That Jack the Ripper one was probably my favorite old haunt... unless we can count the log ride as a haunt, then maybe it was the sleepy hollow theme of that. Are you allowed to record on the log ride these days? No one seems to include them in their Scary Farms vids anymore.
I know you guys are still uploading your videos of scary farm, but I gotta ask how you guys truly enjoyed your experience at haunt, in comparison to years past. I’ve attended haunt since I was a teen some moons ago, and I can’t deny the quality and effectiveness of scary farm as a haunt has definitely been diluted, maybe even degraded. The scares just don’t seem the same. They feel theatrical more than they do legitimate. Like they’re acting for the cameras more than the effectiveness of the scares. The mazes have grown more complex, but they don’t seem to have soul. Just high cost props, more theatrical jump scares, and long winded special effects. Even the scare zones, the bread and butter of scary farm, seem more empty and diluted, with the scare actors coming off more like they’re being held back than being unleashed on the crowd. Idk how long you guys had been going to scary farm before your UA-cam days, but even back when I first saw you guys on the other channel, the haunt experiences felt better then, as opposed to these recent years. And nothing lessens the legacy of scary farm haunt like the introduction of modern Disney-esque gimmicks such as the interactive lanterns and the “no-boo” necklaces. Maybe it’s just me being in my 30’s now, but I just feel haunt isn’t haunt anymore. Like it fell victim to being just another event that caters to influencers.
EXACTLY WHAT THIS FEELS LIKE. I think you have to act like you are scared to get scared is what ive noticed, if you go in without acting scared the monsters will notice. Another tip i have is dont chat with the monsters and break the fourth wall!! It will feel more intense if you do these. The knott’s scary farm monsters are definitely way more friendly though…
Yay summer glad your back doing what you do best with Kaleigh
