- Healthy lungs are very important. Taking care of them doesn't have to be hard. A simple mask will protect your lungs and keep you strong and healthy!
In this video we are going to be going over the Base camp M plus mask and the M cross mask. ( not yet released.)
Basecamp sent me the two M cross masks go try out and give them my thought. I am also lucky enough to be able to share them with you!

I purchased this to block cigarette smoke but was surprised that I could still smell it. I guess this is for dust only. 7:47
It only slightly reduces odors . If you want to filter out the smell of cigarette smoke, may want to look into a 3M with either a cartridge or the correct filter.
You only talked abt the fit, but didn't say whether or not it's a good mask- It'd be helpful if you spoke about how effective it is. (I mean this respectfully and constructively)
@@alyssiataylor546 yes of course, I totally get what you mean. Well, I have had this mask for years now and it has worked great for me! Fits well and really does keep dust out. I haven’t really tried it for spray finishes or spray paint, so I can’t say how well it works on that level. But for your basic wood shop it will keep your lungs nice and clean. !

I work in epoxy and do a good amount of prep work, which includes grinding mainly concrete floors. I just wanted your opinion on how efficient it is against concrete dust because I know concrete contains silica and just want to protect my health.
Are the filters washable?? I would need a lot of them over 100
Hmmm. You know, I don’t know. But you can buy extra filters. I know that.
How do you know when to change the filter? I do wood working and have no idea what I’m doing with this new mask lol
Sometimes you can see the filter turning brown on the inside, from the dust. The definitely when you should change it. Then check the website or bag it comes in to see if they have any recommendations. Or just to be safe. Every 3-6 months.

My Diaphragm won't stay in place after I changed the filters. When I out it on the mask isn't air seal tight as it was when I first put on the mask. I've tried it many times but it doesn't seem to work. Any tips. Please help. Thanks
Hmmm interesting. I know one time I put the filter in upside down. That could be a possibility. Other than that I would just say, make sure everything is where it needs to be. And put back together exactly the way you got it. It should fit back to your face all the same. Hope this helps.
@@madiradesign thanks for you reply. The facial mask that I was trying to put it in didn't work because I washed and dried it in a washer machine. The second pair that came with it didn't had that same problem. 👍
You like the velcro or buckle clip kind better?
Velcro is great for quick tasks. The buckle is best for longer wear.
Are these masks good against soot?
I couldn’t say. Never tried it, but I wouldn’t see why not.
