Hi and thanks for sharing this. Question: what system did you have on your Raptor prior to installing the Sony XAV 9500 ES? I understand that you're using Maestro with the Sony Deck. It'll be greatly appreciated if you could share as much information. I have a Ford Flex 2014 with SYNC 2 and I'm not sure that having this SONY installed would be able to retain the features like for example the Climate options (in my Flex I only have these physical buttons to control the climate: Dial with push button to turn it ON-OFF, and +/- touch buttons to adjust the temperature. The rest is in the SYNC, like the output of the of the air blown ) Thank you in advance
i think i might go with the 9000es i was debating this or kenwood 958xr and alpine 507ilx...but im hearing that the chip in this is really high fidelity...
I have had this radio now for about six months and hate it.. Freezes up on me.. Sound goes out…. Buttons freeze up and don’t work… shut off and on during car play… Colume button stays the same and can’t mute… Nothing but problems I’m about to call Sony and return it…
Can you turn off the calls/ text messages Reading your text to you? I really don't need to be going somewhere with the old lady and it reads my text messages out loud 😲🤫🤢
How is possible this brand new digital media receiver don't have HD Radio built also another still receiver sleeve from a smart phone? everyone look the price for what you get it?? this isn't another insufficient expensive device. Everyone remember this, all digital media radios if don't have a smart phone close, you just to have peace or stereo same 1990 just FM/AM no CD no Cassettes. My point is 2022 all Stereos Digital media Streaming are coming must to be GPS Built, HD Radio Built at least for the price, why?? thinking about it, you are using a receiver just to fo plug to you car and play music, just are using bluetooth or usb and a stereo you paying $1000 or more. i dont know, if someone thinking im wrong please explain me what happen/. I just had this put in my silverado and it looks amazing. Im not a fan of the floating display either they got it pretty close to looking factory.

How is sound quality? Does the builded DAC give a lot?
The Sony es is an amazing unit . When paired with a DSP and amplifier , sound quality is amazing .. you can hear grass grow lol

They have released a handful of updates now which may help ya .. very easy to update while in vehicle . No need to removed to update

honestly not 100% sure.. I believe its in some settings of your phone under CarPlay
