I really like the capital region. I lived near Rochester for a while back in the 90s. Love the Finger Lakes region as well.
It's something that I always wanted to do, was to learn to speak Cantonese and Mandarin. I live about 6 or 7 miles from you in Troy, but I know the Albany area pretty well. It's nice to know that you're out there interacting with various people, and in their languages. Keep it up, there's a lot of educational and entertainment value in your dealings with others, please don't ever stop !! 😊
how many languages did you learn? i'm really surprised! learning is power! very great respect for you! the thing is.. when yu speak others' tongue, it breaks a very big ice wall, makes you seem more familiar and friendly to them. makes one become really comfortable communicating with others. that's why one simply can't stop smiling at the reactions.

I am German, Thai, Spanish, some Portuguese, Tagalog and a smattering of maybe 10 others. Been in 25 countries and never did this app-I think it would be fun as I can jump languages too. My Chinese is only a few sentences, hardest language for me hands down Thai, but the most enjoyable. I'm also an American white guy, although much older, so nobody expects me to speak anything hehe.
