I love this, born and bred in worcester. I'm still here 48 years later ❤
Ahhhh the good little place of Worcester
I remember the city well as a boy before they wrecked it in the 60´s. The Shambles were alive with life.Elgar's music shop with my Mum. The game shops Durrants etc. The Cattle market with bulls escaping etc.
Yet it's nice to see the people and hear the regional accents across time...
Thank You
Brilliant video filmed in my home city.
this was a fascinating film. Worcester High Street would be nothing without the people in it & everyone has a life story to share. Thank you
Yeah and unfortunately for some it is how to be a leech and see how much they can suckle out of ol' England, after our country has been well established by grand ol' European effort.
The truth is, you only have regrets when you are unhappy. When you are happy, you regret nothing, you forget the bad times.
I showed this fantastic film to the whole of Year 12 in school yesterday. We were talking about future choices (normally just job or uni) but this was a brilliant way to get them thinking of the bigger picture. Thought provoking, sad, funny, absolutely spot on. Loved the old lady at the end - can't change the past only the future. Many thanks to the makers - it is great, really well shot too.
Awesome!!! loved that so much!
I miss the old town
this made me tear up
I really enjoyed that.
So simple, but so thought provoking too.
Nice 1.
really good! well done
Brilliant, such a talent Jon
'you can't change your past only you future' - very compelling and really gets you thinking about your own life ?
Suberbly shot and edited !!!
Thanks heaps. :)
great work guys! :)
I have seen this before... I'm convinced we crossed paths too...
This film is a fantastic snap shot of reality.
amazing. please do more in Worcester
really beautifully done
Thanks for this film loved it. In fact I enjoyed it so much I went and watched the other Kindling films and joined google so that I could subscribe ! Looking forward to the next film.
Love the use of Bonobo ;) Nice film dude!!!
Ah my home town. Excellent idea, shame the music became too loud.
I have the option to move there, would you recommend it? Thanks.
@@itzajdmtingI would say yes, great place to live, but I am biased and now live overseas, so my memories are with rose-tinted glasses, probably not the best person to ask. Depends on what you are looking for. Worcester is surrounded by countryside, the Malvern Hills etc, so it's easy to escape to the country if needed and it's not short on history and some great buildings, not to mention the Cathedral.
@@nickt4683 Hi, thanks for your reply. Nice, sounds like it has a lot to offer. I was there last summer on a busy overcast day, seemed fairly lively. The historic buildings are beautiful and I absolutely love the Malverns. I am tempted I must admit. The property prices are about right for what I'm looking for and it's reasonably close to family.
@@nickt4683 I guess I'm just scanning for anything major that I might need to know, something only locals are familiar with... E.g. parking issues, excessive local rules etc
I like your movie. What camera you used? It was an DSLR?
Quite sad. Seeing listening to these peoples regrets and insecurities. I hope they can make a happy future
I am liking the way you shot this. Very similar to the way mine is being framed and shot currently. Look for Lancaster soon!
Okay, watched one of these, I'm hooked. What a great concept, been sitting here 2 hrs. Good, no great idea for a .... whatever you call it...series of you tube clips???
Lovely Worcester
whoever made this video made it bloody well, i think
Thank you! No, actually not me.
I wish you had stopped and asked the woman with a dog on her shoulder at 06:10, she must have had a story to tell!
big up the wr ting
Great film, great idea .I'd love to see this in a 4thought type slot. Would be interesting to repeat this process in different locations such as a small town High Street or a rural location, likewise different parts of the country and see if there's a common theme, or if people are as open and honest.
Well done. Very artistic. I just subscribed.
I love Worcester. It's like a second home to me whenever I visite.
I live in and was raised in Orlando, FL. As a Yank, why Worcester you might ask? My father was a GI and was stationed at Spetchley Park at the end of WWII. My Mum was the Spetchley Postmistress's daughter. Thank God my father had the presence of mind to marry that girl! Worcester women are the finest of the lot! So proud of my British bloodline!
Welcome to Worcester!
Kevin:I'm er...50 *asks somebody* how old am I
Me:idk dont ask me ....
1:50
You can't hear them talking because of the music in the background
1:49 LYE TOWN!!
Still a great video.
Sorry mate, background music too loud, had probs hearing peoples' answers.
7:47 that is cutting!

Amelia Ruff She's cute :)
Haha
The music is a bit too loud
Happened across an article about sacked bartender from Worcester being fired because she wouldn't risk spreading the Rona. As she was a hotty, I wanted to approximate what she might sound like. This was unexpectedly 👍
gd worc
I would of moved out of Worcester pretty sharp it's a hole.
Aw. It makes me miss the good ol' days when the most virulent name was not Muhammad.
I wouldn't of watched this pile of sh.. If I could change my past!!
