Yeah idk, I would’ve loved getting dressed up as a kid all glitz and glamor. Builds confidence too. It’s just some of the outfits are inappropriate and the flippers/tanning and stuff is over the top
Well there’s something off with the dad. I just feel he’s a little too into it and this can build insecurities over time when she is constantly being judged for her looks and even how she looks in a swimsuit.. at 4 years old. So there’s that.

I did pageants when I was a teenager. This was back in the early 90s. There were no bathing suit competitions, cause we were minors. Just causal wear and formal wear. And the little girls didn't wear makeup. They had to be naturally pretty. Man, I miss that shit. I'm glad I stopped doing pageants when I turned 15. Watching this stuff skeeves me out, but it's like a train wreck, it's hard not to watch.

Pretty sure natural pageants are still around… they just don’t seem as out there as this sort of pageant so they only ever showed one or two of those.

5 hrs at a spa for a four year old , she did amazing. I don’t think I could handle it. But she was a trooper.

I used to spend 5 hours at the hair salon sometimes when I was a little girl. I wish I would have a spa treatment. I don't agree with pagents, but I don't think it is nothing wrong with pampering your kids. It can make them feel special and teach them early to take care of their skin.
The kid genuinely seems to be enjoying it. Surprising, but good for her.
Yeah they weren't doing anything crazy, just multiple of services in one day. Having your kids nails painted and hair done at 4 years old isn't that weird (the massage and facial seem like a bit of a waste of money, but if the kid likes it and you can afford it go off I guess).

This is fine because there’s no force it seems as long as they keep that up and make sure she is happy and not forcing it then this is awesome hopefully they don’t change that
Personally I don’t think this lifestyle is good at a young age considering the fact that she has to walk on stage and have her body examined by judges who then may inadvertently tell her that she looks inferior to other girls, plus it’s not good for her to grow up like this obsessing over her looks.

The kids don't do this 24/7. Pageants are on weekends
@@Afmedic85 Kids have to go through several hours of training for those pageants that are just on the weekends. Not to mention it’s also exploiting kids and they shouldn’t be in pageants in the first place.

Not like she's getting a tan [fake or real]. Her parents, mom mostly, is with her during each step, and the Salon tech's are serving her cookies and juice.
And did you see their garage?! Filled with power wheels and dolls,etc. This is one aspect of her life.And the girl loves it!
And I have seen little girl's with supportive parents that stop doing parents altogether because the kid is done with it.

yall whats wrong with her father trying to support her, i mean there are other kids on this show who actually express how much they do not want to participate and i get that but this little girl obviously enjoys and likes pageants and if I were her I would be thankful to have a dad that supported me.

Also the dad: puts his 4 year old daughter in a spa for 5 hours then dresses her up to look like a porcelain doll when walking the stage where her visuals are judged by random strangers.
I am certain most of the contestant parents took them to the spa. Nobody want to look crusty in a pageant.

What about Dads trying to live vicariously through their sons by pushing them into football & baseball? I mention sons, not implying that daughters can,t play sports, just as having a son & being male yourself you may want to push that on your son just because. If they really want to instill confidence in their daughter, still being very young, enroll her in karate, martial arts classes. By ten years old she,ll be a strong confident pre teen.

@@walterszewczyk9024 I'm not a boy but my dad did push me into playing a sport he loved and that I just hated insted of volleyball which I've loved and will aways love. I mean for a time when I was younger it was good but as I got older I realized this wasn't for me and although I know he truely loves me and wants the best for me but everytime I tried to quite he would stop me saying u are so successful in this and volleyball wouldn't lead you anywhere. Which prevented me following what I loved for 3 years.
I don't think any parent should force anything on theid children even if it is healthy. Sure u can show them a path u already know about but it's their decision what to do next even if they're just kids.

I saw a lot of comments that a kid should play on grounds n stuff but my POV is if the kid enjoys doing this n doing pageants n sitting in a spa for 5 hours let them enjoy. N the fact that this girl was well behaved she wasnt even rude to anyone dude stop spreading hate bout 5 yr olds doing pageants BUT if the kid has jealousy n stuff like the other girl this is where parents have to teach their children whats right n wrong
No one's spreading hate about the kids... But they are questioning the parents. Not healthy at all.

Like its a competition whose parents can afford the best dress and spa treatment. I found this when my dd did dance. The exams judged on costumes! As part of the results. Its nothing to do with a childs performance.They need bikes and to go on swings and scrape knees a bit

I think it’s these are two of the best families throughout is it for the money in the winning the kids want to do it and parents are supportive of that and they’re not like as hard as the others
I think it's adorable she got a whole spa day! I remember being that age and always wanting a full spa day, always taking the cucumbers off my parents salad and putting them on my eyes!

Good mom and dad, they spoiled her by taking care of yourself. That is a good life lesson. She will nurture herself in the future versus buying things for happiness.
