Very helpful with servo upgrade👍 having 18T 60kg servo, there is no saver from Arrma for that, so I was thinking about solution and what you did will definitely work on my project. Thank you so much for being professional in all details👍
I never understood why 1/5 aarma mounts the servo saver to servo with a cheap plastic insert so jank. I sold my outcast 8s like a week after I got it. Something broke every five minutes. I'm used to my xmaxx's . Great video man I love these I run a triple 5 on 8v on my summit so strong I love it!
I would love to see about a dozen trucks like this in a demolition derby. Last one that can move wins. I would even watch it on pay per view. Trucks crashing into each other. Some with their batteries going up in flames. Could even make it into a show similar to Battle Bots, with just trucks.
Ahhhh the pain. I wanted to put this servo in my karton... I wanted to mate it with my 4pm I believe this servo was SR compatible....the pain continues I recently purchased the AGFRC A280BVSW 3/4S I believe this servo was compatible as well...unfortunately I had the same problem as you, the mounts on the servo sat higher than the mounts on the 1/5 servo mount supplied with the 1/5 exb....no room for the servo saver...the hunt continues. This is getting aggravating.
That was a great run! You have got to get the EXB front bumper and put it on your K8S, they take some much abuse compared to hitting the tires first every time. Also, HR has come out with a servo saver design that is a bit more traditional, might be worth checking out.
@@ExocagedRC wow that's some good gears then if the link breaks before the gears and there is NO saver😎😎 Too bad this beast is WAY out of my price range. I'm always looking for the 40-120 servo that is a bargain and reliable. Wondering how this 9imod 45kg servo is gonna fair for me, it was $30😳😲 so if it's 80% up to specs will be great. Worth a test on your servo testor?? ... The video should make back that money eventually I have this 70kg 1/5th scale STI or somthing off Bangood I haven't put in yet for my Outcast. @@ExocagedRC Maybe try cutting the bottom of the box to drop that servo lower to make up for it being taller, that way saver and servo axel can fit proper.... Protect that beast.... It will eventually die from impact no matter how tough, without a saver. But with one it might last FOREVER
My Hot Racing servo saver arrived. There are 2 issues with it. The center hole for the screw is too small. I had to drill out the hole to 9/64". The 3.5mm X 8mm screw supplied by Reefs RC is too short. Finding the right screw is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. The 3.5mm screw is one of the oddest sizes ever. However, I did manage to find the screw that's needed at McMaster-Carr. It's an Allen cap screw with a 3.5mm thread that's 16mm long. Search for 91292A352 at McMaster-Carr and happy bashing.
Sounds like u have a spool/diff locker.... it's it in the center & or the rear? I'm new to your channel so I don't know if uv already covered that in another video
So how many runs did u use it like this I'm gonna run this servo in a outcast 8s how would you suggest to set it up. Also is there a servo that's good quality but cheaper in price that you would recommend?? I love reefs but in canada this thing is almost $500 lol bit of change
What servo would you recommend for your Typhon build , I have run upgraded spektrum servos and have been great never had a reefs, and few of those crashes look like you ment too big balls brother 🤣
@@jusswild I believe they have 3-D servo mounts on EBay . You might have to trim for that servo an it’s gonna install on of the RX box. Hope this helps.
if the servo would sit back like the stock one, yeah it can be made to work, I've ordered the Hot Racing saver as I'm hoping that design will fit in there
@@ExocagedRC If the Hot Racing servo saver works post it up please. My Beast 2000 arrived yesterday. It probably doesn't need it. I placed 3 washers between the mount and the servo.
What esc motor combo are you running? Trying to figure out if I want to go xlx2 800kv or max 5 800kv. but I do think I will go reefs beast maybe the 2000
GREAT VIDEO JOE. YOU GAVE HER SOME ABUSE. AMAZING SERVO. CAN'T GO WRONG WITH A REEF'S SIR

I feel the same way about 08s
Another beastly servo run and test!!! Very impressed so far. 👊👊👍👍
Looks like you been taking tips off the motocross guys with your air control & whips 👏👏👍
LOL Its driving in the air
That’s awesome I want to do this to mine the saver sucks man was thinking bout upgrading it

Exo....you are an excellent driver ...Yeah
thanks
The one handed Bandit !!!
Loved the slow motion jump and all the others for that matter.
Thanks for the video and your time .. please from where I can get like your wheel or more options to my kraton 8s !

I have a newer video showing the use of the Hotracing servo saver. That works.
Great video bro! The beast is a fitting name for that servo🤣🤙💯💯💯✅
Great footage Joe, that servo held up really well considering its got no servo saver.
Yeah I was a bit worried about that one being such an expensive servo
@@ExocagedRC yeah i could tell on your voice but it took it really well dude. Awesome!

That back yard😳😳😳 why would you bash any place else....rc paradise 😎👍

So awesome. Are the exb front arms different than the blx? Mine broke already...
Do you have a video on how to set the end points
How did this end up holding up? Did it ever fail?
That escalated quickly...

Awesome info. Yeah the 3.5mm is odd. I’ve got the saver here now. Need to make it work
SO YEAH 👍😂😂🤣
Another Good One 💪💯
I need them steering upgrades wow just wow
That’s a whopper of a servo and looks like it was happy with no servo saver …. time will tell 👍👌👍
Yeah how long will it last is the question
How did you power this beastly servo, would I be happy with it just on my max5 stock bec turned to 7.4?
Woah that’s wicked I’m so sick of buying junk xmaxx 2085x servos I would love to have that’s setup
yeah but these are way way too big for an xmaxx.
Get the savox 2290
Sounds like u have a spool/diff locker.... it's it in the center & or the rear? I'm new to your channel so I don't know if uv already covered that in another video
no spool or locker, just ear plugs in the center diff.
First I've ever seen a dog bone bend
Oh man we bend them every time out, all 4 are bent and been hammered out.
Great video brother. Do you see yourself going back to the stock setup? Using the servo saver.
Stock servo no but I do want to figure out a way to get a saver on it somehow.
Dang that is a monster!!!! Any bigger it could be used as a power steering box in a full size!!!! What are you going to install the 2000 into?🤘🤘🤘
It's in his dblx e 2.0
Have u ever had the problem where your wheels don't turn left or right but there's nothing wrong with the servo if so how did u fix it
Gnarly!
Wats up Joe
Nice man!
Hey Joe just wondering how's this working out for u now is it still running good I want to do the same servo
did fine but I used that servo in another vehicle so I could put a saver back on this truck

Yeah I got the one that comes with the EXB I think.
💯👍
What servo horn is that and how meny teeth
How did you get the HR servo savor on its way too tight
why's was won't fit for my xmaxx???
Do i need vitavon axles for for a vitavon steel spool.
nope
What is the best way to set end points on a stock kraton 8s
with the motor disconnected lol
Do you think the 1000 will go in the Xmax ??
Nope

really? Anything break?
No no breakage but I don't really bash it
It's really nice it's really fast just like you're running a 10 scale race race truck
Put it in a Xmaxx
It won’t fit without a LOT of cutting.
Those dog bone shaft's are the weak points on my 1/8 dementor XP now need to find something better and stronger
Not seeing the appeal in the car slow and clunky.. I got a 16 scale brushless from laegendary it's so awesome... much better than this car...

Hate to burst your bubble but those two reefs servos are just rip off of AGF RC Servo you're just paying $100+ extra
for it to say Reefs 😂😂😂😂😂😂
