O'Boyle:- "If you can wait a year I'll get you 13" Doug:- "I'm in 12 now!!"..😂😂😂... Man, this show was gold and so underrated, the writing was just phenomenal!!
this is supposed to be a comedy, but this type of situation hits all too real for a WHOLE LOT OF US. and just like shown here, all management has to do most of the time is just show their employees some respect with very simple solutions.
Lesson of the business world. Your manager/boss doesn't care until what you do starts affecting the company. Which is negatively reflected back to you.
Companies will cut their nose off to spite their face.I was a foreman for a company for many years.I basically ran the business for the owner and when I asked for a raise he laughed.I threatened to leave and he still laughed.I found a great civil service job and one year later my old company went out of business. It's been 6 years and now I'm the one that's still laughing 😉😂😂😂
You NEVER EVER do that in a job....not unless FedEx has offered you a job and you have it IN WRITING with a legit START DATE then you NEVER EVER do this.
You can do it verbally, as long as you haven't actually quit on paper which Doug hadn't at this point. (but then he does before he asks FedEx to hire him. LOL.)
If it is mainly women receiving parcels on route 1, then it is only logical that you send the most beautiful driver there in order to achieve as much customer loyalty as possible. Instead of complaining, Doug should eat less and start exercising consistently.
One of my fellow field techs just couldn't deal with the oncall work anymore, damn near working night and day (happens once every 4 weeks for us all). It used to end at 10pm but now they want 24hrs and none of us are happy. This guy is probably in the top 3 best techs. He told the boss about it and gave his 2 week notice and now he's gone. Never think you're to good that a company will not let you go.
He quit, wanted to go to FedEx where it turned out they didn't have a job for him. So he became a bike courier for another company and eventually went back to IPS but still had the same zone 12.
To be honest the super was quite tolerant. A nonvital employee threatens to quit and instead of saying 'Fine quit' he actually tried to negociate. Doug is really overrating himself. Sure a good driver is fine and all but I'm willing to bet you can find plenty of good drivers in a metro area of 20 million.
@@bunnicula38 I think if I worked eight years at a company and someone who has been there less than a week already had a better job I would leave. There should be respect for seniority.

So if it's chronological with zone 1 being the best, and zone 13 being the worst, how come Doug NEVER got zone 1 in 8 years, and Deacon got zone 1 before, even the new guy gets it. Doug has to be a very below average driver. Which does not seem to be the case throughout the show, he's just a mediocre all around.

Sam McMurray, the actor who plays Doug's boss also appeared on Friends as Chandler's boss named Doug lol

That’s perfectly logical.
Or there’s a mistake they need to pin on someone
Or when you start talking the truth behind the company scams and favoritism
It's never personal
I've been watching King of queens for over 20 years. And I'm still hoping to stumble upon a episode I never seen yet 😂
It's one of the funnier episodes.
They have episodes with deleted scenes. Some of them feel like new episodes.

A new guy came in and he got the Jedi Temple district. We were really mad.
did he deliver order #66?

The part where his eyes got weary and his back got tight was wild.

nothing. he enjoyed getting räpid by his bike.

He holds the record there for most days without complaints in history ... should be a pretty big deal in a city like New York.
