This is one of the best episodes. I love overcast rainy weather like this. It's relaxing to the extent that I can have a vacation at home just watching these trucking movies.
Short or long I love em all, thank you for taking the time to share your travels, I have been watching faithfully at the start of my 10 hr break, I know I am commenting on really old videos but they are new to me. I stay at the flying J/Pilot in Tyler a lot. If your ever get into Henderson TX, they have a great Little truck stop called , “Gateways “, it’s a newer truck stop with all the amenities and stores with in walking distance. CVS across the street and a “Denny’s” right on site...if you dig “Denny’s” that is. Thanks again Jack and safe travels !!
Very nice trip Professor! You always do a great job of bringing back memories as if I were there again. Hurricane MIlls was my first night out on my first solo run. Exciting time. And, being from Texas, I would love to welcome you to live here.LOL! Safe travels sir and I look forward to our next adventure. Your the best at what you do. My respects!
That's outrageous! I work in a warehouse driving a forklift, pulling orders, loading and unloading trucks. Even if you do it by hand it shouldn't take 6 hours! We always treated the drivers with the utmost respect and considered their needs. We always did our best to get them in and out as fast as possible. Sounds like a company that's a little back door retentive.
hay jack, I also am wondering why an outfit as big as knight don't track their trailers so you always know where there at, even melton did that, big time saver, great vid I'm retired now and still like revisiting the places you go to though your camera. happy trails bigvee193
I love these longer vids of your trips. I've only visited the US once, my ex fiance was a trucker with Schneider in Indiana so I got to see quite a bit of you beautiful country when I was there. It also got me hooked on these kind of videos :D
another great video Jack. I made a trip to Tyler last week to visit my son, you are right about the traffic. Also visited the Canton flee Market at Canton TX.
I sure would There are a few folks where I live that would love to have your music. Your vids are probably the best on you-tube. Trucker Josh is very good but you put more into your videos, after all, you guys are truckers.
Been watching for a few days now, always interested to see where you are. Much to my surprise you started off in Bowling Green, KY! The next time you're in BG and have a few days off, I recommend visiting the Corvette Museum (if such a thing interests you, of course). It's reasonably cheap and self-guided. Drive safe and keep making these awesome videos!
Morning indiana jack thanks for taking us along sitting here at arbys bluffton having coffee best in this city. Beautiful day. watching some of your older videos u dont answer back? when do u have home time?
When you said on leaving Hurricane Mills TN "thanks for the hospitality Loretta" was it because you were close to The Loretta Lynn Ranch? Thanks for taking us along on your adventures Mr Jack.
Hey Jack, have you ever thought about produceing a dvd of the music that is played on you're videos? I think it is good listening but seldom get to hear the whole song. I also think that you produce some of the best trucker vid's out there. It's always " family viewing.
I have thought of it Vic... BUT music and films is very hard to work with. Most artists want get paid for their work, rightfully so. But there it not enough money in it to pay. Most of the music in my films is free music that UA-cam provides us to use. It's still not out of the question and something I may pursue. Would you buy one?
I really love your channel I know your busy. I'm also a truck driver but I have one question why does it take you so long to post videos lol anyways love the video and can't wait to see the next have a safe travel
hey jack, when u stopped in hurricane mills tn at the pilot u was close to my home. i live in the town of waverly north of the pilot up state route 13 about 10 mins right on the us70 and 13 connector
I don't understand how it takes so long to load/unload trailers. Can anyone explain? Is the whole load just not ready to go I work in aviation, loading 28k lbs piece by piece by hand is something two average people can do in under 2 hours, in a cramped space.
Hello Indianajacktrucker, You're a real hero, like John Wayne, Roy Rogers, Bert Reynolds . etc. people who I grew up with . and idolized in life. I am going to ask you some questions , and I really hope you can answer them , now I know I could just google them and be done with it. but I wanted to hear you explain the differences and just what the heck they are . OK. If any body would know , YOU would. because you have quite possibly have seen them. Here goes, 1. what is a Gulch ? some times a dry Gulch?, 2. high Chaparral? some times a low Chaparral?lol, 3 High planes? 4 Barainka ? 5. plateau ? Bute? and finally low/High Desert ? as you might of guessed these are things found in the West mostly and are referred to all the time out there but not so much here on the East Coast of America. I love how you explain things , and how you just let the big stuff roll off of your shoulders and shrug off the little stuff in life. You no doubt love what you do and are perfect to be the one to answer my questions. Happy trails and safe Trucking. Thank You, Tom
Thanks for the little bit of information on "empty" trailers; I did ask on another video but no one answered me yet. How does that work? Who actually owns those trailers? Surely it must be a nightmare for registration, insurance and maintenance? Is there any way to track where the trailers are at any one time, say GPS? Someone could acquire a trailer quite easily from the little bit I see on this channel, no?
Harley04 ; The trailers actually belong to the big companies everyone drives-for. I know the truck drivers have to do a walk-around safety inspection of every trailer they pull regardless of who the company You pull for, or who actually owns the trailer(s), it’s just that the truck driver is responsible for the trailer regardless of who actually owns-it which isn’t usually the trucker themselves, although some owner/operators do own the trailer as well.
Thanks for reply. Yes, I figured they were owned by the company, and they must have an idea where they are by the numbers which I assume are reported by drivers when they take them from A to B. I still think the insurance, registration, tires and maintenance must be a nightmare for those companies; surely they must put them into a workshop once a year or so? And looks like most drivers wouldn't be pleased to be the one to do that extra mile! Here in Australia there is a huge blitz on trucks due the number of car drivers killed; the defects found are mind boggling to say the least.
I agree with you concerning the “Choice Hotels” comments. I travel with one or sometimes two dogs and have NEVER been turned away when I make my reservation in advance. I have been turned away because I walked in without a reservation and they had no “pet friendly” rooms available but that’s on me for not planning ahead. My preferred hotel is the Comfort Inn & Suites hotels though if I have the option.
Another great video Jack. Not all trailers are not "well behaved" as you note. Some dogleg or dogtrack and if they are the second of a pair or more then they can dance around like a maniac. That clown in the red pickup who passed you on the right in the heavy rain (or at least big puddles) will eventually discover the hard way about hydroplaning. I find it hard to believe how many drivers have no apparent idea who is near them or what is coming up. I have driven trucks and know one has to look constantly to be aware of what is happening. Way to many clueless people on the road, daydreaming, texting, yakking with their friends, listening to stereos turned up way to loud, etc.
Tyler, Tx. During the Civil War the Confederate Army ran a prisoner of war prison there. My great-grandffather spent sevaral months there after being captured in the April 1864 battle of Sabine X-Roads, Louisiana. Heard he didn'much like the place. Accomodations, poor.
Hi Jack. Want you to know I really enjoy your travels especially now since I'm 75 and retired. I don't travel anymore but I get to see places I never would have gone to through your videos. Your historical comments and the narration of your daily travels is especially nice since your doing what I always wanted to do but never did. In any case stay safe and good traveling to you and many thanks for your videos. Pete (my nick name) Bonita Springs, Fl.

picking up underwear, that job as gone down the pants! I was once, before I started cube truck driving, doing parcel work, (door to door fedex type stuff) and one day my run was mainly grey plastic bags, and to elderly folk. Then it dawned on me what I was hauling, yes 80 drops to old age folk deliveing incontinent pads. That day I was on the Pantyliner Express!
Oh I get it. Schneider has been sitting under idle air so long they will need to mow the grass under the truck. He’s been sitting there long enough to miss the last mowing.
I could have warned ya about Fruit of the Loom taking so long to load, nothing is on skids, its all hand loaded. Never liked going there myself. People who do stupid stuff like the guy who cut you off just makes me want to nude the corner of their bumper and send them flying (in my mind of course, i would never really do such a horrendous thing to someone). Again another great video, thanks for sharing Jack. Be safe out there.
Idle Air has a movie selection like red box, it has internet, telephone and air heat a/c and cost 10$ a night or you can just leave your truck running a pay 50$.
Just plain reefers aren't so bad...it's the small portable home made ones that are noisy and blow smoke in your window. Primes are usually more quiet because they are newer.

Haha... I frequent that truck stop there in Linden texas. You pulled through backwards :P. Everyone does it though lol.
Great vlog Jack from fsb72, Australia....
The oncoming 4wheeler could have been tipsy.?
When you said on leaving Hurricane Mills TN "thanks for the hospitality Loretta" was it because you were close to The Loretta Lynn Ranch?
Thanks for taking us along on your adventures Mr Jack.
Yes...her ranch is just up the street.
Great video, albeit a "brief" one...ahem.
There's a kind of boring sameness about all your videos. Man drives truck isn't such a big deal anymore. Give i9t some thought.
Will Best bbbbbnbnb🧜♂️🙋♀️🛑🛑🇼🇸🇸🇧

Well i love your vids be safe out there
Great video Jack. Keep on trucking and stay safe by from a fan in Alabama
Thanks for posting, sir! Another fine video.
Hmm, what was the 'nasty' guy in Tyler, TX upset about? Didn't want the delivery? Thx for the vid Jack!

One part of the video you were talking about your brother, that music you played what was it? What's the title?
I don't understand how it takes so long to load/unload trailers. Can anyone explain? Is the whole load just not ready to go

What do you say is the best GPS what do you use? I'm a rookie with 4mo. In
@2:25 yes for the Choice Hotels comment. I've never had them turn me away. Decent value for the money.
Another great video Jack, see many of your video but just subcrive now ;o)))
Hope to see more often of your video.
From Montreal Québec Canada.

Tyler, TX is known for its, Earl Cambell ( 1 of our favorite running backs ever) & my cousin lives there. It is a medium town in Texas.
Regenia Compton Earl Campbell was one of the best players ever. He made me love to watch Houston and I’m a Cowboy Fan.
anyone else notice that white van under the tree in that field behind the hotel when jack was going through the hotel parking lot lol?
Yea I saw itXD
yes, I did!
I don't think I've ever herd you say how you got your handle.
willibill c think it came from indiana jones! and he is jack.
Who is responsible for doing maintenance on the trailers? If a retread blows apart, who pays?
when I was a cab driver , I never got lost , temporarily confused maybe , but never lost , ha ha ha ha

How do you know Schneider won't have an APU or idle through the night?
R Smith yeah right if they can only find and put one next him lol and going pull this oh yeah
SRV. 123 pm

Sometimes i wonder whether or not is the chair doing all the squeking or Old red Jack's bones. LOL 🤔👍🇺🇸
Amem.

somebody knows the song on 30.40 ?
man fix your chair man. whats the strangest, funniest thing you ever shipped?
what are you using to record your videos
+Derrick Gilbert If you have a look through the playlists on his channel there are some video's that show the equipment he uses.
+Scott H ok thanks
When the shipper orders the freight of their goods why don't they have loads reddy to go?? 6 hours to load 1 trailer should max takes 30min..

Do you get paid for bobtailing around looking for an empty?
On rare occasion James but usually not.
A load of 'unmentionables' sounds more like laundry than trailer-truckin'.
Hi Jack; nice video of higways of USA. Regards and good route..........
picking up underwear, that job as gone down the pants!

I will watch it wen I get home jack!!
You ever eat at the little cabin looking reasturant across the street ? Great food
Hey Jack, your seat's squeaking.
Got a clean shonnie?. Got a fresh shonnie?. Time for a new freshly clean shonnie Old red Jack. LOL 🤗👍🇺🇸
Yur the best, Jack!!
that chair still squeaks like hell jack.
Indiana Jack is the underwear king lol. One pair at a time .🙈🙈
Idle Air has a movie selection like red box, it has internet, telephone and air heat a/c and cost 10$ a night or you can just leave your truck running a pay 50$.
Thanks Jack for that great vlog, always enjoying it.
windsor,ontario
i remember one of the first videos i saw of you, was a vid, in which you were hauling toilet paper lol
I too really do like choice hotels , I've been a loyal customer and card member for the past 10 years
Oil a chair? I don't even know how you shoot and transfer and organize video from all those cameras and still make on-time runs. Squeak on, chair.
Next time in Tyler tx try Stanley's bbq
Good video☆
Why can't you phone to look for an empty trailer instead of driving all over hoping to find one somewhere? Seems like a big waste of fuel & time.
that would make a good riddle "Why would Indiana Jack cross the highway?'
great film underwear trucker.
DROVE THAT ROUTE MANY TIMES...ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT TEAM DRIVING AS I WAS THE ONE THAT DROVE AT THAT TIME OF DAY MOSTLY....
This is so cool its like sitting shot gun through your adventures across the land! :)
Thanks jack !!!
In my Country 100% of Long haul trucks have built in aux heater like from Webasto... US trucks don´t have that ?
Yes...I have one.
what is wrong with them people, how can it take 6h to load a trailer?
1 underwear at a time.
Does every pair get a "burn-in" test on the way out?
very entertaining!
trailer hunting you gotta love it.
Like all your videos...I'll be going to Prime Inc. soon, to drive as a "Lawnmower man," hope to pull up next to you at a truck stop.:)!!
Just plain reefers aren't so bad...it's the small portable home made ones that are noisy and blow smoke in your window. Primes are usually more quiet because they are newer.
I believe that guy really did have my perfect job
good morning from Romania Indianajack i think some people do not cherish life.care of yorself.
