Robert Ryan and Harry Belefonte, 2 great gifted artists and humans! How I wish more men like these 2 were still represented what it is and what is positive.
Robert Wise was an incredible director-West Side Story, The Sound Of Music, Odds Against Tomorrow, and my personal favorite, The Haunting, probably the creepiest film ever made. Also, per Widmark playing the vile racist in No Way Out, he was also known as a good kind man who, just like Robert Ryan, was a thoroughly professional actor. I have read that Widmark would apologize to Poitier before filming because of all the horrible things he was going to say.
It's a superb film. I've always thought that the robbery plan had a few flaws. For example, when the Ed Begley & Robert Ryan characters rented the hotel room to case the bank, that was a mistake. Wouldn't law enforcement officials have checked with the hotel, had the heist succeeded? They would have gotten descriptions of the two, and possibly fingerprints. The zooped up station wagon motor was a great idea, but the robbers should have had a hood lock.

Robert Ryan was a superb actor and a gentleman.
Mr. Belafonte is such an inspiration!

Brilliant interview
Brilliant guy
Robert Ryan was terrific in his role here. I really felt for his character.
Thew truth be told; Robert Ryan was the consummate thespian who excelled in every role he portrayed!
Can't get enough of Harry Belafonte.
One of my favorite actors Robert Ryan and of my all time favorite movies with a terrific cast. I always thought the ending was a homage to White heat.
Robert Ryan was awesome.
He sings the Blues brilliantly in the Movie.
Ryan had those intense and piercing eyes.
...bellafonte'' never made a bad movie...great sense of homour...kudos. for his co-actors & friends...
Very interesting how there are 2 different endings to Odds. The free version on this channel is apparently the UK version.
What is the alternate ending from the two being killed in the explosion and the last shot is of the sign saying "dead end"?
My favorite part in the movie, Odds Against Tomorrow, is when Harry Belafonte and Mae Barnes do the night club scene

I believe he and Poitier were life long friends as well. These 4 actors, just grade A talented personas.
Why didn’t Robert Ryan do televised interviews?

You should write screenplays! It was a great movie!
