I’ve ordered one as my first bike. Can’t wait. Seems like an ideal bike to get me going.
You've made a good choice, I think this bike is going to blow the middle weight competition out the water
Exciting times Nicholas! Do they have a date for when you can pick it up? Agreed with the Captain... this Trident is going to be the cat amongst the pigeons.
@@EddieSetGo order form shows end Feb / early March but they should have demos before to try out.
First bike, great, learn to counter steer. Not after you ride it, before , It will save your life.
@@michaeldelio1870 What he said. It has to become instinctive. Been riding since '73. Five Triumphs, currently a '12 Tiger800. All previous were bigger block triples.
Had a 1995 Triumph Sprint my first triple. I rode that beautiful beast all over Europe and brought her home when I returned. I had monokey side cases and a top box. I could easily fit enough for a week or two get away. She finally retired but I haven't. Due to age, surgeries, and replacements I will downsize on the next bike. I think this might be the right size and weight. Since this is fuel injection and 25 years newer technology I think it should be comparable and potentially fiercer. I love the look and sound. Can't wait to get on and get the feel of it.
Great to hear you're inspired by the Trident, Tommey. I hope it suits your needs. I too, cannot wait to get on and ride one of these myself. Gosh, the Sprint was a big bike - the Trident will feel light and tiny compared to it!
Sounds like it desperately needs an Arrow exhaust!!
It's certainly missing an 'edge', but still promising! Let's hope Triumph have a can to fit to it!
It does!
Yep that was my immediate thought
A whole lot better than a Harley.
I can actually here what the engine is dong.
Nice job Triumph!😎👍👍👍
Its evident its not as free revving as the street triples and daytona engines. But from the way it sounds revs lower down the rev range its evident thers a lot of acceleration potential down there. This ones likely to be a completely different flavor of the triple than seen so far. The sound... Its unmistakably a triple. And that seals the deal for most.
Thank you for resisting the psychotic temptation of adding music (I've subscribed just because of that...)! Unfortunately as a modern bike it'll never sound REALLY good because they're not permitted to give us anything other than strangled vacuum cleaver/washing-machine-on-spin noise. But still it's better than most mid-sized fours and all twins (except perhaps a Guzzi or an Allen Millyard special). I'd have one!
Hi Andrew, thank you for subscribing! Yes, I'm also put-off by music over videos where the focus should be 'the bike'. I'm planning more 'only sound' videos of bikes being ridden in the near future, so I hope they're enjoyable. I'm also liking the Trident. I can't wait to review it!
@@EddieSetGo You don't know how happy that makes me! Thank you. I'm guessing it all came from Mr Clarkson and his buggering-up of the motoring journalism market. Pity the whole world from F1 coverage to magazines believed we are all so stupid we wanted this... and the rest of us that have a small quiet voice get ignored. Thank goodness for folk like Harry Metcalfe (Harry's Garage), Jay Leno and now you to bring us what is best! All power to you sir!
One final request while you're in a good mood: can you mention in your reviews things like seat heights and seat to footrest reach please? I've noticed as a 6'2" bloke that most reviews have more concern for shorter riders, and forget that being tall is a real issue. We don't all go for half-hour joyrides; some of us need to sit on the things for hours because it's the best 1-person transport out there! My legs go dead from being folded up even on a big bike. I wouldn't even fit on a supersports bike...ouchy.
I think it's maggggnificient!. Got to love triples! Trident , simple design upright riding 80 hp, reliable engine quality parts, everything just right.
An aftermarket exhaust will improvise the roar of those 3-cylinders 😎
Improvise means changing things as they happen. Did you mean Improve? Using bigger words isn't always necessary.
@@markandmajmudar9552 How is "improve" a "bigger" word lol? Maybe English is the guy's second language, give him a break
Sounds pretty sweet stock.
I sounds like this was recorded on some sort of rig, so it may be a little misleading. The gear changes seemed a bit slow, although there was a satisfying click with each shift. I'd love to hear the same thing again with the quickshifter installed (going up and down the box).
Good observation, Simon, I noticed that tooo.. it's a bit slow on the change. Quite excited to see and try the new quickshifter!
Highly interesting sound. I look forward to my test drive. End of January.
I really want to see some test ride reviews on this. I am most likely going to buy one of these bikes for my wife and I. Currently we have a 2020 Honda Rebel 500 that she has outgrown and I am riding a 2019 Triumph Street Twin which used to be the cheapest Triumph. Only thing is what would an aftermarket exhaust look like on this? The stock one looks perfect.
I can't wait to do a test ride/review of this, David. I'm also considering this for my wife and I. She rides pillion quite a bit and so having a proper pillion seat is always something I look for. If I can borrow one from Triumph, I'll be sure to do a pillion test and give some feedback!
The question here is: what colour? 😬
One thing for sure, it's now the bike to beat in this class of affordable bikes. Nobody offers a triple in this segment ! Or for this price! You could just buy this bike and sell off all the other bikes in the garaj! And this will sell well in India. Maybe triumph should joint venture with bajaj to assemble it there! So many possibilities.
I want this bike so bad..
It does look fun!
The look is good. The ergonomic seem nice. Decent enough price range. The sound....umm . Not so impressive. But probibly easily fixed . Seems very similar to the honda cb650r ...
This sounds so sexy for me,I'm very love this sounds, hope one day can have this triumph trident.
If that's sexy you must be a Enock. LOL
Needs too be a bit more noisy , iv got scorpion on my 765
Waiting eagerly for the test ride
Me too! Can't wait to ride this...
Great video nice bike even better with a aftermarket pipe on it stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻
Oh don't worry they will make something good!
I miss the whistle and purr of the even firing order. Not a fan of the T plane. Defeats the whole point of owning triple to me.
Don’t think it is T plane
Cant decide between this, mt 07 and aprilia 660 streetfighter
Sorry, but what a let down, where was the howl of the T150 as it hit 5500 revs or my ST 1050
wonder if they will do a adventure bike with this motor to compete with the tenere 700
Interesting idea. Go up against the Yamaha Tracer 7 too!
How much is it
I actually love this bike.... pretty sure I’m getting one in Grey when they hit the dealerships ( I’m first on the list ).
That being said I will change 2 things IMMEDIATELY -
1- Stock mirrors are HIDEOUS..... Bar end mirrors will change the whole front end profile of this bike.
2- The exhaust system....... they are strangling this poor motor to death 💀 .
Anyone who has EVER HEARD a Triple knows this bike seriously needs a new pipe.
It'll sound like all modern bikes on a stock exhaust, like a sewing machine 😂
sounded like top speed 250 kmph?
With 80hp, probably not. But very close.
Well, does it sound better than twin? No. But it's not worse either. Just different. Aftermarket exhaust will be needed. I like this low rpm brummm, you can't have that with twin. Looking forward to road tests. They said mid-November but so far...nothing.
I was expected more of V6 sound...
It has a very V6-esque sound... doesn't sound anything like a 1, 2, or 4 cylinder bike.
💓💓💓
Bike looks ok but the colour schemes arent doing it for me...
Fake exhaust note ??
Only parts from the official videos - no real performance from you
Appreciate your comment, Kurt. It takes time and energy to produce videos content on latest news, which can be challenging when you’re also working a full-time job at the same time. I try my best! 🏍⚡️
@@EddieSetGo I understand. But the official videos are sound-optimated too🤪
Sounds like shit thanks to stupid EU rules. Any exhaust out for it yet?
Pretty pathetic compared to my Akrapovic’d FZ-07.
Hear that. I used to have an Arrow on my Tracer 700... that thing 'rumbled' and 'barked' at times.
It’s a cool bike but that triple engine better snap like crazy to be better then that jewel CP twin in the Yami.
Well yeah, this one doesn't have an exhaust
@@tg8150 Your bike with an exhaust system sounds better than this completely stock bike? Wow, no way I can’t believe this
Honestly. That sounds pretty awful.
Uninspiring and magnolia at best.
I make better motorbike sounds from my mouth!
well it's not exactly...inspiring, now is it?
