my mechanics I was about to comment on your video of the soldering iron and say that I love how supportive you are of tsytube. You guys have different styles of doing restorations but you are the only two restoration channels that I watch and a big part of it is how friendly you are to each other. Keep up the amazing work you both do
Sometimes I'm asking myself:"How the hell did that guy remembered how to pull everything back together????" But after that I realized, that you have a video record, so you can just play it backwards to see all the process. xD
@@-Sergey_ he clearly doesn't want patina on his restorations. He consistently removes it through sand paper and such. It's for his own collection so there's nothing wrong with removing all the patina.
@@athazel4585 It was possible to scan/photo the label to outline the original typeface in any vector graphics program. Smaller size could be replaced with a much more similar typeface.
Restoration is awesome, but the sticker is lame. If you give me dimentions of original sticker I can recreate design of the old one and send it to you to replace.
Nice restoration although I think you could have tried harder to find the font for the large label. There is a website called “What the font” where you can take a pic of some type and upload it to their site, it might come up with fonts that are closer to the original.
I can actually listen to something good while watching like lofi hip-hop. Not like other UA-camr that put this disgusting free music everywhere. I mean some have decent free music but most...
Quite! I really like the sound of the real work. It's really satisfying. No music is great :) but I miss the light jokes comments of Tysy tube. And he didn't spoke of stickers on this video. His work is getting better and better.
I loved the video, and the restoration. But as a Graphic Designer, the label reproduction left me a bit unsatisfied. The old school French font used in the original was wonderful, and it was totally lost in the new one. A pity...
As an approximation, for the "MURATORI" part, Cocotte Alternate Heavy can be used. Another font could be Nouveau To Go JNL. For the rest, Hammersmith One is one nice substitution.
This came out very beautiful Tysy, well done 👍 So shiny that you gave us a bonus face reveal. Nice garden as well, looks very relaxing (even though you live not far from an airport, no?)
I think you should invest in a lathe, if you already don't have one. Will make sanding cylindrical objects much easier, and would enable you to say: 'I'll make a new one'. Regular viewers of similar channels will understand the reference easily. 😉 Other than that, a beautiful restoration. Love your work!
One thing I love about this channel is your thoroughness . So many people only bother with the bits that you will see, I like that you take the time to make all of it beautiful and shiny
I have found a new love for restoration videos. So satisfying, almost like a therapy session. Makes me wish I could restore stuff so amazingly. This channel is quickly becoming my favorite. I hope I'm not the only college girl watching these :)
And i'm not trying to tell you how to do thing but if you use soapy water with your Wet/dry sand paper it comes out a lot smother and keep the sand paper cleaned out.
All these "pros" commenting on here. "I use vinegar and salt!" Well I use Silly Putty and C4! No! You have to use water and formaldehyde! Why don't you al just watch what he does and appreciate the outcome? I don't think he asks nor does he care what you would have done. I guess your videos are different.....oh wait! You don't have any!
Absolutely beautiful, this looks like it could be a fun hobby for me ( I have autism and ocd) my autism makes me like to take things apart and put them back to together and I also have a love for vintage items, I collect vintage toys. How much dose this hobby cost to do? It dose not seem cheap
3:52 broke my heart. I understand that the sticker wouldn't have survived but with the plate in place I would just leave the new sticker off. Still - a great restoration and even greater to see it put to use!
*If you put that in wire wheel cleaner for about a minute it would have done 95% of that including make the copper shinny. You have to get the stuff that's phosphoric and hydrofluoric acid for it to work. You can buy from auto paint shops. Stuff is amazing what it can do to metal how it dissolves the oxide and leaves the metal behind*
Omg the moment you striped away the sticker you made me have heart attack! I watched the rest of the video disappointed thinking "wasn't there any way to save it?" Seeing you put on a new one was such a relief! Did you make it on your own or you ordered it from the company (if it still exists)?
Saw this video and two days later i went to visit my grandparents who i hadn't seen in 3 years, this exact pulverizer was standing as decoration in front of their window!!!
You can make those leather cup washers yourself, if you cant find replacements, by soaking a circle of thin leather and pressing it into a wooden former and letting it dry.
I also had a heart attack when the sticker was removed. After being exposed to so many chemicals, I would assumue that there was no way to preserve it. The new one is nice, but its not the original. Another great video. Cheers. 😄
Dude, I love your videos. My favorite part of my day is when I see u have a new video and I immediately watch it. If I wasn't broke I'd ask how I could donate 😂. Anyways keep up the great content 👌.

Rust remover will not work with copper. To remove patina use vinegar+salt+flour.
He still removed it, but with sandpaper and polish. So - the same result, but easier to reach.
