Come on Mark! Do not let them sucker you in to putting an automatic in that 55... That's part of the appeal of your car... It's sweet the way it is, jus get it lined out and leave it be... 🤘😎
Bob looks like he is way less stressed out and relaxed in comparison to when I first started watching. You changed his life in my opinion Bill. That's so awesome. You do it wherever you go. God Bless you dude. ❤THE REAL STEVE 💯 OG.
Eric's channel is a gem... that man shows more of his work to help the backyard guy than any other head porter around... its raw, strait up, good stuff and your not going to find anything from anyone remotely even close to the wealth of knowledge his channel has to offer
He gives a lot of knowledgeable information. He definitely helps us small guys know what parts to buy and saves us hundreds to dollars of dollars by buying the right parts the first time around.
Love the smile on Bob's face, he's loving every minute of it. I really like Eric, his testing is so valuable because he goes to great lengths to make sure he is testing apples to apples. BUT, he's no superman and he doesn't port cast iron heads.
Uncle Bob, I wish we had a machine shop like you down here in pasco county florida... A good honest. Machinist... Keep Following your Dreams , keep up the great work🎉🎉🎉
Things I've learned watching Eric and what he teaches for nothing is priceless . I could see a massive change in my porting performance gains after watching his channel. Hope to see him back.on here . God Bless.
Centrifugal force is holding the clutch. We've been through this a bunch of times. A return spring on the clutch pedal under the dash will fix it in a crunch.
Yep, also been there and done that with adding a return spring, but I added mine to the clutch fork to the frame on my ‘57 Chevy. Diaphragm clutch pressure plates were known for this. Also, if this engine is going to see some high RPMs, I would put a blow proof bell housing on it. When I was a senior in high school, I was checking out an engine in a ‘63 Chevy that the owner would sell if the money was right. The car was stupid fast due to the built engine. To make a long story short, that was the first time I saw a clutch / flywheel explode which basically cut the car in half. I hope the 4 speed stays. Changing to a turbo 400 trans will make it faster but kill the fun factor IMO.
uncle Bob was having a great time. That little smile when he loaded it up with that ATM made me laugh, i knew what was coming for sure. haha. Thanks for Posting Bill, love your Vids.
I look forward to this race between Bucko and Chumpy 😂 I really hated the weather ruined a perfectly planned event for everyone. Gina and Many many others worked so hard to put it on. But it be like that sometimes. Sometimes you Win sometimes you loose. Sometimes you don't even get to race. The 55 is gonna be so fricken Cool when Pearl's is done with Her. 😎🤙
It got rained out. I’m here in perryville ky and it rained for about 30 and then dried up. I was out working on my car and realized it was too late to go, 5:00, and it is a three hour drive for me.
Bill thanks for another great video. Lots of fun in the bantering back and forth between everyone. The dyno runs were great and informative. Thank you again for sharing your story and experience with us
To the Young folks at House of Pearl's... Phenomenal. Just Phenomenal... Never stop following your dreams , It's really easy to do... Keep up the great work
Bill, you will love this idea😂 If i win that 496 BBC. I will personally let you pull this LS outta my c10 Squarebody or Hold it on the floor till it blows😂 and drop that Big Block in it.
My 1969 Big Block Chevelle was stolen last year. I went and bought another 1969 Chevelle, only it’s got an anemic small block in it That Big Block would live happily ever after with a 4 speed behind it, under the hood of my car
Stay with the stick, the 55 is looking OMG, Eric does extremely good work and a great channel .House of Pearl is right up the road from me and does amazing work!
Hey Bill absolutely love the video I was really surprised about the big block and you know what they say there's no replacement for displacement get that big block brother
Sheeeeww…. That’s Big Block Torque there!!! I just happen to have a decent blow through carburetor setup for a BBC… but I don’t have a big block yet. I would put that 496 in a Stingray Corvette that I have. It has a round tube back half with a 9”. That would be a seriously fun drag and drive type car. 🙂
Seeing uncle bob clown around is wonderful seems like he feels a lot better and don’t have all the stress doing what he is doing now it’s wonderful and I hope the 4sp or they swop it to a 5sp in the 55 the heck with the auto for it
Okay this is just fkn badass , been watching both your channels for years now and now it shows just how badass Eric is . Seeing yall team up was awesome for sure !
This is the most I've seen Eric in a long time. Usually, I just hear his voiceovers. Lol.. to answer your question as to what I would put the big block in... my 5th gen Camaro would love to have it! I wouldn't mind either, but yeah.
No no, gotta keep his 55 stick in my opinion. Kinda most of its personality if you ask me. The 496 is sick though bill, I think I’ll throw it in my cobalt. Nothing too outlandish. Hahaha much love to you and the family, love the content as always buddy. Hoping you’ll drop a video whatever day my son is born here in the next few days so I enjoy two blessings in one day. Keep it up ❤️❤️❤️
That 496 would be pretty sweet nestled in this plain Jane 1970 Chevelle Malibu I have my eye on. Putting that power down to the ground is another thing though!
You surprised me this morning I watch all of Eric's videos also nicks videos he builds a lot of simple engine combos that make decent power for pretty much low cost . The 55 is really looking good.cant Waite to see your video from the Kent rose race. I'm sure that's going to be a good one.
Nice build. I’m building a 496 with a Crower custom ground hydraulic roller, 781 heads with big valves , port and chamber work. I hope mine makes similar power with a little more compression on E85.
I saw you had the old nova parked outside maybe it’s time for a refresh bring back the Nova and put a big block in it and make it badass again that would be fricken cool ❤
There is an apply spring under the dash I bet for an old Borg & beck style pressure plate that has to be removed when using a diaphragm style like a center force.
I think Mark should use that Turbo 400 and maybe switch to a single ATM carburetor. With the power that 427 can make he might need both hands on the wheel and forget all that shifting.
I just started my new built and got it to 3k rpm and knock knock there’s a lound knocking noise . Yay . Wish I had a dyno I could have run it in on and seen the issue before installing it
Mr.William senior , I'm so glad you Decided to start Your own channel, I knew you could do it... May the lord continue to bless all of your journeys, in Jesus name , Amen ...
Nothing puts a smile on my face faster than hearing Uncle Bob yell whooo! at then end of the big HP run. Makes me smile instantly
Uncle Bob looks like he is having so much more fun now, good job Bill
Seeing Uncle Bob's reaction running those engines on the Dyno is priceless. He's having alot of fun !!!! Great video as always Mr Bill.
Come on Mark! Do not let them sucker you in to putting an automatic in that 55... That's part of the appeal of your car... It's sweet the way it is, jus get it lined out and leave it be... 🤘😎
It’ll never win a drag race with that clutch and especially not with that truck shifter.
@@danmyers9372 He’s not taking it to drag ,and drives, it’s old school cool!!!!!!
Take it out
@@danmyers9372Who cares. They are both easy problems to resolve.
Why not swap to bucket seats and swap the shifter to a short throw
Bob looks like he is way less stressed out and relaxed in comparison to when I first started watching. You changed his life in my opinion Bill. That's so awesome. You do it wherever you go. God Bless you dude. ❤THE REAL STEVE 💯 OG.

Awesome seeing Eric Weingartner in your channel! I've learned an incredible amount of information from his videos.
Thank you Mr bill. THE BEST GARAGE / FAMILY / CHANNEL ON UA-cam!!!
Thanks for having Eric. He's been helping people here in the 918 for years 👍
I really hope that 55 stays a 4spd.
Love the smile on Bob's face, he's loving every minute of it. I really like Eric, his testing is so valuable because he goes to great lengths to make sure he is testing apples to apples. BUT, he's no superman and he doesn't port cast iron heads.
House of pearls paint shop is top notch, #1 paint " and body work, best of current
Uncle Bob,
I wish we had a machine shop like you down here in pasco county florida... A good honest.
Machinist... Keep Following your
Dreams , keep up the great work🎉🎉🎉
Been 4 days since my total knee replacement and this video makes me feel so much better. Nothing like car talk from The Ole Man!!!! Appreciate you.
My dad may he rest in peace .in the 70s had a beautiful 55 Chevy
Mine did too , so many memories come to mind after watching them talk about marks 55
So much better than anything on TV per usual. Thank you for the awesome wholesome entertainment man.. Per usual!
I’ve watched Eric for years. Very knowledgeable and informative gentleman
House of pearls, these people are legit. What amazing work they do. RESPECT.
Glad to see you and Eric visiting.
Things I've learned watching Eric and what he teaches for nothing is priceless . I could see a massive change in my porting performance gains after watching his channel. Hope to see him back.on here . God Bless.
The collaborations continue! Eric is a straight shooter when it comes to testing, no BS.
Keep it coming.
I love Eric’s channel. He always says it like it is. Seems like a real straight shooter. I’ve been subscribed a long time.
Centrifugal force is holding the clutch. We've been through this a bunch of times. A return spring on the clutch pedal under the dash will fix it in a crunch.
Been there, done that and a return spring has been a lifesaver a few times

Absolutely..... put a spring on the pedal and be done with it.🇳🇴
Why not a automatic transmission you shift it out manually to if you want to or just put it in drive and cruise it.
uncle Bob was having a great time. That little smile when he loaded it up with that ATM made me laugh, i knew what was coming for sure. haha. Thanks for Posting Bill, love your Vids.

I like Eric’s channel. He’s a straight shooter and I always learn something.
A video this morning is helping me cope with having to go into work when I'm supposed to be off today. Thanks bill for keeping me half way sane
Bill. Your mother is looking down and is amazed what the old girl is turning into. She would be proud. Those kids are knocking the 55 out of the park.
I never knew Eric could smile! Lol.. great, surprising collaboration! Congrats Eric! He is a hidden gem
YOU HAVE THE BEST channel you allways have great content thanks
Eric has some killer info porting . Been watching for 2-3 years now . I want a 496
Man I love waking up to one of your videos Bill!
To the Young folks at House of Pearl's... Phenomenal.
Just Phenomenal... Never stop following your dreams , It's really easy to do... Keep up the great work
Bill, you will love this idea😂

I like Eric’s channel that guy is thorough on his tests
Another great video Bill.. I could watch your videos everyday and never get tired of them..
I watch Eric W. all the time. The tests he does are awesome.
I don't know what it is about your videos but before you're finished I'm already waiting for the next one good job
Fresh made popcorn and can't sleep? perfect time to see an Old Man video pop up. 😎🍻
Good to see Eric hitting the dyno with you guys, very impressive 496, makes me want to pull the 454 out of my 76 C10 for a stroker.
Glad 😊 I stayed awake! to catch the old man's garage ✨ always good new stuff to see 💥
My 1969 Big Block Chevelle was stolen last year. I went and bought another 1969 Chevelle, only it’s got an anemic small block in it

Old man is on fire 🔥 with the content !!! Keep them coming!!!
Bob always cracks me up when he gets behind that dyno, his little kid comes out in him!
"What are you doing, watching UA-cam on your computer at work?!" Bill, what do you think WE'RE doing right now? lmao
Nothing like a big block chevy that built in the right way.
Old man always has the best videos!! He made my holiday weekend with this!!!

Love to see all 3 55s getting down! Keep up the great work guys.
I love the progress on the 55. It looks great.
