I was at the Lowes Motor Speedway race in 2008 with my family when the tire came off of Vicker’s car. We were sitting about 30 rows up directly across from the pop-up camper it hit. It looked much more violent in person. That’s the last race that I’ve been to. The only other race that I’ve ever gone to was at Talladega in 2000 during the fall race when Sr. won his very last race before getting killed in Daytona. I’d love to go to another race again and will just as soon as I have the means again. Such great experiences. I really miss that roar. Great video, thank you.
@@Retired_Detective51 If you are waiting to have the means again, I'm sorry to say that you are one of the many fans NASCAR lost not through dying, but through choice of making the fans face natural selection. :)
"This is an automobile coming at you, Doordash is the sponsor, doordash me some new underwear" and "It's real to Bubba. Real close." might be two of my favorite NASCAR calls ever.
6:38 "you may have forgotten that Kyle Busch won the 2021 Busch clash" I'll never forget, one of the few wins from the 18 in 2021 Clash, Bushy McBusch Race, Pocono Part 2
Might be a loose fit, but I had such a soft spot for Paul Menard and when him winning the Brickyard after conserving enough fuel is an all-time moment for me.
Besides Kyle Busch, I can remember at least 2-3 times Justin Haley stole wins right at the end when the leaders wrecked. And he got a crazy first cup win because he managed to get the lead when it started raining. Legend.
My favorite pure luck moment was 2009 Michigan because it was amazing to see Jimmie Johnson and Greg Biffle run out of gas on the last lap with Mark Martin passing them both.
6:43 I remember this like it was yesterday, because my friend is a die hard Chase Elliott fan and I jokingly told him with 2 laps to go that Elliott and Blaney are gonna crash and Kyle Busch is gonna win it... My stream of the race was a bit delayed and before I even saw happened I had 5 new messages in all caps telling me to fuck off
If i remember correctly, Brad Kesolowski's first win was from 3rd on the last frontstrectch with a sponsorless car at Telladega when the Carl Edwards and Kyle Bush took each other out and one of the drivers went into the catchfence before landing on Ryan Newman's hood. Also, NASCAR counted Edwards's finish when he sprinted across the finish line before being taken to the infield cat center. There are so many lucky instances in that finish.
My luckiest nascar game moment I was playing chase for the cup and was in 9th position at Talladega on the last lap but there was a lot of traffic behind me now it's important to note i usually have terrible luck at superspeedways for whatever reason I was running up top and two driver's passed me next thing I know the two cars in front of started crashing one of them traveled straight up the Hit the wall head on and got airborne I was sure I would lose even more positions but to my amazement the car flipped through the air and landed right behind me without even touching me
Kyle won the dirt Bristol after that quote at 7:36. He was not wrong tho, I mean yes Busch won races with luck, but that was only the tip of the iceburg of his total wins. Bowman on the other hand.......
one will never know how mad I was that I turned off the TV on the final lap of that race when Larson blew his tire on the last turn I should've just listened to my lady
Surprised there were no Elliott moments he is pretty lucky most of the time And here are some moments -His first win. If Truex didn’t run out of fuel, he would have lost -2022 Nashville. He got a lucky caution and when leading there should have been another caution -2022 Atlanta. Elliott forgets he has a brain and drives into the side of LaJoie -Pocono. Hamlin won, Busch got second. But with NASCAR’s favoritism, Elliott won the race. -2022 Talladega. He got lucky because it was a crappy race. All the races he wins are crappy
I got a race used tire for free after the final Cup race at Rockingham. My cousin was working for NASCAR at the time and he took some of us to the race. We were walking around the pits after the race and he was buddies with one of Jeff Gordon's team members and he got me one of the tires off his car
KB has this ability to spot when shit's about to go down on the last few laps of the race and position himself perfectly to steal the win or a higher placed finish when it eventually does go down. Not a fan of the guy but i gotta admit his race iq is really impressive
There is also luck for fans at Richmond there is a fence that between the pits and fan zone and sometimes they throw lugnuts that are used over the wall
Oh Kyle Busch has gotten extremely lucky a few times in his career. I still think it's fair to say he's given way more races away than he has stole tho...
in the 1979 (i think) daytona 500, donnie allison and cale yarborough wrecked each other on the final lap of the race, allowing for richard petty, who was in 3rd, to take the win.
The fan getting a tire was not "100% luck." A tire hitting your camper doesn't seem like very good luck. Bowman winning also wasn't "pure luck." Bowman put himself in position to win in case something happened to Larson. Him running 2nd before Larson lost a tire was skill, not luck.
Him being 2nd was skill, but Larson getting a flat on the last turn of the last lap is complete luck for Bowman. Bownmans skill got him 2nd place in that race, but luck got him 1st place.
Random question: What's your NASCAR favorite fuel mileage finish? 🤔
can't exactly remember but there was an xfinity finish (I think at autoclub) when two or three guys lost their fuel, might have been in 2016
@@H3ndrickson It was in 2016. Kyle Busch blew a tire, Daniel Suarez ran out of gas.
@@ChiChiWoo aight thanks
Pocono 2015
Paul Menard @ Indy
Kyle Busch is the type of guy to be really lucky 1 race and be unlucky the rest of the season

so true 😂

Let’s hope 2023 isn’t like that lol he already won one! 😂
Won gatewy

now the luckiest moment is chastain to wall ride to pass hamlin
Yes
Same to Winn-Dixie 250 in Busch series Mike Wallace got luck Jason lefler hitting the wall while blocking Dale jr
Imagine if he snagged something on that wall, would have been scary as fuck
I agree that was a lucky move. It took talent not to wreck, but it also was a move he could not have known would work for sure.
And most controversial after finding out it was actually illegal.
It’s okay to be talented and lucky. You just gotta be there at the end with no problems
Yep. As I always say, a W is a W
Needs updating now after yesterday 😂
if you think about it it's super lucky to even be a driver in cup only 40 people out of 8 billion at a time is insane to think about.

5:50 Damn I remember that moment with Bubba Wallace's POV at Talladega in 2021!
3:17 That was a rough one…..especially being in the pits that day. 😞
3:30 I was rooting for Martin Truex Jr and watching the race live when I saw the caution come out I knew it was over sadly.
Your Vids Make my day keep it up❤
Luckiest moment ever: Kyle Busch not getting banned from NASCAR after he wrecked Ron Hornaday under yellow.
Best fuel mileage is when Kyle Busch won the second race at pocono when his shifter was stuck
Larry Mac saying the only way to find out is go dig it out of the camper in the infield cracked me up
If i remember correctly, Brad Kesolowski's first win was from 3rd on the last frontstrectch with a sponsorless car at Telladega when the Carl Edwards and Kyle Bush took each other out and one of the drivers went into the catchfence before landing on Ryan Newman's hood. Dale was lucky but he was in the race. It’s not like he was running 10th to 20th all night. He was running 1st-3rd with the 4 & 48.
And Busch led the most laps 2013 at Fontana I believe.

Bowman has won maybe 2 times on pure speed where Rowdy has done it at least 55 times. He rarely lucks into the wins
Richard Petty won his sixth Daytona 500 from third because Donnie Allison and Cale Yarborough wrecked each other.
Posted this right before Chastain smh

What Dillon did was actually genius. He saw that the cars on the banking were losing control and realized it was the banking that created an issue.

Yes But They Use It On Roadcrouse
favorite fuel mileage race, is a tie, the iconic Bowyer vs Stewart at New Hampshire
Best fuel mileage win? Harry Gant at Michigan?
My lucky moment is that my bday is the same day that the Indiana race track is used 😀
2009 Michigan where Mark Martin absolutely stole one because the two cars ahead of him both ran out of gas.

What about the 1950s to 1990s lucky moments in NASCAR?
NASCAR did take Vickers tire to investigate why it came off.
Jr lost multiple races because they went back racing when he was leading at a rain delay.
I have to say the Australian guy in the Chicago street race winning
Hey first
How many races has Kyle Busch won after being 3rd on the final lap?
The fan getting a tire was not "100% luck." A tire hitting your camper doesn't seem like very good luck. Bowman winning also wasn't "pure luck." Bowman put himself in position to win in case something happened to Larson. Him running 2nd before Larson lost a tire was skill, not luck.
Him being 2nd was skill, but Larson getting a flat on the last turn of the last lap is complete luck for Bowman. Bownmans skill got him 2nd place in that race, but luck got him 1st place.
the luckiest one is chase elliott winning in pocono after denny and KB were DQ that is just pure luck
Chase Elliott won at Pocono this year because the drivers ahead of him got disqualified
austin dillon was too lucky. he couldnt hold onto the playoffs in the next round.
where is Justin Haley cup win at Daytona, won because of a lighting strike.
