Best Nordhavn video not just a video showing all the comforts but more of an engineers video.
Seems like the Skipper runs a tight ship and keeps his vessel in tip-top shape.
I vote this couple as the coolest Nordhavn couple ever. Thank you so very much! I do wish I could own one.
Nice. Happy owners. Great to see an owner know so much about all the systems.
great vid - nice to see owners giving the more practical insights
Love this guys knowledge of his ships systems and the level of redundancy built in the ship systems. I'd feel pretty comfortable sailing with these two.
Saw a Nordhavn video randomly appear in feed and haven't stop watching videos about them.
What a beautiful yacht. Also helps to be one of the most brilliant engineers in the history of mankind
Agreed
I enjoyed following you all through the South Pacific. Great explanatory video on how a Nordhavn works, especially the unique features that Dirona has. Thanks for sharing and the best to the both of you.
These people are the coolest ever. So smart and created such practical solutions.
I am helms detail person and this 52 helm is a CAPTAINS DREAM:) The ability to see everything at a glance to include the outside, bak system display in the sleeping area, great helms balance with systems on the ground level, mid is the maps, radar and top ceiling layout, great layout. I never miss a boat /yacht show and this helm compares to yachts that cost five million dollars! Im not sure what this one cost, but in my opinion new its about two million.
Love your forethought on the extras! Great job and boat. Thank you for the tour.
excellent set up, you guys really thought it through, very practical, a place for every thing, and every thing in its place!!!!!!
Very kool! More like these, please! Real interaction with actual owners who really seem to love their boats...👍🤙
Great video. A pleasure to listen to someone who knows what he/she is talking about. It’s always better to hear from someone who actually owns a trawler, rather than a well-intentioned UA-camr who borrows one for a few hours.
Been watching your videos immensely impressed
Outstanding video and brilliant ideas for design improvements. Love what you have done with the distributive control system design!
This was more than just an advert for a motoryacht, so well done to you guys!
Wow! So well explained! These are the kind of things that help dreamers become owners! Amazing video you two! Thanks for not showing us another table!
Very well done video. Practical knowledge and insight. Thank you.
Great to get tips and experience from a technically savvy seaman/owner. Great galley tour.
Great video, more like this please..
You guys really have it figured out.
Haven't they just. Brilliant
Very well done tour, concise and to the point of the features you like about the boat.
If you are interested in learning and watching their travels the MV Dirona website has proved to be absolutely amazing to me. I have it bookmarked and am currently reading through their entire odyssey. These two are a well oiled machine and the improvements they made to their boat will be the first thing on my mind when I travel down to Dana Point to discuss my boat purchase.
Hope your trip up through Norway and higher up went well, been trying to keep up with everywhere you have been to. So many amazing places to go and see, and your N52 has done it all.
Awesome video!!! You two are living a wonderful life. I really enjoy your blog as well.
Do these guys have a separate channel?
What is it?
Wayne Parke they do!! ua-cam.com/video/dM4NLuNmZOQ/v-deo.html
Thanks for sharing this video with us all. What a great couple. 😇
Great vid. I like how you explained the details.
Good information and a lovely boat.
I love your educational advice, thank you!
More videos like this. great job.
Brilliant video thanks so much.

now that's a hell of a boat
Well done, enjoyed your video, very informative.
I would think Nordhavn would implement your electrical changes as the inverters would supply consistent power and the chargers would deal with the varying voltage issues at marina's. Very smart change.
Thanks for your videos!
Really good video!! Well done !
Oh shit! It's James Hamilton!
Excellent Video!
Great video, very informative.
I would enjoying seeing more videos from these guys.
I just met you, I love your home so I subscribed and gave you a thumbs up. Sail safe.
It was very cool to meet you in person guys on the Miami Yacht Show
This couple has life figured out!!! True experts at the cruising life. He is way too smart for me. I’d have to bring him along with me if I’m ever able to buy a Nordhavn !!!!!!
Love all those changes but the decision to pump fuel. I would have stuck with the gravity fed. I assume you have a pump and backup for each tank? Great to see an owner know so much about all the systems.
I like those boats, I'd like to see a video or her in some heavy seas!
Great stuff
Most interesting and enjoyable, Thankyou 😎🇳🇿
So if the transfer pump fails do you have back up transfer pump, or do you switch to gravity feed?
Living your best life. Congrats.
These two are smart and self-sufficent. They made some great changes to an already great boat. I would feel very safe boating with them.
I'm impressed with his knowledge of his boat
another good one. thanks
Your boat and your knowledge thereof are impressive:)
Brilliant video. It is nice to get a run down on the 'tech' side of other boaters set ups. Clear and precise. Absolutely love the crane - what a piece of kit. The reach out is superb. Can't understand all the 'down votes' . Hey ho. Keep it up.
beautifull boat
Great video!
Beautiful ship.
Very good video series. Very good narration. I appreciate your clear description of key features and your modifications. Your voyages are admirable. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I’m sure many boat owners exist out there that do not understand the technical side of things like this couple obviously does putting themselves and others in great danger. I really enjoyed the walk through on the technologies this Boat has built in. Incredible. Such a strong looking Boat as well.
Very nicely done
I spent a few years on that symbol growing up. Small world!
Best technical video ever.
great video how many miles?
I would love to know her tip for preserving lettuce.
She says it's the Subzero design! They are top shelf equipment for top shelf houses, so no surprise really
Nice boat and cool tech! I wonder, curious actually, do you have any mechanical devices like a sextant or compass in case something goes wrong?
Awesome boat! The main engine is that a upgrade and if so what is top speed and cruise speed, mpg at cruise? Thanks
Most likely one of the best, most involved built Nordy yet.
GREAT video...Very informative...If you ever need a deck hand PLEASE let me know...Ive worked on the water most my life here on Kent Island Md. Crabbing, fishing, clamming , ect. but i dont have the experience of blue water sailing and im PRAYING to buy me a sailboat soon and travel the world ...Im going to do it regardless. Saltwater flows through my veins and on the water is where i belong. I just feel i NEED this experience before i go !!! Your a smart man and though im not a teacher im a damm good learner ...God bless and fair winds !!!
In my business we use a remote management system to monitor servers and networks that will not only alert us of a problem but a potential problem so then the administrator can get ahead of something and keep it from becoming an issue or dismiss it as being benign... it all depends on how it has been configured. Would you say that what you're using to manage the boats systems is very similar?
Love your Yacht! A question regarding pod drive! Can it be controlled by Auto pilot or manual? Can you switch back and forth for Docking in windage? A great back up!
how long does it take to learn the power system, all the switches etc! great video and safe travels :-)
James - great video and thanks for the effort to post them. Q - have you considered a multi-relational database database for your data mining? Assuming the existing flat database is deep enough to warrant the effort. Thanks again!
Great boat, great video. How do you afford all of this?
You know when they say "Six weeks out of Cape Town" and later on "Helped out a Nordhavn 62 in Brisbane".....that they were doing exactly what this Nordhavn is capable of :)
Since you take long trips have you considered solar or wind generator for emergency power in the event of catastrophic failure?
Greetings from Vancouver Island. I live on Discovery Passage and I love seeing Nordhavns go by. My favourite so far has been the Tofield's 52, without the flybridge. Do you have problems docking your 52 because you obviously have more windage? Also, does the John Deere, you have, perform better than the Luggers, economy wise?
WELL DONE thank you al.
Casal, mantém a aparência épica, acho incrível.
Abraços
hair almost as awesome as the yacht
1:45 I wonder if we can implement machine learning algorithms on the relational database you saved and try to predict future problems before it occurs.
Awesome, video! Is there no sink in the day head? 6:45
Beautiful boat, beautiful life...what size boat rather yacht do you suggest for crossing or going from Florida to California?
Florida to California...Cadillac is the best land yacht.
LOL! I actually hate Cadillac
What sort of range does it get with 10% safety?
Dang! That’s a cool 🚣
Where can I get more
While running at about 80 to 85 % throttle , how many Imp Gal does she consume in an hour ?
how much is this boat second hand?
In the sense where you gotta rely on something, its great with redundancy, fuel managed in a safe way and electricity hmm where was the solar & wind power? Anyhow lovely presentation
Something you may consider. The majority of old salts hardly ever do is take stock of what you have and eliminate those things you never use. In some cases get rid of the old and replace with new. Everything evolves including tools. For$70 bucks I recently saw a set of combination open ended and closed ratchet set. That one tool eliminates two other tools. On a boat weight is money you know that.
Some yacht features more than whole tour. Thanks.
Wow that's nice
Groovy bladder pump system. Please disregard my prior question on another video of how that is done. 😉
Are these sold in the UK?
what is the cost to travel in a Nordhavn.
These owners KNOW what they need. Awesome.
What are the crusing ranges of boats like this one ?
He routinely goes from Seattle to Hawaii. Is that far enough?
wow really nice sett up. you must be an engineer or something like that. question do you spend more money in fuel or shampoo? hahahaha just kidding nice boat.
He practically built AWS....
We might get a Nordhavn 64
Where did you get the second alternator mount for that 6068?? Is that John Deere part, or did Nordhavn fabricate it? Maybe a third party vendor? Any info would be great, thank you.
Excellent video and explanation. I will throw in a few bucks for hair cuts.
