If you remove a video source from one OBS, you can add it and see+record in the other OBS. There's also a plugin called Source Record, which can record sources separately.

Actually, you can record 2 things at the same time in 2 different files. You have to open another OBS as you said, create a scene and a source, and finally just click Start Recording, the videos will be saved in 2 different files. I don't know if I'm resolving the issue.

Yup great point and I was able to do this as well with multiple instances of OBS and profiles/scenes.

I record on OBS, edit the recording and then upload to UA-cam and Instagram/TikTok. Is there a way to record on OBS to both a UA-cam (16:9) and IG (9:16) format and then have two identical recordings, just in different formats??

I just saw your video "OBS Using Multiple Profiles At The Same Time!" which appears to be the solution. Though I have an issue where if I have a 16:9 source and and 9:16 source created, whichever one I first select overrides the other, so both output the same. Maybe each need their own profile, which I will try next. Your tutorials are super helpful - much more so than any others I have watched.

Nice and yeah when using different profiles, you need to setup different output directories or different file names for each scene to help avoid overwriting when doing simultaneous recordings.
