Thank you for the recipe.. my wife got 2 tinn cut steaks and we have them in the freezer and now we know what to make with them. God bless you Jan and your family ❤🙏🏻
So nice to se your video, love your voice and your recipe sounds so yummy. I will try this out. Thank you Mrs Jan. 🎉❤😊❤ hope all is well in your life. Love your saying do something nice fot someone else. 🙏🙏🙏🌻🌻🌷❤️take good care of you.
Another incredible dish by amazing you I have got to try this my family will love it! Thank you so much for sharing Miss Jan love you so much From the ❤️ Vicki in Virginia 🤩
Hello Miss. Jan, I made the apple, cinnamon rolls and my family loved them. They eat them all. Thank you for the idea. I am also going to try the cherry cheese cake one too. God bless you and your family.
It looks delicious, Miss Jan. The only thing I think I would do differently is add the peppers and onions about 20 minutes before the dish is done - this way the veggies will retain some of their color, yet be soft and delicious. You can always add some onion powder in the early stages of the dish if you want that well-incorporated into the overall flavor. Just a suggestion!! I love the dishes you cook - simple but oh, so good!
Maybe... . I should stop watching you cook right before I go to sleep at night; been wondering why I've been so hungry during the night😂. But your voice and words are so calming! Thanks Jan!
That looks good , My Family does not care for Bell Peppers ,So I always use Fresh Mushrooms .I will try this real soon . I wonder how this would be with Steakum they are paper thin Steaks in a Box I use to make Chees Steak. Love the measuring .I measure same way unless baking .Thank you for Sharing another Delicious Dish .God Bless you and your Family
This dish looks delicious! We love the browned part because that's all flavor. Great job! I will be making this for my son and I. God bless your family.
You are such a sweet lady. Your voice is so calming, and I need that after a noisy, busy day at work. The steak and rice looks delicious. I will have to try that recipe. Thank you for sharing. 💕
This looks incredible! Ive used a very similar cut from Winn Dixie once for cheesesteaks which didnt work and several times for braciole or stuffed meat rolls which like this dish is brazed for several hours in a broth/sauce a lot like this and served over polenta. I bet your version would be great over fries or tots if you stopped before adding the rice and thickened the gravy/sauce
I think I would stir the oil and butter and then add the brown sugar and stir it in,too. I've been watching Sister Xia who is also a YT ber. She does the oil with rock sugar and stirs it to make a caramel sauce. Then, she adds her other ingredients to the wok. She will sometimes add water at the last to make a stew. Rice is cooked separately. Just an idea. But yes, think you can mix them together. And I would turn the heat down to medium so as not to burn anything. It was a little dark for me. But, to each their own.
My hubby loves anything cooked with rice.....I'm not a big fan of rice but he and my youngest son sure are. I'll give this a whirl and see what they think. It looks delish. Thanks for helping out with new recipes to try Jan....antique road show is so fun to watch....hope you enjoyed it while enjoying your meal. Love, Hugs and Blessings to you and the family.
As usual Jan you warm my heart and the hearts of so many! You are a true blessing and a gift from God! Please give my best to your Randy and let him know he continues to be in my prayers each day!.. Along with you as well...Did your Cailyn enjoy the coloring books and pencils I sent her for her Birthday? I hope that she did! I know she loves horses and that was why I picked out those particular books for Her! You take care and please know again that you and the family are all in my prayers each day! I wish i could fly ya'l up here for Thanksgiving this year and we could cook up a feast ...but this year I'm going to my sister's and she will be doing all the cooking...my health is just not up to it ...please stay safe and healthy...so many care so much about you my dear friend!!!! God bless and much love! Rus from Pennsylvania ❤ 🤓
MS. Ruth The pan she used I have a set. And when I say I love them truly !! You can cook on the stove top or bake with them in the oven !! They are awesome !! They are called imusa pots they have them at Wal-Mart.
It looks like the brand called Imusa. She mentioned she got a set of three and they do come that way, or in two. They are called "calderos" by Imusa. Jan's is the aluminum type and they also have some red ones with white ceramic on the inside. I have an old set of two that are purple outside with teflon on the inside and the handles and lids are the same as Jan's. All are the same shape and you can use them as all-purpose pans. You can find them at Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc.
This looks so delicious!!! The more onions and peppers the better it is. I like more than less. Lol I can just sit down and eat sauted onions and bell peppers. Love sauted mushrooms too. I basically make this same recipe but I just cook my rice separately and then we just put a bed of rice on our plate them put the peppered steak and onions and sauce over our rice. Oh I want some now!!!! Won't get it though.😭 Hope you have a wonderful day and weekend that is ahead. Always love watching your videos. It's so calming and soothing to hear you talk. You are such a sweet sweet person that every one loves! Love ya. ~Angela~
Jan it looks delicious. I love fried steak anyway. I will have to try your recipe. Not so sure about the Oregano though I like Oregano but with Spaghetti sauce or Italian dishes. I haven't ever tried the thin bottom round steak. I've always fried cube steak. I was wondering if you used instant rice? Thank you Jan and may God Bless you and your family. Sending Love & Hugs ❤🙂
Looks yummy Jan, and I love your glasses, eyes that is😚, I hope that you still have all of the variety of the ones that you has before, they all looked great on you.
Looks good. A little too dark for my taste. But everybody’s pallet is different. I love rice dishes though I would probably cook it a little less dark. Also could you do a video on how you do your manicure? It would be interesting to see it. Blessings
Oh yum miss Jan! I'm definitely getting the fixens for this on my next grocery store trip. I think my husband will love it. Also Miss Jan... can I tell you how beautiful I think you are? We know you have a wonderful heart and that you're beautiful on the inside but you are equally as beautiful on the outside. 😍
I was trying to remember the name of the 'stuff' that sticks on the bottom of the pan before you add the liquid. I finally remembered it's called 'fond' I hope I spelled it right. I love your videos!!!
It is just a mixture of the seasons she likes to use she just mixed them up and put them in the container and she calls it house seasoning. I make mine with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, paprika, a pinch of sugar. 💝
I love watching your channel your voice is so soothing that it relaxes me. This dish does look delicious I want to try this recipe out. I like antique roadshow too. God bless you friend.

I must be the only person in the world that hates garlic! It makes meg sick just too smell it. I am 75 and my mom never seasoned anything but salt and pepper or my dad would not eat it? But I love your videos Jan.

Hello ma'am. ✝️ God bless you!!
It’s interesting watching how others cook and season things.
I find it alarming actually.
I make my own recipe for steak and rice. I tried making creamed kale and mustard greens and it was real good better then spinach

Looks really good Jan 👍
New subscriber here ,luv ur recipes😁 thanks for sharing
Oh Miss Jan that looks AMAZING!!
Does anyone know what type/brand/size pan that is? It looks so useful!
It looks like the brand called Imusa. She mentioned she got a set of three and they do come that way, or in two. They are called "calderos" by Imusa. Jan's is the aluminum type and they also have some red ones with white ceramic on the inside. @@emmel4fun thank you so much for the information!
@@321Cheryl You're very welcome!
🙋🏻♀️Jan I have thin sliced steak in freezer, going to make that dish tomorrow. Thank you. Take care 😊
MMMMMMMM! Thank you Jan!
This looks a little like pepper steak, but the brown sugar threw me as well as the oregano. I'll have to try it! Thanks for sharing.❤️

❤🙂
The brown bits on the bottom of the pan is called fond, but I like your term better - "cooked on goodness"☺️
Many blessings to you and your family Mrs. Jan!🙏🏽🤗
This looks delicious but i couldn't understand some of the items she added. Is there a written recipe somewhere?
Janice you can tell we went to school together on how we measure stuff, lol....love your girl. Loved seeing you the other week.
Blessings
Yes, black doesn't appeal to me.
I would not trust myself and probably tossed that as burnt, lol. I never understand how that gives way to make wonderful flavor. Have to try this.
I just love your videos! Also, I'm sure you've said before, but what is in the house seasoning? Thanks!
What did you season the meat with please Jan? This recipe looks so yummy
I made a pecan pie for my friends too.
I was trying to remember the name of the 'stuff' that sticks on the bottom of the pan before you add the liquid. I finally remembered it's called 'fond' I hope I spelled it right. I love your videos!!!
Are you fond of the fond? 🍲 😃
It also slipped my mind when she was trying to remember.
Add more water. Average done you can take off the lead and let it sit fiber 10 minutes to dry out the rice.
What is the seasoning you used first on the meat?
She called it house seasoning.
It is just a mixture of the seasons she likes to use she just mixed them up and put them in the container and she calls it house seasoning. I make mine with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, paprika, a pinch of sugar. 💝
@@J.A.7 thx!

Woshashyer is also different try that too
Looks delicious Jan, 🐄 🐄 🍴 🔪 🍽 🍷 🍷 🍽 knife
What is the seasoning in the glass jar? You didn't mention what that is.
It's a house seasoning that she made. She has a video on how to make it.
@@bobcadley3763 a seasoning people mix that they use in their kitchen 🎃
Looks yummy 😋 love your videos ❤️
This Thin Steak and Rice recipe looks so delicious Ms. Jan.
I noticed you don't use your own roasted garlic anymore. Just wondering why it always looked so good!
I was wondering that too.....I can't cook without Jans roasted garlic recipe. It's always in my fridge. My family loves the roasted garlic!
Good Lord a mercy! That looks sooo good. I need to make this!
P.S. Whatever happened to the lady that called you "Lady Bug"?
After she won that prize she never came back. Believe her name was angel?
Oh yeah, she called her "Lady Bug" on every comment section. Haven't seen her on here as of late.
I love this recipe. But I was taught to wash my meat before cooking?
I love watching your channel your voice is so soothing that it relaxes me. This dish does look delicious I want to try this recipe out. I like antique roadshow too. God bless you friend.

Fantantastic food but takes much to long with all the instruction. I did not watch all the demonstration, to many words.

I like garlic but definitely not that much. lol
I never see this thin of meat at my store? What store did you get them at? Thank you
You can get a worker in the meat department to cut any steak and/or roast into thin slices. That is what I do.💝
Jan, my mouth is watering as I watch this. It looks delicious. Thank you.
This looks great!
Hi Jan!!! I like your new pot. Looks like my Braising pot... Your recipe today really does look so...tasty. I can never find thin packs of steak like that. I have got to try this. Nice video my friend. GOD bless...
Have your butcher slice some or get the cut of steak you like and freeze until it’s just solid enough to slice the thickness you desire. 💕
Wow delightful
