Hallo aus England ! Many thanks for your superb videos. I think I may have an explanation for the odd corrosion on the movement. You mentioned that you thought that it originally had a gold case - this is the give-away I think. I have seen similar movement damage when someone had used acid to test that a case was solid gold. They used too much acid which got onto the movement and corroded it. Like you said in an earlier post, there are crazy people everywhere ! Kind regards, Andy
Hello sir Iove watching your work your vids are a pleasure to watch,A question to you,as I now own a vibrating hair spring tool I would like to use it,But need a recomandation on a book that would explain the right use on this machine,And also how to calibrate this tool, any help would be great please
Excelent Video's, very educational without speaking a word!! Does anyone know where I my purchase hairspring of this size (21 1/4) from, upto now have only been able to find them for wristwatches !!!
I like the detail where the hairspring attaches to the bridge with a screw. I can't understand why other watchmakers didn't do that, it allows cleaning and oiling the balance jewels easier.
I wish I lived in your town, and that you needed an apprentice !!

I would imagine not many watchmakers are as intimately familiar with Glashuette watches as he is...
For more videos I may recommend my UA-cam channel,

Would you consider changing the settings of your videos to allow mobile device (iPad) playback? It would be wonderful if you could!
