abyss. Like how when you train in martial arts it's not "normalized abuse", the natural way your gonna learn is through fighting. one of the points they were trying to make here was that, while yes this is an adventure, they ARE going to need to fight in order to survive, its simply too dangerous an environment not to, and Ozen in the grand scheme of things is rather weak compared to the things to come. that's a NECESSARY thing that Riko and Reg need to take to heart

Regarding what you were saying about ascending from a large depth to the surface, assuming one is submerged in a fluid like water or air, it would be the rapid change in pressure that kills people. This is known as uncontrolled or explosive decompression. For example, take a diver at the surface of the Earth. Due to human evolution their interior pressure will be approximately equal to that of its surrounding; 101kPa or 1 atmosphere. If they were suddenly teleported to 3000ft below the water, the immense pressure due to the weight of the water above them would press against their exterior. As the body is was unable to equilibrate with its surroundings due to the sudden change, the air in the lungs would be forced out as the significantly higher pressured water rushes in. The same would occur going the other way, this time the air in the lungs (or perhaps water if this was practical rather than theory) would press against the interior and force its way out. In order to survive these journeys the traveller or diver would need to either be encased in a vessel capable of withstanding the external pressure (submarines), or allow enough time for the body to equilibrate with its surroundings as they descend/ascend. In addition, magnetism does cause a curve in spacetime in the same way that a gravitational field does, however special objects would be needed to detect them; just as gravitational fields can be felt by masses, magnetic fields can be felt by charges. I really like Ozen, I didn't feel she did anything unthinkable, all of her actions make sense in the context of who she is and the world she's living in, honestly I'd like to see a show with someone like Ozen as the main character.
Lyza was with Ozen when she carried the box with Riko in it. You can see Ozen carrying it with Lyza supporting it in the back in previous episodes. Ozen did the majority of the work with her super strength obviously, but Lyza did help and was with her. It would have been a bad idea to leave her alone down there. Lyza probably just took the minimum amount of time necessary to recover from her labor and the obvious shock yet relief at the same time of her still born baby coming back to life, then took off to the surface with Ozen, as the last two people who survived in their group.
That scene at 5:20 always gives me chills, cause like, that momentary wash over of despair envelopes her, and she just had to push it aside so they could try to survive. Her crush literally said she was getting married to someone ozone probably barely even noticed, and then at the time she needed him most he just died and abandoned her. Man if that happened to my crush that'd fuck me up pretty bad mentally too
that time difference isnt a literal one but a perceptual one (I think) on the surface they have the sun to keep track of time but in the abyss, there is no indication of if it is been 1 day or 3 days, its all up to your internal clock and most of the time your simply not keeping track.
idk I mean you'd have to really work to make a literal difference in time work but if it was perceptual, that's already a thing that just happens, this is just the extreme of its case of it. and I took the opposite from what she said. You know you start playing a game and it feels like 1 hr or so but you look at the clock and its been like 3 or 4. you go down the abyss for what to you feels like 2 weeks but in actuality, 2 months have passed. not saying it couldn't be the case, there is much stranger stuff in the series (mitty lol) that's just my take on it

I'm caught up with the manga with Nanachi in the 6th layer this was nothing compared to "Best dad" but at less he was a pure dick that no one in their right mind would ever forgive. but there would be no point in her being nice, and she doesnt have to be a nice person in order to be likeable in terms of the story. that time difference isnt a literal one but a perceptual one (I think) on the surface they have the sun to keep track of time but in the abyss, there is no indication of if it is been 1 day or 3 days, its all up to your internal clock and most of the time your simply not keeping track.

You know you start playing a game and it feels like 1 hr or so but you look at the clock and its been like 3 or 4. you go down the abyss for what to you feels like 2 weeks but in actuality, 2 months have passed.

Moreover, I hear that from February, they ARE gonna do FULL reactions but for patreon only viewers. And tbh, one can discuss about one episode only so much after it starts getting tedious. They should edit out less of their reactions in a normal video and try to achieve at least a 50-50 or 40-60 balance between reaction and review. I, myself, can only watch till about 35-40 minutes before it gets boring.

Magnetism and gravity aren't the same thing as magic, either; you can't go "it's magnetism" or "it's gravity" and nothing else because _those are real things._
The box doesn't seal anything. If something alive is in it, it still gets affected by the Curse. What it does is that if something dead is in it, it gets reanimated somehow. You're making up fake information that has already been disproven just so you can support your own ideas.

I'm caught up with the manga with Nanachi in the 6th layer this was nothing compared to "Best dad" but at less he was a pure dick that no one in their right mind would ever forgive. Ozen is trying to do good but her method is pure ass, to the point where I actually like "Best dad" because he is unforgiveable.
but there would be no point in her being nice, and she doesnt have to be a nice person in order to be likeable in terms of the story. I think her character fits, a veteran white whistle who has seen it all and doesnt have too much delusions as to what the abyss is - an unforgiving death trap at the worst times.
as I said "Her method is pure ass" I don't care what her personality is, there are a dozen better ways to handle training children and pretending to be a sick and twisted person for any reason is just dumb and meaningless in a show like this, just be honest from the start and be done with it. If this were a Shounen then it can get away with dumb shit like this but it's not.
