    Hallo aus England !
    Many thanks for your superb videos.
    I think I may have an explanation for the odd corrosion on the movement.
    You mentioned that you thought that it originally had a gold case - this is the give-away I think.
    I have seen similar movement damage when someone had used acid to test that a case was solid gold.
    They used too much acid which got onto the movement and corroded it.
    Like you said in an earlier post, there are crazy people everywhere !

    Hello sir Iove watching your work your vids are a pleasure to watch,A question to you,as I now own a vibrating hair spring tool I would like to use it,But need a recomandation on a book that would explain the right use on this machine,And also how to calibrate this tool,any help would be great please

    Excelent Video's, very educational without speaking a word!!
    Does anyone know where I my purchase hairspring of this size (21 1/4) from, upto now have only been able to find them for wristwatches !!!

    I like the detail where the hairspring attaches to the bridge with a screw. I can't understand why other watchmakers didn't do that, it allows cleaning and oiling the balance jewels easier.
