God created heaven and earth - all that we see and all that we don’t see. We learn that the earth is filled with men and many things we can see, but our faith tells us that there are many things on earth that we cannot see, including the presence of God and angels. Fr. Mike explains how human beings are spiritual and corporeal creatures, but angels are immortal, purely spiritual creatures. He tells us more about the role of angels and how, possessing intellect and will, they too are created to glorify God. Today’s readings are Catechism paragraphs 325-330.

I always said this as a child. Somehow it has fallen by the wayside in my adult years. As a 70 + senior I see the wisdom of again praying this each day, at the other end of the spectrum of this life on earth. Thank you for the reminder. ♥️

That was the first prayer I learned. MyDad taught me when I was maybe 4 or 5 years old
An essential prayer! I also pray the Chaplet of Saint Michael every night on chaplet beads to invoke the intercession of St. Michael and the nine choirs of Angels including my Guardian Angel
I find it so difficult to focus on this Catechism sometimes. It isn't a story like that of the Bible, it seems random at times. But I am grateful to the Holy Spirit who continues to draw me to it every single day and makes me hit replay so I can listen and take it in a little bit more a second, third and fourth time
Me too. Go to the part under the heading where the transcript part is. Then click on it. You can read everything that is said and you don’t have to keep going back to replay it. That helped me. It may help you too.😊

I see it more as mini teachings about whatever subject we’re on..like today angels
I don't think it's humanly possible to absorb all of this information in this I crammed style. Not for me, anyway. I listen everyday and try to take in what I can, but for me it's more of a slow and percolating process. Information that can only be absorbed through time and experience.

Reading about the angels made me smile. It was the feast of the archangels and the feast of the guardian angels recently, I asked them to pray and watch over me and everyone in this community.

The spiritual world takes up no space. WOW. I honestly had never thought about that. It blows my mind. I used to wonder at how all of heaven could be present at the Mass. I used to look up at the ceiling of the sanctuary and imagine them all crammed into that finite space. I'll never again imagine it that way. Just contemplating this one simple and seemingly obvious fact that the spiritual world takes up no space lifts my finite mind and transports me. I see angels everywhere!

Just today I was thanking God for all the help he gives me to help me to heaven. The greatest, of course, is His very self, but He assigns an Angel to me, our Blessed Mother, my confirmation Saint, St. Rita of Cascia, & at other times other Saints for particular needs. St. Monica prays for my son’s conversion with me. St. Anthony is always helping me find lost items. I call on my Guardian Angel & the saints frequently. Thank you Father in Heaven for all the spiritual help You send us🙏❤️

I have learned this guardian angel prayer when I was in my first communion class: Angel of God my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day (or night) be at my side, to rule and guard, to light and guide, amen. We pray to our guardian angel whom God gives us for our protection. 🙏
My mom taught us the Angel of God prayer when us children were toddlers. Used to be our bedtime prayers. I still pray that until this day, and I am 56 years old. More especially when I am heading off going to work or running around. Just routinely...start the car, put on the seatbelt, then sign of the cross and say Angel of God...❤🤗

I believe that God deserves all the glory for giving us a beautiful planet to live on and enjoy. We all should learn to take care of what he has created for us.
An AMAZING book about angels I recommend to anyone interested in learning more and in depth (but it's a short book!) is "The Angels: In Catholic Teaching and Tradition" by Fr. Pascale Parente. Very good and fascinating.

Moved to tears today. I have disregarded having a “guardian”Angel, being in my opinion “off duty”, when needed. But in listening to the recent podcast- good, evil and mystery of God etc. I realize Angels are subject to where and when the Father allows intervention. I had dealt with anger at God but not at my Angel! ;) I was overwhelmed with repentance and joy.
WOW!! Just beautiful!! So much to ponder. So many days I find myself wanting to "turn the page" and keep reading!! (So, a lesson in patience as well.) 😇❤🙏

Praying for Souls in Purgatory.
Saint Faustina pray for us!
I have literally been covered in little white feathers during particularly dangerous times of my life ( such as just after avoiding serious accidents) and when I have been at a low point, feeling sorrow and sadness. It gives me great comfort to know God sends his angels to protect and comfort us particularly when we need it most.
Thank you for another great reading. Anything with Angels is always fascinating. I also feel they love us because we are a piece of God. He created all of us with a small part of him within us. Which makes us all very special.

For a human, trying to understand the nature of angels is like a brain cell trying to understand a heart cell. They have different functions, and they have different compositions. The metaphor that we are the body of Christ is really profound! We are the smallest unit in the Body of God. We are part of Him, but we are not indispensable. Understanding the whole structure of the whole body is impossible if you are just a cell.

Day 46 I LIKED 1. @ 03:08 ' We know that there is more that exists than we actually see ' RFLT - In this podcast there are so much of conclusions made by the Church which are truths which can be of immense help to our understanding of our existence. To feel that there are more around us than we see around is mind chilling. Yes, me, being an engineer with a little flare for physics, we understand that we are able see only those things that reflect a minuscule part of the total bandwidth of electro-magnetic radiations, about 0.035% only. Now with the four senses other than the sixth, the eye we can perceive much more. Birds by hearing its shrill sweet song, the rabbit by caressing while its hair, colourless home-made wine by tasting it using the tongue, and fish bye smelling the fish curry . But here we come to know of the existence of much more around us that cannot be perceived by the Five KNOWN senses. But remember still made of matter. Am I right? Beyond that is the spiritual realm. Broadly the creation falls under two orders. Matter and Spirit. Thus coming to the the world of the Spirits, and to feel, that they are around us is mind-chilling. What an equilibrium. Very active, but not directly intervening in our day to-day activities. And the angels, who are spirits, serving God and passing the message from God. And they are closely interacting with us, but not felt nor experienced directly by the Five Known senses. More than knowing it as a concept, if we relate ourselves into the reality of their existence, it would make our lives, more heavenly than mere worldly. HelpMeRelateWithAngelsOhLord.
