KTM Semi Auto Wire Issue

After being told I had to wait a month for KTM to check my bike for a safety/hazard issue directly related to the suspension, preload and damping.... I decided to go looking for the issue myself. This is what I found !

I've got the same failure on my 2021 KTM1290 SAS - thanks for the video, I'll try and get into that area and take a look. Did you finish up getting a new cable from KTM ?

The most positive response to this issue involved reseating the cable after removing it(as shown in my video). It stopped occurring for a good while but started to intermittently happen again later on. It was the only way to correct the error once it became permanent, no matter how long or how many times I turned the bike on/off again.
With regards to the part, yeh took quite the while to get it in stock. Then after getting it replaced by KTM, it unfortunately occurred as soon as I picked it up from the dealership. I showed the workshop guys before turning the bike off again. They took it back into the workshop and when I picked it up later that day, without doing anything further, they claimed it should be fine. It is intermittent and a real pain in the ass. I will continue to take photo's and videos of it when the problem occurs and then 6 months prior to my warranty expiring I will take it back in to get resolved. If after that point in time they claim I need to fix the issue at my own cost, I will then pursue the matter against them thru the legal system. Other than this the bike is great.
