  • Habits…we all have them. Some are healthy and others aren’t. Although creating healthy habits requires a conscious effort and lots of practice, unhealthy habits seem to have the uncanny ability to sneak up on us without warning. The good news is you can retrain your brain to change your unhealthy behavior much like you do when learning any other skill.
'As part of TogetherWell’s Wellness Wednesday series, on November 10th Dr. Michele Haley, founder/director, invited board member Dr. Matt Harris, a neuropsychologist, to conduct the second segment of a four-part series on habits. This session focused on “The Neurological Basis for Changing Your Behavior.” Dr. Harris provided insight into the science behind how and why habits develop and why it’s so challenging to change them. The good news is that with practice you can change your unhealthy behavior and cultivate healthier habits.
