What surely 24 is the age when you write your best music? Can't think of a musician who gets better in there 40's or even thinks as good in there 40's ,the 20's is best age for songwriting! Most finished after 30
People usually are at their creative peak in their 20s, there's nothing unusual about that. Edvard Munch painted The Scream when he was 29. The Beatles' entire lifespan was over before any of them had turned 30, meaning every single Beatles song in existence was written by people in their 20s. I mean honestly, it's more of a surprise when people have their creative peak later than in their 20s, so I dont see why certain people are so fond of pointing out shit like this in every fucking video, like "did you know he wrote this at 24??" like... yeah, of course he fucking did, when else should he have fucking written it.

I learned how to write poetry from this man. This is the Mad Hatter romancing Alice. God, how I love this record!! And even in 2023, I wait for his next release...and my next lesson.
We take it for granted I Want You is a beautiful Dylan song; however, consider how so much ahead of its time the song really is, because, after all, in 1966 many songs had Woop-Woop, Shopp-Shopp chorus to them. Then Dylan literally re-wrote how songs should be written. His concept evolved, through the decades, to the place popular music is where its at today. And it all points to Bob Dylan. Is he the best ever? His music influence is everywhere.
I love the sound in this album. Bob your voice and harmonica are crystal clear and perfectly up front as should be! All other instruments compliment in a underpinning balance! This is an amazing studio recording it just permeates! 👏👏👏👏👏 Of course these songs are all incredible! ❤️🔥 Thank you Bob!
My absolute favorite Bob Dylan album : I learnt to play guitar and harmonica and could do this song pretty good - much to the amazement of my friends - Blonde on Blonde is hypnotic and carries me away to a place I've never been to before and when I finished it I'm still not quite sure of the journey I've experienced - it was the last of Bob's mystical albums : Bringing it all Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and completed by Blonde on Blonde - In my opinion it wasn't until Blood On the Tracks did he come back to the mesmerizing lyrics he is capable of. What a genius.
My favorite is still Highway 61, but I agree that it was a great run of albums. Like Van's Astral Weeks through St Dominic's and the Stones Jimmy Miller years.
I consider it an honor to have lived at a time of social upheavle and civil unrest. The music and poetry that resulted can never be matched in it's originality and passion and at the forefront was this little man Robert Zimmerman who with his magical presence and performances shaped who we are today. Yeah, I like this song too.

I am confined -- I am isolated -- I am quarantined. Dylan coming to my city this June but I am afraid to buy tickets because what if we still cannot be in a concert crowd -- but I am afraid not to buy tickets because they'll be all gone and maybe these strange times will be over.
No matter the date, the year or the century, Dylan will always be a poet who makes songs for our souls.
I feel like a lot of people just think Dylan did folk songs for a decade or two, then instantly turned into that 80s voice. I think it would be great if a lot more people knew his career, and why he's so exceptional, even to his peers.
Who else could write a line like: "The cracked bells and washed out horns, blow into my face with scorn, but it's not that way, I wasn't born, to lose you. "
My favourite Dylan song, and i been waiting for them to ̶i̶n̶t̶e̶r̶r̶u̶p̶t̶, upload all of this classic records, they even uploaded Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and Blood On The Tracks, sometimes life can be beautiful
This one of those Dylan tracks that, once the Dylan bug bites you, casts a magical spell over you…and cuts right through you. A true original. Stunning.
Although love is hardly explicitly mentioned except in one line indirectly, the whole song just evokes it and the desire it fuels strongly. Masterfully done.
Just incredible songwriting talent...talk about meaningful, tortured lyrics of a guy in love with his woman..searing and intense delivery...wow, take my breath away!
There is a beautiful simplicity in this song and air of desperation, like he knows that it is a terrible idea to get involved with whoever this woman is but he can't help himself because he just wants her. I think all of us can relate to those sort of feelings
The minute I hear the intro....I smile and I sing....this is what music is speaks to you on a level that no other medium has...this man is a genius ty Bob
Now that I am retired I am preparing my all time top 1000 tunes ... a labor of love and respect. Several artists have multiple songs but Dylan has an astounding 5 songs in my top 100. Truly amazing (with one that just missed at 108). This one is at #39, Desolation Row at #27 and Like a Rolling Stone at #2.
As so many before me have been written this is a melody as bring me back to my youth. My favorite number one of Bob Dylon because it take me back to a very nice time in my life now when i be 70 years.
One of the great songs from one of the greatest composers of our times. Bob Dylan - the living legend. When I first heard this & the album Blonde On Blonde, I thought it was 'orphan bandit cries' in the first verse and that's how I always sang it in my head. The lyrics of this love song are just amazing. And I always thought the 'dancing child in his Chinese suit' might have been a reference to Andy Warhol and the target of Dylan's affection in the song was Edie Sedgwick but only Dylan would know & he doesn't need to tell. It's just a fabulous song.
Yes could be Andy Warhol, and I'm pretty sure "Please Crawl Out Your Window" is about Warhol/Sedgewick. Dylan's opiniin of Warhol was eloquently expressed by giving his Warhol original to Albert Grossman in exchange for a sofa!
I just love the electric guitar part in this. Everything about this song is perfect. I don't know how Dylan does it. He doesn't sing or play amazing but the sum of all the parts just creates something that speaks to me like no other artist.
Wayne Moss played the electric guitar on this. with Bob and Charlie McCoy on acoustics. Two more genius musicians from West Virginia (Wayne and Charlie).
"..... Honey, I want you Now your dancing child with his Chinese suit he Spoke to me, I took his flute No, I wasn’t very cute to him, was I? ....." “I Want You" by Bob Dylan

Well, I return to the Queen of Spades
And talk with my chambermaid
She knows that I’m not afraid to look at her

Thanks Joyce for your love, and support all through this times, it's been a wonderful feeling performing for my fans around the world. Though I rarely comment here on my UA-cam pages, I was attracted by the emotions in your comment. I'll like we get along and keep in touch, if it's okay by you. Where are you streaming from?
I found "Blonde on Blonde", such a bliss of an album. The personal in this album reaches new heights.
It's been too long, Bob. So glad to be with you again. Timeless.
My favorite Dylan song, also among my all time favorites.
Perhaps the greatest love song of all time.
Rarely does a song make me this happy .. for most of my life now !
Hello dear,how are you doing?
My most favorite Dylan song, when i was young, now and forever!
I learned how to write poetry from this man. This is the Mad Hatter romancing Alice. God, how I love this record!! And even in 2023, I wait for his next release...and my next lesson.
brings back my youth.
The first Dylan Album for me and still one of the best. Love it.
One of the greatest songs ever written
I grew up in the 60's my favorite Dylan songs
for sure !
@Bob Dylan THANKS BOB....LIKE A ROLLING STONE WAS THE FIRST 45 I EVER BOUGHT
@Bob Dylan sure I was at the Astrodome for the Rolling Thunder Revue
"He spoke to me, I took his flute." Yet another great line from this master of great lines.
Brian Jones..
That line is a reminder that lyrics don't have to make any sense to be profoundly moving.
I don't trust people who don't like Bob Dylan...
I wouldn't have put it that way; but, yeah, I' would have put it that way.
YOU MIGHT ASK "JOAN BAEZ" about Bob Dylan.....
Nor should you.
It's like they know nothing about music !
If I could say something half as cool as that, I would.
The greatest poet /songwriter of all tlme
The greatest singer/songwriter/poet ever
The Greatest Artist EVER!
I am so glad i saw him in concert a few years ago the last time he was in our state. Couldn't understand a word but I got to see this legend. ❤❤
Hello Dear, how’re you doing today?
it’s nice meeting you on here
I love the sound in this album. Bob your voice and harmonica are crystal clear and perfectly up front as should be! All other instruments compliment in a underpinning balance! This is an amazing studio recording it just permeates!
👏👏👏👏👏
Of course these songs are all incredible! ❤️🔥 Thank you Bob!
Bob is a genius when it’s comes to music Judging from your comments you must be into music yourself am I correct ?
Hello dear,how are you doing?
This song always reminds me that we should love someone special ❤️.
Its finding that someone.? Many don't.
Mostly ther just aint no-one worth ones love.
@@themanftheworld8439 If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with!

I’m sorry, Dylan’s music is part of my soul too….I’m glad you and your husband (bless his soul) shared him.❤️
Hello Dear, how’re you doing today?
it’s nice meeting you on here.
I consider it an honor to have lived at a time of social upheavle and civil unrest. The music and poetry that resulted can never be matched in it's originality and passion and at the forefront was this little man Robert Zimmerman who with his magical presence and performances shaped who we are today. Yeah, I like this song too.
Theses lyrics are still matchless.
Bob Dylan is the best singer wide world,no doubt about it;Thank you very much for ever.
❤Thank you, Mr. Dylan for being one of the most BEAUTIFUL poets of the last and present century. You have made a strong IMPRESSION on MILLIONS of lives. BLESS YOU forever and ever.❤
Hello Dear, how’re you doing today?

If I listened to this song every day for the rest of my life, I’d die a happy man.
Fantastic 😎😎
Song of burning passion and tender love. You would never stop listening. True masterpiece
I am confined -- I am isolated -- I am quarantined. Dylan coming to my city this June but I am afraid to buy tickets because what if we still cannot be in a concert crowd -- but I am afraid not to buy tickets because they'll be all gone and maybe these strange times will be over.
There's no tour this year. Look forward to 2021.
Just do it..
Concerts are exciting...but there is no rapport like one on one in the privacy of your room. You can savor every note and every nuance.
Do not exhitate! Go there and see/hear him.
If the concert has not yet been cancelled, go, buy the tickets. Life means taking a risk sometimes. Death comes to us all.
Greatest Dylan album ever !! He really shines ! Thanks BoB !!
Hello Dear, how’re you doing today?

No matter the date, the year or the century, Dylan will always be a poet who makes songs for our souls.
Falou tudo!
Dylan at his peak. His voice was perfect back then.
I feel like a lot of people just think Dylan did folk songs for a decade or two, then instantly turned into that 80s voice. I think it would be great if a lot more people knew his career, and why he's so exceptional, even to his peers.
@Rodger Hodgson who the hell is bruce??

Every time I hear this is like the first time. Blown away.

I will never tire of hearing Bob Dylan
Love the Album and I love this song! Makes me smile every time I listen to it! Thanks Bobby!!!
Who else could write a line like:
"The cracked bells and washed out horns,
blow into my face with scorn,
but it's not that way, I wasn't born,
to lose you. "
Connor Oberst ❤
Look up the song Everything must belong somewhere by Bright Eyes. You won't be Disappointed. Connor Oberst has been compared to Dylan before.
I waited so long too lol
I was so surprised to see me here?
This one of those Dylan tracks that, once the Dylan bug bites you, casts a magical spell over you…and cuts right through you. A true original. Stunning.
What a wordsmith, the best ever, a modern equivalent of Shakespeare.
Meh
@@clydenolet736 ikr
god, may I quote you Phil? so true!!!
"Wordsmith" is a bit of a reach, and by "a bit of a reach" I mean a massive reach.
Yes because he sold his soul to the hierarchy the chief commander himself
Although love is hardly explicitly mentioned except in one line indirectly, the whole song just evokes it and the desire it fuels strongly. Masterfully done.
Always my favorite thru all these years. Thank you Bob!!
@@Thin_Mercury I love your synopsis...I can definitely relate to this situation from my past...thx for your reply!
I'm curious, what is # 1 on your list?
I'm curious too.
🧐
The early Dylan - especially this one and the one of Highway 61 Revisited - is the greatest Dylan ever.
such a fine song, you feel every word.
But he does sing amazingly
Wayne Moss played the electric guitar on this. with Bob and Charlie McCoy on acoustics. Two more genius musicians from West Virginia (Wayne and Charlie).
@@johnbader3722 Thanks for the info!
A musical masterpiece.
You know when Dylan is trying to convey actual emotion in a song when he puts on his most unemotional vocal performance.
Brilliant! One of Bob's best songs if not THE BEST.
Brilliant song from bob , great songwriter wonderful uplifting and feel good song 😇🥰 god bless and please b kind to one another

This song still gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. What a masterpiece!
How can people still ask why Dylan received the Nobel price in literature?!
Beyond comprehension that!
My sister and I got into a fight over that. She can't understand he is like a miracle.
Dont trust people who don´t like (adore) bob dylan... ;-)
when they said it was going to be an american i thought "cormac mccarthy" - but i can see dylan
Dylan is every bit as much a writer as Gabriel Garcia Marquez was a singer.
Can't say anything that has'nt been said before!!! One of a kind ,he will be missed ,hopefully not anytime soon!!!!
