Totally new music to me - knew of the opera, didn't know there was a suite. MANY, many thanks!
Prokofiev was into recycling, when he wrote some bigger work, there's usually a suite or two that go with it 🤣
I feel like that opening is like an hommage to Stravinsky Firebird/Petrushka/Rite.
