The actor in the back seat is Reece Shearsmith, who is a member of the League Of Gentlemen and also wrote and acted in Psychoville and Inside No 9 He and Steve Pemberton ( the other writer and performer) are absolutely brilliant and well worth a look
The car share series is a MUST WATCH, absolutely hilarious and the amazing thing is it's filmed almost intirely in the car as you've just seen in these outtakes.
This show is a real gem, so simple yet heart warningly funny, had me in stitches the whole series, bloopers used to be a much bigger issue financially in the film days, not so much in the digital age. Another show which is also very simple yet beautifully made and very funny is 'Detectorists', after seeing some of the stuff you find funny, I think you'd love it!
As an American, not a Hollywood wazzock, you would fit in - in the North West of England. You like this and Fred Dibnah with his chimneys. You share a similar brand of gentle, pointed and hilarious humour., based on real life. Best wishes.
This is one of my all time favourite out-take videos. Great to see you reacting to it! The "lyricl dance flap" out take is probably the best, Reece Shearsmith (the guy in the back) was deliberately messing with Peter at this point and its hilarious. Other brilliant out take videos are the Max and Paddy ones along with the Phoenix Nights out takes.
Can't believe you've not watched Carshare, it's genius!......... however, Reece Shearsmith and the rest of the cast of "League Of Gentlemen" is groundbreaking, British beyond imagination, just a British blend of weird, crazy, hysterical and shocking! binge it it's so well written.
Between you and Peter Kay, it's almost impossible to decide who has the most infectious laugh! If you can get phoenix Nights in the states with Peter Kay, you'll metaphorically laugh yourself to death. All the best to you and yours Mr EB 🇬🇧🇺🇸
if i ever want a good laugh i always type in car share outtakes, i love Peter Kaye but i think the few minutes of Reece shearsmith in the back seat makes me cry with laughter every time without fail ,such great lines as ' im the lyrical danceflap ' ' pump it up ' and ' here.we go now in a reggae type voice' ,tears running down my face as i write ...tis my mother tongue 😅😅😅😅😅
Ring is British slang for a a-hole. That’s why he’s laughing. And laughing uncontrollably whilst not being able to finish your lines is called corpsing.
Loved this thanks, Peter is known to be terrible for corpsing (getting the giggles) on set, but the good thing is on most of his shows he's the director too so he can't complain too much. The blooper reels for Phoenix Nights are also very funny with a lot of Peter laughing uncontrollably.
Must watch show. Some of the funniest things are the announcements on the radio, even billboards and shop names they are driving past. So many tiny details that are so funny but easily missed.
The driver giggling actually wrote it, so I don't know why he's laughing!!! The entire series is in the car, it's also a very sweet love story between the two people in the front.
He DIDN'T actually write it. Tim Reid and Paul Coleman wrote it, with Peter adding some suggestions, although they get VERY LITTLE credit for it. Peter seems to take ALL the credit for everything he does, including Phoenix Nights, leading to a huge bust up sith the other writes, ond specifically complained he wasn't even paid for his writing. I suspect Peter may be a bit of a dick, and a control freak.

Peter Kay and Sian Gibson went to university together and are great friends. The TV series is hilarious. The one with the escaped money is great. Your wife would enjoy watching Sven the car park attendant. Dressed up as a cowboy, he’s something to behold.
EB, your comedy reactions are so funny, it's your laugh that gets me all the time and in most cases i mainly watch the videos just to see and hear you laughing, without fail i'm always in tears, so thankyou for making a nice day into an even better more joyful one.
Peter Kay is doing a year long UK Arena tour starting in December. His first stand up gigs in 12 years. Tickets go on sale Friday and they will go faaaast!! 👍
Peter Kays 'Phoenix Nights' series is worth a look too...2 episodes are classics the 'family fun day' & the 'anne summers party'....a northern club on the bones of its arse & Peter Kay plays a number of characters in it🥰
LOL Paddy McGuinness when he presented a dating game show called Take Me Out, heck some of those televised moments had me in bits. Some of the time apparently in bits they didn't broadcast could be quite brutal though, but I suppose is just their thing really lol. When this girl bless her said something along the lines of "you know when you get attracted to your dad" (essentially saying like you date someone like your dad haha), he responds kinda almost deadpan with a bit of humour and says "No (but carry on so to speak)" lol 😂

Peter Kay Pheonix nights is beyond genius, its very local english (Northern) Comedy that just reflects a time in the north of england but my god its hillarious
Funny outtakes but real series worth a watch, the guy singing in back is funny he was in comedy a league of gentlemen. Peter Kay did a series called Phoenix Nights, which he plays a night club owner in a wheelchair it’s funny and sad. Worth checking out my bearded friend.

I would guess because of Reece Shearsmith's delivery and it is possible there were some ad libs and Peter Kay does have a penchant for corpsing 😊

Hi Alan just watched the out takes for carshare with Peter kay what a hoot did you ever get around to reacting to the series.
What makes it more funny watching Peter Kay crack up, is he wrote it so he’s laughing at his own jokes.

Having to redo scenes won't cost as much with stuff being digital rather than on film but too many takes could cause a shooting schedule to overrun
