There are people that say that the pomp and ceremony of it all is outdated. I'm not one of them. I love it all. The uniforms, the whole ceremony of it, I enjoy it. Still so sad to lose our queen, but happy for her that she is with her beloved. Thanks for sharing.xx
I couldn't get to see this so thank you so much. My dad was born I 1952 so he is 70 years old now. He's old enough to have seen the full life time of her royal highness.
The word "incredible" is so overused these days, but this truly was incredible. The whole world was watching this historic event, and Sinead, you were right there---part of the event. We all owe you a debt of gratitude.
Amazing History, I watched your video awhile back of St James palace and talked about what happens there. To see it now actually happening is so thrilling. A very sad time , I'm American but I had so much respect for the Queen. Rest in peace Elizabeth.
Amazing job, Sinead! So excited for you to get in to see that historical occasion. I watched it somewhat live, but to hear the crowd responses was priceless. None of that was on SKY. It was as if no one responded "God save the King!" Thank you for bringing us these in person/regular person on the street vantages. You are doing a great job!
@@Sineadlondontourguide Well, the TV coverage was centered on that dear old Garter King of Arms perhaps a little too much. "Do the trumpets!" LOL! Poor thing had one job.
Congratulations, Sinead, on being one of the thousand or so lucky people to witness this momentous occasion right before your very eyes! I am from "across the pond" and have been following your fabulous videos for a few years now. So exciting for you Sinead!!! I love all the emotional that you show and your genuine enthusiasm. So much fun to watch and see. Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
As this yankee has been watching these sad and momentous events unfold, I've been thinking a lot about what 'royal' and 'monarchy' means in these modern times. The world is filled with governments packed with politicians. They change year to year. Governments ebb and flow. Monarchies are that rare breed that are constant. And to me, that's what's needed in these tumultuous times. We, not only here in the states, but all over the world, need a structure that is anchored. That's the monarchy. THEY are history. THEY are a constant. THEY are our North Star. They offer an anchor that most of us don't know we need. Elizabeth has passed; Charles is her successor. And after him, William. In a way, we have a glimpse into the future. God bless the Queen, and God save the King.
You make such an important point. It's all about stability and continuity. It's a higher level of family, and family is everything. It's also about identity, who we are as a people.
I saw her, too! Immediately recognized her and felt like it was a friend I just saw on TV. This connection we have, this community she has created, is beautiful. Thank you, Sinead!
Wonderful job, thank you for capturing these historic moments for those of us who can't see it in person. How exciting it must be to see history being made !
