I love how pillage turns your enemies buildings into mini gold mines late game xD
It does, but not very fast -- the Peons' attack is still slow and not very much for each attack (and reduced by Fortified armor), and they are min-tomes-of-XP for your opponent.
TC sacrifice was like a beautiful queen sacrifice in chess… brilliant play.
It's okay grubby, the ends justify the memes

Shockwave do so much damage on building, this is nuts! Too much feeding with your hero's deaths. Maybe, keep the staff of teleportation and "hit and run" with Shockwave on minor building.

This is how I tried to play when I was 10yrs old. I did not understand the game well enough to pull it off... Much to my ally's dismay

I think it's a success for Grubby's opponent that he managed to get Grubby to make a non-peon unit

its funny, that is how i used to play my W3 campaigns when the game was new to me, i just used the heroes to fight, and turtle up my bases with towers so i dont have to manage armies

Blizard could make peon's attack has siege dmg. Cause it's like so weak unit, it should have something good to be useful.
imo this was winnable due to lvl 3 wave. he just had 15 buildings. just telestaff rinse repeat and tower bottom right.

In hero only strats it should always be deemed acceptable to use zeppelins and sappers. And it's more immoral to lose than to use units in a last effort to win.

Can someone tell me how Grubby binds keys to units? He has like 5 binds and when i’m playing ive got no idea how to 😀
Select the group you want, hold CNTRL and then press either 1-9 to set it to one of those keys.
shift # to add units to groups and control # to reset whole groups. pretty sure grubby does 1-6 for units and 7-0 for buildings

I wonder if watch tower creep at the end might have worked? It seemed like UD often took a look of damage on the wyrms when taking buildings, and if you defend with TC you might be able to kill them one by one.

He got into a macro mindset while playing solo hero, classic strategic blunder.
Great video, however I think we deserve a real attempt at this challenge using the proven principles of solo-hero not some weird peon macro. You have to put on constant pressure while tower creeping, don't let them get xp. The attempt to solo-creep with shockwave basically doomed your strat from the get-go.
I am already getting more than I deserve.

The stomp was really bad this game. It took away your ability to use the shockwave. It would probably have been better with shockwave and endurance. Maybe stomp was okay at level 2, but from 4 and beyond it would have been better with endurance and reincarnation.
I never knew peons could pillage.😅

Also why unholy aura as final item when you have endurance? The regen is too little for a single unit, the MS does not stack, Circlet would probably be better, or Claws (if more dmg than Orb) or even another Orb ...
Ngl, when I saw it was a near hour long video, I didn't except grubby to still be level 5 more than halfway through. I'm a little confused as to why he didn't utilize speed scroll more in this game to get a little xp from low hp units and then run over and over considering the enemy had 0 stuns. Instead it kind of just became a mass peon game.
TC is kinda whack for solo hero challenge. Ultimate could have make a difference here but tbh Blademaster is the undefeated champion for solo. Bladestorm shreds entire armies.

Regarding how Pillage functions, is it possible in a FFA match for 2 orc players to feed one another by repairing a building that is being spam attacked by units with Pillage?

Can anyone explain why he does this move where he quickly drops the circlet and picks it back up?
Healing and mana potions recover a flat amount. When your max health or mana changes, it stays at the same percentage as it was at before, rather than the same flat number. So if you're at 75/150 health, then drop an item that was giving you 50 bonus health, you'd be at 50/100. You can then heal for 50, going up to 100/100, then pick the item back up to be at 150/150. Effectively increasing the amount of healing you get.
the circlet gives him more health which takes longer time to heal back up so he drops it giving him a lower health bar and reequipped it back once he has healed

It is reforged but he is using the old Wc3 models. You can ssitch between them in reforged. I guess it's optimized too.

Well, he is Very fast in atk speed already, so it he doesn't really need it but more survivability does.

Ravens have somewhat limited energy, so spamming turrets is... wait. This is WC3, what turrets do you mean??

He did not need the bats... just invis or invo + mass shockwave until the last base collapsed

Losing TC lvl 5 3x in a row cuz no TP bought and then on lvl 6 not training resurrection and losing it on lvl 6 didnt help with the game either :D DK and lich exp went almost entirely out of those 4 loses :D

No. Its a fixed item system. But, that Merchant item in other maps, they give random items.

yoo crist you should rly have tooltip integration on a code base level.
So when some freakin const. gets redefined and messes up all documentation,
it should instead be linked in a computer science fashion, so the docs are never displaying values that are off to the code base!!!

Description should have mentioned bats or that there were something more than peons trained, feel tricked. But the game was long but fun to watch, thank you, but some of your games recently are low on dance and music energy without any special reason (I haven't watched you earlier kinda many years because of this), but the gimmick ones have a tendency to have more energy. 😀

Yeah, just sell ankh when the only thing you are allowed to have is a hero, why would you want a second life? you can just have some gold that can't buy you anything useful, you are very smart, you should definitely tell former world champion what to do, random broken english speaker
