Was knocked by a a minibus taxi on my Harley on my way to work on Monday (Cape Town) and currently have a broken foot and contemplating riding again. Then I remembered you had a fall on the Pan Am and in a cast and seeing you back on the bike and riding has motivated me not to give up riding!
Sorry to hear that Adam, we hope you heal up quick! Stuff happens and that is always a possibility when riding the bike. The important thing is that we learn from it and keep moving forward👍
I’ve love to see the Harley engines keep getting bigger. For someone who rides a 88 ci I wouldn’t know what to think on a 135!
Pretty crazy to see how far they've taken displacement over the years!
Love what you guys do, great to see you doing something different at Daytona 23 , those of us that didn't make it this year are seeing parts of Florida we never knew existed, as for the 135 that is both awesome and insane at the same time.
Thanks for the support, Ian!! It was definitely a unique experience and we're glad we could share it with everyone. Some cool things to see along the way for sure!
Great video, the look on your faces after taking the 135 for a rip is priceless, as I ride an old 96ci I can only imagine what a 135 pulls like. I was shocked when I read my comment at the end of the video, im flattered, thank you so much, hope to meet you all at Sturgis this yr. Cheers from the Great White North.
Thanks Bill!! That thing was a monster for sure! We appreciate all of the great comments and had to share that one. We hope to see you in Sturgis!👍
I was the second person in my county and Harley dealership to upgrade my engine from the 114 to the 135. With a D&D exhaust system and the new flat, horizontal air intake, my bike screams. I love my bike.
That's awesome!! The 135 was a screamer for sure!
@4:26 "Can you hear that guys? Pure Harley power" No, no I cant hear anything but the background music track. Would have been nice to hear that but clicks are clicks🤷♂️
You'd hear nothing but wind noise unfortunately. Thanks for your input.
Carol Shelby and Colin Chapman are the folks who have shaped my reality of ICE engineering. Let's be clear, what ever you want is complicated. Thank you for sharing, Ride Free
ROFL! I do this every time I get on my VMax, but I typically slow down around 130-140 or so :)
😂🤘
Riding, motor cycle life~ 🌞
If you raise your hand, 👋, it's even more nice to meet you. It's safer. It's more honest.
Always be happy with you.👏👏
Thank you for watching!
Now we all want 135 crate engines in our personal bikes. :)
Once you try it, there's no going back😂
Great times had by all, thanks Paul!!
The 135 looks awesome I’m excited to see what else Harley has to show us this year. 🤙🏼
Same here!! Thanks for tuning in, Darrell 🙌
I do have a custom dynamics headlight in my road glide limited.
Good stuff!!
Muy buen video el que acabáis de editar. Lo mejor los cuatro moteros con sus cuatro Harleys. Asta el próximo ,Congratulacions.👍👏👏🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️🍻
Another awesome video!! Thanks guys
Thanks for watching, Joshua!!
What a machine!!! Looked Awesome!!!
That thing ripped!!
Great edit again ! How is DJI pocket osmo attached to the handlebar ?
Thank you! Josh used a klock werks iOMount and superglued the metal disk to the camera as the camera is not flat
Another great video, you guys crush it every time
Thanks for tuning in, Ed! Glad you enjoyed it👍
That RG looks good on you Josh 😎
Thanks Mike!!
How did the mufflers sound? I did a stage 1 kit with screamin eagle mufflers a couple of years ago and wasn't happy with the sound. I then put Reinharts on and love them.
These ones souded pretty damn good. Maybe not as loud as aftermarket, but nice and subtle and the sound quality was 👍
Gonna have to wait until Lance Jr gets his 135 installed, once he's relocated in Moorpark, CA to hear and see it , raw and in the wild. Or maybe at Born Free down in the OC later this year.
👍
Awesome 135! I need one!!
Same!!!
Damn, I'd like to see an actual test ride review of the engine. Every video is the same. Everyone understands how quick an engine like that moves a bike at WOT and high revs, but I'd like to hear someone commenting on basic stuff like off-idle torque or fuel mileage. How is this engine in daily riding?
Unfortunately, all of the helmet audio from this ride had some sort of recording error and we had to improvise when editing it. We each rode it and tested pulls in various gears while recording our initial response, but it didn't work out. We agree. Thanks for the input👍
In our experience, it would be a reasonable daily rider as far as being a smooth and comfortable ride when not giving it the beans. We only rode it locally, so we can't really speak on the fuel mileage.
Thanks for tuning in👍
Nice review keep up the good work 2 LaneLife
Thanks for tuning in!
GAWWWWWDAMN the 135? You guys are GREAT! Hope to meet up 1 day. Excellant videao AS ALWAYS!
Good times!! We hope to see you down the road 😎
My 2022 is Screaming for this motor ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It was a blast!!
Everybody's always hating on the Harley Davidson. For what we want in our bikes, Harley has the best starting platform out there. Expensive, yes. Worth every penny, yes
Agreed!!
But will it last for 20k miles, from what i've seen with the 117 & 131's.....probably not. My 110 tire shredder (2011 dyna street bob) is plenty enough for me.
Guess it all depends. Gaylin sold his 117 at 50k miles all intact and we have a few buddies that have put some serious miles down on their 131's with no issues. Time will tell 🤙
This one got my adrenaline pumping! Don’t know if I will be able to sleep after watching this! Damn that bike is bad ass!
Haha it got ours pumping, that's for sure!! Thanks for watching, Rich 👍
As an expo. Put in a BMW K1600 bagger in with our v twin Indians and HDs. K1600 has 160hp 135torque stock. 🤦🏽♂️ Good job moving forward HD but could you move a lot faster
Edit:
And it has heated seats/grips, elect adj windshield, amazing adj tele lever suspension for mid 20K
Thanks for the great video 🤘🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it!
Don’t know if y’all will say, but would the appropriate cost for dealer purchase and install?😎😎
Their prices are online for the motor itself, but not sure how much for an install🤔
@@2LaneLife oK THanks😎😎
12-15 hours of labor. So figure about anywhere from $1500-2000 labor on top of engine cost, header, materials and tax
Great video
I bet the 135 was amazing
It was insane!!
Gotta have a puck for that sand 😂😂😎😎
😂
There was a 131 stage 4 RG for test riding, I thought that was fast as hell!
Some serious power to say the least!
Cannot wait to add that 120th long sleeve tshirt and that 135 to my inventory 🤘🫡
Oh yea!! Thanks for watching, Alejandro 🤘
@@2LaneLife send me a free shirt!
So now you can keep the bikes you love. Just drop in a 135 and SMILE.
That motor is so awesome looking and sounding
Agreed!! Such a beast 🤘
WOW
🤯
Think Ill roll down to the dealer to get one on my bike...but wait..... I live in Ca so no I cant..that sucks
Might be a while until the EPA allows it
My 107”/128” Stage IV makes 139 HP and 140 TQ. Is that crate motor really worth it for just 3 foot pounds of torque and less force power?
For some, being able to get that right out of the box is worth it. It is also a great starting platform should one want to just add cams and a tune (or more) to get some monster power. All preference 🤙
How much will it cost?
www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/screamin-eagle-135ci-stage-iv-performance-crate-engine-air-oil-cooled/p/16200786
@@2LaneLife that's not bad. Had 5g into stage 3 on my 88 ci 2005
I'm holding out for the 136!
😂🤘
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
🤘 🤘
I love how Lance Sr yells your bike when it was a borrowed bike! But I understand you don't want a bike down ever!
What else would he yell? 😂
Haha thanks for watching, Ken
@@2LaneLife no problem guys love your show! Love the content and living vicariously through all you guys are!
@@kenkenyon444 We'll keep 'em coming! 🙌
Here!

😎👍👍
😎🤝
Videos like this end up costing me money!🤑🤑
It brought on some temptation for us too 😂
What are owners supposed to do with their orig engine?
Sell it or keep it as a spare
OOOOOFFFFFDAH! Now everybody wants one. Hmmmmm, will it fit in my 2018 SGS???
It's designed to fit '21 and later touring models without modification. For earlier years, there may be some modification involved. Thanks for watching, Michael!
Are you going to the Harley Davidson Homecoming in July?
We'll be at the 120th!
Bring it. LOL.
Let's goo!!!
Isn’t screaming eagle limited??? If someone buy a big build, it’s because they want the most they can get for the money
4:20!
Haha we caught that too😂🤘
Love your videos, but I’d love to hear the 135 without the music. That beautiful Harley is music enough.
There wasn't much as far as sound went as it was filmed on a gopro and there was a lot of wind noise, but thanks for the input👍
Are you guys going MDB on us now? Lol
😂🤘
Is there an error with the playback or is it just me?
We've had a few comments on that but are not seeing it on our end 🤔
Definitely fine now, but last night was definitely confusing when you got off the 135 smiling it started skipping.
Rad
😎
E.P.A. emissions compliant (50 state or once again, 49 state only, excluding Kalifornia?) and a 2-year warranty...when tuned with the HD-SE Tuner, catalyst equipped exhaust and presuming when Dealer installed (?). 130hp & 143 ft.lbs. of torque at the wheel is decent power. Would imagine with a Cam change and tuned with non-HD tuner would easily yield north of 155hp & 160torque (dependent on cam choice).
Now for the elephant in the room, specifically those of us in the biggest motorcycle market in the country (re: Kalifornia): C.A.R.B. approval? Pending?
Why is the Motor Co. (HD) taking "forever" to get Stage Kits (& Crate Engines) available here (Kalifornia) for our local HD Dealers can "legally" sell & install these to us and maintain warranty??????????????????????????????
Waited 2 years just to get the Stage-2 cams (Torque cam / Power cam) for a 2021 Road Glide. Ridiculous! Stage-3 and Stage-4 Kits still not available.
The EPA makes it pretty dang hard for large and small companies alike to be able to pull that off in a reasonable time. The moco does absolutely everything in their power, but it inevitably comes down to restrictive CA politics. The 135 will be 50 state eventually
👍😍🤩✌
🙌
Anyone else seeing the audio is out of sync ?
Someone mentioned that, but we're not seeing it on our end. Thanks for letting us know, we'll keep an eye on it 👍
Harley wants more horsepower…… Do they use technology? NO, build a bigger and heavier engine! HAHAHA
😂🤘
I don’t know if it’s just me, but the audio doesn’t match the video it looks like one of those Chinese kung fu movies that is dubbed 🤣
Haha interesting! It's looking good on our end, but we'll look into it. We removed a small section after uploading and hopefully that didn't mess things up. Thanks for letting us know 👍
So what are would the feeling be from a 103 😂😂😂😂😂
Haha a bit different for sure!
Pretty weak launch... no tire spin? Looked like it shit the bed out of the hole...? Exhaust is definitely lame.
Love the positivity. Make it a great day👍
I dont see the need for that much power unless you are doing track days. Why is it so important to some people to be 1st off the line or have the biggest motor lol
I guess there are those insecure people that seek the attention or require validation of other?
Different strokes for different folks, that's all! To have an out of the box motor with the power of a built bike but still under warranty is pretty dang cool. The power comes in handy more than just off the line (aside from maybe in Florida haha). Thanks for watching, Snake Bite👍
