Well, this all is very true and all but honestly, the relationships which us teens are making in this day and age and before the age of 18 are really not turning out healthy. Hear me out before making any assumption. The thing is, they have gone too physical and sexual which is really not right for their age. I've observed that most of these relationships are never successful and leaves either side emotionally disturbed, the main reason being most people have relations just for the sake of it or with bad intentions while some even just do it to maintain a status in their social circle. The other reasons being hurting either person's feelings, being physical, sexual, making one uncomfortable and doing things just out of peer pressure and the adolescent hormonal changes in the body. Ask yourself if you've observed this or not. It's very rare that I have seen anything serious come out of any relationship that was made in teenage. The same people who made relations then, have now grown up to conclude that they were really stupid back then and had ended up emotionally hurting themselves in some way. I'm pretty sure you know such people or see someone doing it right now in their lives. I really am not saying that dating in teenage is really bad and you shouldn't do it, it's Taboo. Neither am I saying that all the relationships of this generation are unhealthy. I'm not being a boomer. I'm from the same generation. It's just the right intentions are really important and also that before a certain age we really are not mature enough mentally to even make decisions regarding relationships with anyone. So the message in the video was great. But, I would really like to add that if the case had been for a toxic relationship, and you know what stands for a toxic relationship, then it really needs someone to interfere and take action. You don't have to do much. Just take care of your loved one or your family member. Take care of people that matter to you. Be it your sister, brother, friend, anyone. Take consent from that person, say, from your sister. Consent is very important. Don't go and do anything stupid without even asking them. Ask them if they are in any way uncomfortable with their relationship. Brothers should learn to do that. That's what really being a man means, no unnecessary macho stuff. It's true that their sister's personal life is personal. But, we really wouldn't want something bad to happen to any of them because we love our sisters and at their age, they might not be thinking straight. No one thinks straight in teenage, trust me. So take consent, get to know the situation, see if they are comfortable or not and then take required actions. Interfere in the relationship if it requires. I am a brother myself, and I strongly believe that my sister has her own life, her own decisions to make, live according to her choice. This example of knowing boundaries is quite inappropriate... Nowadays teens are getting so much into thse relationship and endings in pregnancies and making a total mess of life... What the brother did is absolutely correct.... When I was of my teen age I always felt that I need to be free... But now I do realize it was necessary then

The problem is that the brother is assuming the relationship will be toxic. If we allow our children to date then they will come and talk to us about their relationships and even take our advice. Because the advice will not be “don’t date anyone” it will be “done date this person because xyz reasons”. Doing it this way will help them understand what red flags to look out for in the future. Telling girls they can’t date at all, beating someone up for simply writing a letter, saying “don’t talk to her, talk to me.” Takes away the girls ability to explain herself or express her opinions. This goes onto adulthood where her opinion is never considered important in the family because no one ever asks for it. Also I can guarantee you this guy, the brother, will have no problem having a girlfriend himself. Because to him he’s a good guy and no one should stop him from having a relationship.
Also, we need to openly talk about sex education to prevent pregnancies. That’s the solution, not this!
