while UTVs can and do sometimes start on fire and they burn HOT i'm willing to call shenanigans on that. most people who have ATV fires first notice a loss of preformance, excess heat or see billowing smoke prior to the machines inevetiable fwoof. and unless they're horse face drunk should be able to exit the vehicle with enough time to spare. and if they where horse face drunk WHY ARE THEY DRIVING A DAMN RANGER >: | that's how people get killed.
If it did make it to consumer use it would do 25mph and the suspension would not be anything like we just see. On top of all that the differential would be Shit and they would over heat. Get ur Shit together Polaris, and I own two polarises.
This is good news. The Canadian Army has been needing a vehicle like this for ages now. Our Arctic Rangers would certainly appreciate having a fleet of these.
Yes, the military is weighing options with this vehicle as they will have to increase the number of cargo planes for air dropping suspension and driveline components for rutine maintenance in the field and combat zone. Also there is talk about having a new base built for technical training of mechanics but they have decided that all troops must be able to work on them and will include the training as an extension of the basic training. This vehicle comes equiped with a built in latrine and waste disposal gate. The most expensive part of the machine is reported to be the toilet seat.
They need to stop buying toilet seats from the contractor that supplies the US Military. 800 bucks for a toilet seat or a claw hammer is robbery. For 400 they could supply 10 dollar toilet seats to everyone in a company sized unit and there would be money left over for a beer party.
How many do I need to buy to acquire some of the Greatest adventures that are awaiting to experience? And can anyone tell me what happened to the PolCat when Arctic Cat went belly up?
WTH it’s still not out ☹️. I hope they make a Sportsman type of these. But I wonder how it would feel to work on one with the fact that I am a silver certified Polaris technician
And now... lets see if it can handle real offroad conditions and not just premade tracks that any other vehicle also can handle. For an example... lets se how it handles rocky obstacles that you can encounter at narrow powergrid lanes when you are searching for possible trees that needs to be cut down so the customers can get the power back to their homes.
Cool, but the US military already has the Ripsaw designed by home mechanics and looks a much more capable. The US military one is armored, diesel, can jump much higher and what looks to be three or four times as fast and can be remote controlled from an M113. The commercial version they have is powered by a small block chevy that revs to the sky.
Pfff...there's no comparison. It's a frame on tracks for one person with limited use case scenarios, at best. The Polaris is full on amphibious, has a bed, can hold multiple people, has heating and air, better suspension, and the list goes on.
So Polaris finally learned that the real money and company longevity security is selling to militaries. Polaris was founded and is still located in Roseau MN! Polaris IS Not a Canadian company.
It was never remotely implied that Polaris was a Canadian company. Polaris worked with the Canadian military on this project, which is what AJ (being Canadian) was pointing out.
@@dirttraxtv at 1min 15sec he said, "because of our Canadian heritage we get a pass... ," or were able to get in. I am a Bombardier fan from childhood but this machine could make me jump fence for one of those. Still love my Skidoo Seadoo and Can-am but shit that is really cool. Has all the things that Argo has wrong with it fixed. Come on production
Every time I hear or read POLARIS, In my mind it translates to... Unreliability. They’re kinda like the Suzuki 500 quad aka quadzilla, they were FAST and powerful, but you better ride it while it’s running cause it won’t be long till something breaks or vibrates loose But this thing looks cool and fun as long as it’s working. I COULD be wrong it’s about reliability, but I doubt it
HeyDude93gt I bought my 06 Sportsman 450 when I was 11 years old I think I've put about $300 into it total since. 90 of it was me frying my belt because I didn't know what low gear was for.
When i was in high school i felt the same. We rode Yamaha, and their gearboxs were crap, but i remember Polaris' always breaking after any creek of puddle crossing.
good thing about polaris is they are still old school tec and easy to fix like a grandpas combine 👊
I really hope this makes production!
for commercial use I'm not in the military so it does me no good there.
Tofutaco11 by the time it would be actually produced. Polaris will have been sued and issue will have been fixed.

Canada is way behind in technology and armament...
Just wait a year or 2 and a chinese company will be exporting their version of these to north america
And there is a dealer in Atlanta, Ga Polaris better get on the ball
Avshalom Chotawm just watched the UA-cam video of the ginger! Love it, want one!
4 years later. Still waiting
I saw one of these at the Roseau MN county fair in 2016. How cool!
This is what happens when tanks and rzrs fall in love... It's perfectly natural.. Just needs a gun mount..
Dirt ObseXXion the military one probably will after all its being shown as a military vehicle to purchase if the government wants them.
Love you comment
My RV has a toy carrying section big enough for 2 motorbikes or a side-by-side.. I'd love to use THIS during our expedition adventures lol
As a combat veteran I would hate to think my life would depend on a Polaris getting me out of danger.
Any chance we could get an update on the rampage/ and civi rigs like this?
Do they blow through bushings every 200 miles too?
Can you turn it on another atv's axis though?
That sure is a sweet jacket.
Damn you Polaris, teasing us, but not selling them to the public!!!! I'd like one!

Live that Rampage. Want one
I mean love that Rampage
I need one of these so much it hurts !
This was developed in montana...always wondered what happened to them..
How many do I need to buy to acquire some of the Greatest adventures that are awaiting to experience? And can anyone tell me what happened to the PolCat when Arctic Cat went belly up?
Impressive, I'd love to see it on the consumer market.
When will this prototype be available on the market?
Unrelated question: what, exactly, is the little, light blond tuft of hair under your lip supposed to be?
Great question. What's the deal with moustaches or sideburns for that matter? Facial hair is weird.
Sweet Baby Jesus, I'm in love! The Rampage would no doubt cost a fortune to buy but it'd be worth every penny.
Its a huge Cushman Trackster!
WTH it’s still not out ☹️. I hope they make a Sportsman type of these. But I wonder how it would feel to work on one with the fact that I am a silver certified Polaris technician
how wide is it about anyone know? looks over a foot wider then a ranger
Not a big Polaris fan I like Can Am!.
Can us civilians get one?
I'd love one for Search and Rescue work.
To search for the parts that fall off before being rescued? Lol jk...
now that's worth holding out for
Build it I will buy it!!!
Please make an tank fighting version of this.
I want want want want this machine. Please Polaris produce this for us civilians.

This would be good to have on the farm
Can't wait 'til these start hitting the auctions...
Need more information
I'll be serious, I'll test drive this Polaris Rampage if I can get a permit/license from there folks. I'll even keep this if I'm LOVE with it
I need 1 of those in my life!!!
Hold on guys don't shoot at me I gotta swap out a belt real quick.
Jared Wernicke lol...thats funny!!
I am pretty sure he said it was hydraulic driven?
I want 1 of those bad!!! To bad they're not available to the people & the usa. Hopefully they will be eventually?
Damn I'd buy one if I had the $
Ok Polaris... let's get on with it. 5 years and counting. Soon before I die of old age!
Zero excuses, Ide buy tomarrow!
"There is nothing that will stop you." It's an impressive design, but that is a bit of a stretch. Can it climb to the top of Mt Everest? :D
I want one for my Alaskan life style. Can i have one to test for yall?

ripsaw was never adopted by the military as far as i know, howe and howe made a few versions for testing, but none were necessary
There should be a full line of Polaris dirt bikes.
Где можно найти схему такой подвески?заранее спасибо.
This thing would even begin to keep up with the rip saw..
This needs to be available for fire and forestry use close enough to military nice water tank and pump slide in for the back would be sweet
Wow! I would love one of those!
I would love to have one 🇺🇸
forget the rzr this is the ultimate offroad machine!
that's AWSOME! where is my Rc version if I can't get the real deal
Yes yes ues
Head to Head between that and the ripsaw please!
The last I heard the ripsaw is not amphibious
They would use it to run back to the shop to get parts for the broken down on the trail ripsaw
Can this be modified for military use?
It was designed for military use.
@@dirttraxtv Can it be outfitted with artillery?
@@heru-deshet359 I’d imagine yes but better for a 240 or mark19 for it on top
Quel est le prix ?
Let's see canam try and match that machine wow I like it a lot
Very good
Well, at least you're not calling it a "Tank." I've seen this on a top-10 Tanks list.
I want to see it Conquer the P TRAIL IN CANADA
Ostacruiser did it. In a Sherp. ^_^
So this is built off a ranger if I'm correct?
I haven't watched the whole thing as I'm writing that
Ok yeah it is
Yup I want now!!!
Why the hell hasn't ARGO done this already?
what a beast
The military has no use for a 2-seat assault vehicle, an assault squad consists of at least 9 soldiers....
Suspension too complicated, only looks good on the test range, in real off road swampy/muddy conditions, suspension will get clogged with mud
why is he wearing his winter coat indoors?
I need one, tell them to make one for us...
Wondering if its belt driven aswell. If so extremely unreliable trying to get away from the scene and having a belt break
Made for cold Arctic conditions.
*Has OROPS.*
I need that for the Bounty hole👍📽
Polaris is the Hyundai of off road vehicles. History of subpar reliability, but hopefully turning things around and fixing that reputation.
Why is he wearing down jacket? Indoors!
Gatlin gun either 30mm or 20mm
.
i want this bad boy!!!

are you making a video with a dip in?

I have to agree with mike. I think Polaris has some pretty solid machines. Most of the problems people have with them are belts, due to rider error.

They’ve come along way
Julie Price I agree with that
knowing polaris not thinking about the little people, it will probably be $25,000 to $30,000 dollars.
I want one
Anyone else feel like this looks like a utv ripsaw?
Yes please!!!
I'll take two please.
if only polaris would sell polaris defense vehicles to the public, they would make more money
Pretty sure that government contract is worth a good chunk of cash.
If Polaris makes it I'll sell my Argo and buy one of these no doubt.
Why in the hell wouldn't they make it available. This is a shame, i'd get one.
60+ on TRACKS!!!!?????
DAAAAAYYYYUUUUUUUMMM!!!

Me too
how strange is a tracked vehicle with a steering wheel!
military tracked vehicles have had steering wheels since ww2 (see for example the german tiger tank)
