Yes yellow sooty flame means incomplete burn because of lack of enough oxygen in the air or lack of enough air. On a previously Venturi air adjusted burner, it probably needs cleaning to fix.

MY problem is it will not light via the ignitiin spark. I opened it up and there are no crap wires nor do i see where new wires would go. Its a surburban. So now what.?

that means it doesn't have an igniter. The knob says "ignite", as in turn up the gas high when you light it manually. Confusing.

i have a orange flame as well and did the same thing you did. But its doing it to all 3 of my burners. Any suggestions?

That is a bit beyond my experience but the system is pretty simple. I think there is a pressure regulator on the cook top and then there will be another regulator on or near your propane tank. If your tank is full I would probably be trying to test the pressure coming out of the regulators.
