I'm a singer for my church. When I first joined, I was hesitant to sing because during practices, I had doubts about my voice and my performance. I was debating whether it was the right choice for me stay and I was getting into my own head a lot. I'm so blessed to be around amazing godly people from the worship team who talked to me about worshipping God first and focusing on him when singing, instead of focusing on myself. I am very grateful for those words because it gave me confidence to sing and praise him on stage. I always pray that I will focus on God first and honor him in church. I'm grateful that God has given me the opportunity to sing for my church. Tommorow for the first time, I'm going to be a lead singer for a song. The Lord is amazing.

When I was a child we had 1 pastor in our church and he took the whole service. He would choose which choruses or hymns to sing then he would sing in unison with the congregation while his wife played the only instrument, the piano. This is true worship in honour to God. So called worship teams these days have lost focus they've forgotten that they've supposed to lead the congregation in singing. They're supposed to sing with them not to them! They put far too much focus on themselves instead of putting it all on God! I pray that He will open their eyes and return their footsteps to the path of righteousness. Hallelujah! Praise God! Amen!

I learn more about God and this walk in Christ listening to your videos than I ever have attending a building of wood and stone growing up. Everytime I attended with my parents it was always the same preaching over and over every Sunday about being saved and alter calls for the unsaved but never about spiritual warfare or walking in holiness. I used to think being saved was all I needed but coming across your channel Daniel has opened my eyes to a whole new view in this walk in Christ. You are truly led by the Holy Spirit and you help me understand everything I never did before. Some pastors yell like they are rebuking the church but you say things so calmly like God is talking to me directly through you. It makes a huge difference. I feel God's love and peace through your videos. It makes me want to do right by God like I don't want to disappoint him. My pastor put my daughter on the worship team at age 15. She was not mature enough, but I trusted him. I was a young Christian myself, I got saved at age 42. She is gifted but now has gone off into the world. Trusting He will work all this together for good. God gave me a verse when she was young. Isaiah 54:13-14. It's a promise I hold onto. This walk is not a straight line, lol. Thank you for truly pointing us through sound biblical teaching. I have such peace when I listen. The holy spirit knows truth and confirms it. I keep reading and listening every day.
Songs that uplifts the soul like the old rugged cross, a mansion over the hilltop and many more I really love singing Christian Old Hymns. The depth or the meaning of the song is so deep that you don't need to be emotional just to understand it. It really has the power to change lives not base on emotions and feelings.
I love the point about praying before the service. Praying with the congregation as well, to bring together the congregation. It's the essence of unity and humility that's missing in modern worship services. And those who struggle with bright lights and loudness due to health reasons are left completely out. I don't understand how this entertainment mode of worship services continues. But I would love to be able to be drawn to tears in worship again.

So glad you brought this issue up-we attend a small church and sing old, doctrinally sound hymns, but now we have begun to put in newer worship songs with a leader and the congregation isn’t led to sing in unison which is the very definition of congregation! You end up not being able to follow and get frustrated which does affect the sermon effectiveness...you were spot on with your list and wish you continued success in reaching hungry souls for Christ.

I'm coming back to the heart of worship cus it's all about you, Jesus. I used to sing that song regularly as part of the worship team. How wonderful to glorify God, and Jesus in the spirit. Daniel, I couldn't agree with you more-- unfortunately, I don't go to church now, I get more spiritual growth praising God every day at home. I would, however, like to become an active member of church again. In Bogota, there is only one chuch for me, with my Spanish. So, I always pray for Jesus to lead me in the spirit. I'm truly happy to hear someone to bring this up. Today majority of people are too nice to confront... Worshiping becomes more like concert, recitals, or even personal devotion time. 2 Corin 5:13 if we are 'out of our mind,' as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. So please, it is Sunday worship, it is for God alone, please choose some proper songs and say proper things.
We Should Not Worry For Our Heavenly Father is Very Close, Even When We Think He is Far He is closer then you think. But Be Thank That God Had Given Us Another Day and We Get To Live In This Beautiful World God Has Created. I'm not good when it comes to sing a song so when other leaders in my church sang they always make their voice high even though the notes are in low tones. We are same sometimes I chose to praise God alone sing a song even though My voice are not good like others but I sing a song For God because I know HE will Accept my praise, my sing and also I know He wasn't looking for good voice only.
As our older pastor was getting ready to retire and they were working on the new pastor to take his place, the songs and presentation began to change, more contemporary for the younger people. It really changed after the older pastor left. Harder to sing along with the newer songs. Sort of too fast to follow at times. So, sometimes now I just sing when I can follow the words, and praise Jesus in my heart when I can't. And when they have the lyrics on the screen they have no breaks where they should be to show you there's a break between lines. I like older and earlier contemporary worship songs. I understand they should be keeping up with current songs for the younger people in the congregation. I have no problem with that if I could sing along with it better. Once in awhile they sing an older one. But, not as often as I think they should.
I wanted to add my thoughts about repetition in songs. It has a hypnotic effect that can be addictive. I think secular music people know about this and use it to their benefit. I could name one song in particular but I won't because people might read this and go listen to it. It's not any better done in Christian music because it's just manipulation of the emotions and feelings to make you think you're making a connection, plus it is addictive and people want that same feeling over and over again.
Worship is not about how you perform. It's about your personal encounter with God ❤

My pastor put my daughter on the worship team at age 15. She was not mature enough, but I trusted him. I was a young Christian myself, I got saved at age 42.
She is gifted but now has gone off into the world.
Trusting He will work all this together for good. God gave me a verse when she was young. Isaiah 54:13-14.
It's a promise I hold onto. This walk is not a straight line, lol. Thank you for truly pointing us through sound biblical teaching. I have such peace when I listen. The holy spirit knows truth and confirms it. I keep reading and listening every day.
Songs that uplifts the soul like the old rugged cross, a mansion over the hilltop and many more I really love singing Christian Old Hymns. The depth or the meaning of the song is so deep that you don't need to be emotional just to understand it. It really has the power to change lives not base on emotions and feelings.
I love the point about praying before the service. Praying with the congregation as well, to bring together the congregation. It's the essence of unity and humility that's missing in modern worship services. And those who struggle with bright lights and loudness due to health reasons are left completely out. I don't understand how this entertainment mode of worship services continues. But I would love to be able to be drawn to tears in worship again.

And also bro daniel my expected point in this vedio was.. todays all church worship leaders use to force the congregation to speek in tongues, it's a very much wrong thing is happening inside the churches. and by doing like this... churches making a great mistake in front of God and there spiritual life and really hurting the holly spirit as church. and some worship leaders sing a tongues wich really not true spiritual .

I love what you said. Stop following the routine but follow the holy spirit😭😭❤❤am a worship leader and this has helped me. Because I was doing it wrong the whole time trying to sing songs that I think the congregation wants instead of what the spirit wants but I thank God that he taught me to be led by him only

So glad you brought this issue up-we attend a small church and sing old, doctrinally sound hymns, but now we have begun to put in newer worship songs with a leader and the congregation isn’t led to sing in unison which is the very definition of congregation! You end up not being able to follow and get frustrated which does affect the sermon effectiveness...you were spot on with your list and wish you continued success in reaching hungry souls for Christ.

I was 5 years of chronic illness. Semi Housebound, lost my health, job, finances and my fiance left me. I couldn't even look at electronic screen for 5 minutes, or hold a 10-minute conversation.
But God did an amazing work. And if he can do this, he can do it in you also. 😇🙏

I'm coming back to the heart of worship cus it's all about you, Jesus. I used to sing that song regularly as part of the worship team. How wonderful to glorify God, and Jesus in the spirit. Daniel, I couldn't agree with you more-- unfortunately, I don't go to church now, I get more spiritual growth praising God every day at home. I would, however, like to become an active member of church again. In Bogota, there is only one chuch for me, with my Spanish. So, I always pray for Jesus to lead me in the spirit. All about relationship!

I'm truly happy to hear someone to bring this up. Today majority of people are too nice to confront... Worshiping becomes more like concert, recitals, or even personal devotion time. 2 Corin 5:13 if we are 'out of our mind,' as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. So please, it is Sunday worship, it is for God alone, please choose some proper songs and say proper things.
We Should Not Worry For Our Heavenly Father is Very Close, Even When We Think He is Far He is closer then you think. But Be Thank That God Had Given Us Another Day and We Get To Live In This Beautiful World God Has Created.

I'm not good when it comes to sing a song so when other leaders in my church sang they always make their voice high even though the notes are in low tones. We are same sometimes I chose to praise God alone sing a song even though My voice are not good like others but I sing a song For God because I know HE will Accept my praise, my sing and also I know He wasn't looking for good voice only.
As our older pastor was getting ready to retire and they were working on the new pastor to take his place, the songs and presentation began to change, more contemporary for the younger people. It really changed after the older pastor left. Harder to sing along with the newer songs. Sort of too fast to follow at times. So, sometimes now I just sing when I can follow the words, and praise Jesus in my heart when I can't. And when they have the lyrics on the screen they have no breaks where they should be to show you there's a break between lines. I like older and earlier contemporary worship songs. I understand they should be keeping up with current songs for the younger people in the congregation. I have no problem with that if I could sing along with it better. Once in awhile they sing an older one. But, not as often as I think they should.
I wanted to add my thoughts about repetition in songs. It has a hypnotic effect that can be addictive. I think secular music people know about this and use it to their benefit. I could name one song in particular but I won't because people might read this and go listen to it. It's not any better done in Christian music because it's just manipulation of the emotions and feelings to make you think you're making a connection, plus it is addictive and people want that same feeling over and over again.
