I saw one of these little guys at the pet store yesterday for about $100. I wanted him so badly! He was just amazing and so unique. They said he'd been there for like a month 🥺
My favorite Crocodilian! I hold dual citizenship so if you ever coordinate such a trip and open it up to volunteers or just other herp enthusiasts I’d pay and arm and a leg to go 😋🐊...see what I did there - Just a thought!
Do you have a video that explains the importance of lighting and nutrition in reptiles? I feel like for the people looking to get into reptile husbandry, it would be a very informative video.
Yes! A new Clint video! I am so happy I recently discovered this channel. Clint, thanks for all of the work you do, the knowledge and entertainment value is amazing on your channel
@@ClintsReptiles I think it was from Taylor Dean's channel, or possibly Snake Discovery... I am also so glad I found you, been binging your whole catalog of videos for the past month or so. You enthusiasm is infectious and endearing :-)
These guys seem like such sweet hearts honestly. The shot with him climbing your hand and just peaking his head forward reminds me of like a puppy being held. Just wants a little bit of affection and to hang out.
Sorry about the wait. This one was always in my back pocket, as I have them, and other opportunities just kept coming up. Hopefully it was worth the wait.
I’m really interested in getting a pet lizard, I catch them in my backyard all the time, I’ve went through your whole channel trying to find the lizard for me and I think this is the one!
Was on the fence about whether or not I should own one despite loving them, but you convinced me that they in fact ARE a perfect reptile for me, and I couldn't be happier about that!
I've had my Cuban False Chameleon for about 3 months now (Fidel). And I can tell you this... that fella is CONSTANTLY active throughout his 40 gallon (tall) enclosure. He regularly eats crickets and super worms without an issue at all. His favorite treat is the Dubia roaches. He is VERY affectionate and loves to be taken out and handled. 10/10 best reptile I've owned thus far. I got him from the Walmart of pet stores bc they put him with another male (major mistake). He was only $100 and I had seen him in there for about 3 months prior to me getting him.
"he's just calm as a cucumber" great comparison Clint :D I was looking forward to this video 'cause I wanted to get own fo these babies but I didn't... I actually got a veiled chameleon and she is absolutely adorable and DEFINITELY fiesty lol. I love your humor btw you're awesome and extremely rad of course ;P
I love how enthusiastic you are in your videos as well as informative about your reptiles :-) We need more people like that in world. Keep doing what you're doing! Excellent work!
I really think this is the right pet lizard for me! I loved everything you said about these guys! & I’ve already planned to have a large terrarium with a bunch of snails in the future. So, that would fit perfectly! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 What lovely fellows! :,)
“Boring?” says the anole to himself. “I’m not boring! I’m contemplative! It’s a thing called mindfulness, Dad!” 😜 Thanks for another great video! I loved it! In future I’d love it if you added in the average lifespan and what you can expect in terms of vet support to these videos. It dawned on me not too long ago that should I get a ball python and ace my husbandry, I could have that pet into my 80s because they can live 30-40+ years! That’s a big commitment, and I’d probably want to add the snake to my will to make sure a proper caregiver is in place should something happen to me. Also, if you discover you’ll have to cross state lines to get medical care for an “exotic” pet, that can impact whether that’s the best animal for you as well. Thanks again for all your hard work in 2019, and may 2020 bring you great joy!
I know this video is a year old now and I believe I commented a while ago, but this video right here is what started my research on these guys and a few weeks ago I finally got one! And they definitely are super rad and interesting, thanks clint for basically being my new reptile person I look up to 😅
Whenever Clint says Stinkin' Rad it makes me smile and happy :) also what beautiful eyes that little guy has :) thank you for teaching me more about another incredible creature :)
I got one of these last summer based on your year old video. It's been good so far and likes to hop a lot. It grew pretty quickly from a baby, and is just about ready for a big enclosure.
My boyfriend just showed me your channel and I just got to say how amazing this video was. We both take care of many reptiles and I think I just found the best reptile channel on UA-cam. Thank you for posting great content so I have another source of researching reptiles.(I am also working towards majoring in zoology >.
I was confused at first because I thought you had made a video on these guys already. I was thinking of your earlier videos and the videos Emily had put out 😄😄😄
One thing I would add as an owner is be careful when you are walking around with them or they are on a piece of furniture over hard flooring. As you saw in the video they can jump unexpectedly and their level of risk taking would be appropriate over a soft tropical ground of leaves and dirt. They can become mortally wounded in a split second if you are not mindful of this.
Thank you for your knowledge on the false chameleon! I started working at a reptile shop and they have only one I’ve been thinking about getting for myself and after watching this I’m definitely getting him!
“Almost too laid back”...I think that in my books just adds even more points, I have a 3 year old female border collie...I have enough excitement lol I’m looking at lizards I might want one day, so far I only have snakes...I’m still leaning towards another ball python.
@@ClintsReptiles the only problem is is that it's illegal here to have or import escargot snails, so I'd have to spend a good deal of time taking wild ones, separating out eggs into new clean containers and repeating for a few generations. 😅
