Olá my Darlings! It’s GREAT to see you here just chatting to us. Everyone has different ideas of what they like and what they may miss. Your staged, thought-out videos are terrific… I wouldn’t tell you to stop doing them but we do need some Amalie & Joen back back too! My favourites were when you just showed us neighbourhoods, daily life stuff and the simple holiday videos. I’m not a foodie, so I personally don’t care for food-heavy content… but that’s just me. I want to see the sights you are seeing, from your perspective! There are Many more great towns and villages for you to see in mainland Portugal and I’d be happy to see spots in Spain too, (but my first love is Portugal). Heck, love to see Greece & Italy through your eyes as well…
I don’t know what your plans are but in the Algarve alone you could spend 2 weeks there and hit each of all the popular towns and have content for 14 weeks if you post 2 a week! Then there are plenty of spots on the West Alentejo coast. You don’t have to go to just the bigger (better known) towns… there are plenty of charming ocean-side villages and towns. Plenty of inland spots.
I know sponsorship helps you, for sure… so the big productions are great… but I do miss the old days with you… (except for the swearing, haha. I remember when you were looking for a property to renovate in Lisboa… that was fun! Just walking the many different neighbourhoods is cool. Please just give us more of you two! Hugs to both xo
It's been awesome watching you guys grow since you started considering moving to Portugal. Can't wait to see you finally hit 100K subs. It's like picking a winning team to follow haha As for future videos, honestly it doesn't matter where you guys go or what you do, I will always watch because you two are awesome and entertaining and your videos have some of the best production and cinematography. I saw one commenter below suggest going to places like Galician region of Spain which I think would make for great videos especially since Galicia is so intricately tied to Portuguese history. When we did our trek through Geres, we drove across the border into Lobios in Galicia and attended the natural hot sulfur baths which was pretty cool. Other parts of Northern Spain I think would be amazing too like Asturias and Basque regions, the food, vistas, and cultures are fascinating. Mallorca would be cool too for another Island destination. Even something totally different and out of one's comfort zone like Japan (It's my dream to go there) would be so fucking cool. Anyways, whatever you guys do, my wife and I will be watching. So it would be cool watching you guys go to very popular destinations like London, Amsterdam, Disneyland,… But you say in the video that you’re going to Paris and Barcelona. You guys are so natural and funny behind the camera. I started off watching you because of wanting to move to Portugal, but now I just watch for the entertainment. I know you think you have to adapt to continue to grow, but I am not sure that’s the case. For me, I don’t think where you are makes any difference. It just matters that you stay happy with yourselves and each other and keep producing that content that reflects that. Love you guys ❤
I've been following you for maybe 3 or 4 years. I started because you were covering Portugal (I'm Portuguese) but your videos are always so high quality and entertaining, I'll watch no matter where you go. I'd love to see the old colonies and their food since videos in those countries are very rarely made by vloggers and it'd fit well with your brand. Either way, you should do what makes you happy -- some subscribers may lose interest but new ones will come.
I like these personal videos. You definitely need to do these atleast once a month I would say. Make the channel more about you over time. That’s how you succeed on UA-cam over time. Easier said than done.
Going to the Ex-Colonies would be cool. So much to see. The thing with Brazil is that you went right after Harald and it felt like watching a re-run... Goa and Macau would be so cool.
I think Portuguese viewers like to see what foreigners think of Portugal, but, maybe now it's time you showed Portuguese viewers the Portuguese stuff they never saw.

I followed you guys for a while now, and while I do enjoy your Portugal content a lot more than anything else (small villages, food tours, etc), you can definitely expand, your Mexico trip was a very welcome surprise. Do consider exploring Spain, specifically the border areas around Portugal, you can make some amazing content and there's a lot to explore. But stay yourselves, and do what you enjoy doing above anything else.
I hope you address the current asking price on your Feb villa video. There are still two left for sale that they are marketing at 3.8 million or so. Quite a difference from the 1.2-1.4 in your video from 2 years ago. Hopefully you can talk about the reasons why?

I saw a comment from a brand development below, and thought I'd also give my input as a product manager/strategist myself. I look at your most viral videos, and right off the bat I identify two of your biggest audiences: Americans looking to travel/move abroad and Portuguese residents/natives - where you need to go from here is think about these two audiences and what keeps them coming back to your channel and how you can target yourselves to the untapped audiences within these two groups. I'd personally lean towards creating more content about Americans moving to Portugal/Europe (covering all aspects of daily life), and also think about how you can keep engaging with your Portuguese audience at the same time - I have a lot more ideas on this!

Here is an idea for you. Introduce people that don't know about Portugal to its cuisine, a bit like the Korean Englishman, where you invite friends, family and strangers to try our cuisine. The weirds dishes, your favourites and even some not even you have tried. Have a conversation around it. Cheers! :)

Making videos profitable. I think showing homes at different price points and work with realtors. So maybe share the exposure. Your videos are amazing! I'm a photographer and I know how hard it is.

I do find myself favoring your videos. I did love the drone video work and your videos are more quality. I would ask about finding expats and communities so maybe some people interviews of those who have moved there. Or the music scene? Is there one? Any rock n roll or is it all just cultural? Musuems , art galleries. I'm a senior planning to move next year.
Amalia sounds like a natural good cook. I also like the idea of visiting former colonies or other Portuguese speaking countries. Between all the travel exposure you could focus on the cuisine and how culture influences cooking.
I’ve been a subscriber for years and really enjoy your Portugal content; but I also really like when you travel to other countries. I’m a bit of a travel addict myself, so I’m always watching UA-cam to find ideas for my next trips. Also, yes…some UA-camrs transition to traveling with children. And, just speaking for myself, I find myself unsubscribing from those….I wish them all happiness and good fortune, but with my limited time for viewing, their content doesn’t engage me in the same way. Congratulations on 100K - it looks like you’ve made it!

I was going to say you need to visit the Azores again. The Triangle is a good option (Sao Jorge, Faial, Pico) I think videos in other countries is great as long a you keep Portugal as your main destination. Former Portuguese colonies would be awesome! Also when you decide to start a FAMILIA! I think you will be shocked by how many more followers you will probably get from daily life videos. For example I also follow 8 miles from home. I started watching them when they were in Portugal and it's family oriented, and I believe the have over 300k subscribers, that could be you guys in the future. ;)

There are a lot of countries around the world that were former portuguese colonies or have a huge portuguese influence, so maybe tackle those If you feel people watch your videos for portuguese content. In the end what matters is the energy you put into each video and honesty in your personalities, at least that's why I watch you guys :)

I started watching you in your early days because of the Portugal content. I now watch because you are my “imaginary friends” who I love (and Lara!) ❤ I appreciate your honesty and can relate to the complexities you addressed. With so many subscribers, it might not be easy to determine exactly what the majority want to see. However, anywhere you go will be of interest to anyone interested in that area, and you will surely add new subscribers. Spain is huge with loads to see. I always loved San Sebastián. I’m hoping to visit more Eastern European countries soon, including Bulgaria and Montenegro. Your idea about more rough footage is also good. I personally like some mundane videos showing day to day routines, prices of things etc. Eight Miles from Home is a vlog with a child. I watched Story after her birth, her first steps etc. I don’t even know if they’re still vlogging… I’m likewise looking forward to your child 😊 I wish you all the best and seriously hope to meet you in person one day! 🙏

As for me I'd like to see more about scandinavian countries. I'm sure there a lot of cool stuff dealing with Viking history or monuments or traditions.
I used to think the same: “How would I have a child if my husband and I work 17 hour days?” We work together. So I waited until I was 33.5 yrs old; and then ended having 3 kids, 3 years apart. It’s amazing and honestly the best part of my life. It’s chaotic at times but my kids are my spice for life. You will never regret it and you will not even remember a life before them. ❤
It might be a stretch to say you'll "never" regret it - because let's keep it real, right? It's the deepest love I've ever known, so deep it hurts, and at the same time, it'll push you right to the limits of every aspect of your being. It's not unusual now that people decide not to have kids - don't feel pressure because you are made to feel like you "should".
My intention was not to place pressure on anyone to have a child but answer some of their reservations mentioned in the video on whether you could have a family if you have a busy lifestyle. Will you be ready? Have enough money? Is there ever a good time? No. In all the big stages of life like buying a house and getting married the answer is, NO. Like your wedding day is the beginning of a new chapter, so is having a child. It’s just a chapter. I have never regretted having a child or 3. My firstborn was born severely premature at 26 weeks, was hospitalized for months, and nearly died, our lives have been upside down at times. He is autistic, and yet I still feel that it was the best decision we made. I love my family. Most of my family & friends do not have children and we respect their decision. They are the cool aunties and uncles. I am simply stating that there is no right time and it is possible to build a life with a family if you have a hectic career. ❤
Our dog Happy (Coton de Tulear) is disappointed that Lara has a boyfriend. Always barks when he sees her on screen. Hey she can always come to the Madalena do Mar in February where we wil be staying as we prepare to move to Madeira.
I just discovered your channel. I love it ! Every video is fantastic. I can't believe it has taken the UA-cam algorithm so long to suggest your videos to me. It may be because I am a generation older than you guys and Google knows that because they have mined all our data from us. All I watch is travel content. And I discovered your videos because I am researching Lisbon as a "remote work" destination, and I am so glad your videos came up as a suggestion.
My favorite channel is Kara and Nate. They have 3.4 million subs. But I think you guys are an even better version of them ! People love that channel because of their relationship and their personalities, and that's what I instantly loved about your videos, the chemistry between the two of you. It's awesome. Why don't you take a look at their channel and see if their type of content might give you ideas ?
I think you guys need to get exposed to more people from the US, like myself. Most people in the US spend all our lives dreaming of traveling to Europe, but few of us ever take the next step and actually do it. Any videos you make from Europe will be loved by a US audience.
Whatever you do, keep doing it. You guys are AWESOME !

Love the Mexico series last year. Would love to see more places in Mexico , especially ones that aren’t the tourist traps, and get your take on where you would buy a place, if you were to get a second home there.
Would also love to see a France series. The food in Lyon (and in France, in general) is amazing!
How about traveling to places similar to Paris, where they are making the city more walkable, showing how much better they’ve become since the changes. (E.g. the Barcelona superblocks).

Exploring areas that are somewhat close to Portugal….I would Guess that many/most people watching are interested in Portugal (potentially considering a move there?) and would like to see all the traveling possibilities that are “close by” and not too expensive for people to make.

And you definitely have to come to the Azores this year, the other 8 islands and their people have so much to offer and I do think it’s in these islands you can find the real magic of the Azores! I guess you’ll understand me later this year! Although, if you’re planning to come here, please try to do it during summer since the weather here is a bit rougher than what you’re used to in Madeira during winter… I’d be willing to help you with ideas of places to visit!

Oh my gosh it could soooo happen to travel with a baby, that baby is yours and he/she would be so use to travelling because that’s what they would be accustomed to, there would be added viewers to the channel wanting to see family travel, older viewers would watch enjoying watching your family and remembering their own children and grandchildren and in Madeira there are great schools including international ones too, also sooo many different videos could be done including kids as content and you can still do your own thing sometimes without them even though people would refer back to “where are the kids we miss seeing them” lol don’t wait too long those great genes need to produce lol and don’t forget your parents how much they would enjoy meeting the future expansion of them too while they can enjoy this precious times , it’s going to be a great year for you I know it so cheers from 🇨🇦🇵🇹

I would love to see more videos of the Algarve. More about the comparisons of each little town and why I would like to live in each one. Really get in to the daily life of each town. Personally, I prefer the eastern side of the Algarve, as most people focus on the party side out west.

Even though I love your "bochechas" videos about random places in my country, I understand it may not be sustainable if you wanna keep growing for another 100k. I think the idea of visiting every single former portuguese colony is a good way of reinventing yourselves and also please your portuguese subs :) There's also not a lot of videos on that matter, so I think that's a gap you might be able to take advantage of!
Build your family now while you guys are young, have patience and energy. Every kid is different and some kids personality can drain your energy and patience. Also, you need to think that you need to have a life after your kids leave the nest so the earlier you can have your kids the better, imho.
