I’d be really interested in the psychology behind this decision. The one thing that is unambiguous black about her ( her hair), she feels ‘liberated’ from after shaving it off. She can do all of these things now, magically, because she doesn’t have her hair to worry about. She doesn’t have to feel self conscious about how she looks anymore because she doesn’t have her hair. It’s coming off very anti black. And here I was waffling about giving her a chance… Glad I was cured of that.
I don't think it's anti-black to be stressed by natural hair because it can be a little much (like 4c) to take care of. I will say I do think it's bs for her to say it's hard, mainly because she's a millionaire. She has more than enough resources to make having 4c hair easier. She just doesn't want it.
@@miamor8663… I didn’t say it was anti black to feel like your hair is hard to care for. I said it was anti black to have the sentiments she felt about her hair. Oh yeah i can definitely relate, i grew out my hair for 2 years it's so much longer than it was before and it's so different and much more difficult to maintain but i love how it looks.
It sounds like she hates wearing wigs and not having hair. Why would she wear a wig while working out in the first place? She can do whatever she wants with her body and hair and I'm glad that she's happy, but wearing wigs is something you shouldn't do while working out/swimming no matter if you have hair or not. The key is accepting your hair as it is, of course it's exhausting wearing a wig 24/7.
Natural hair is considered not presentable any where. So black women constantly have to straighten their hair and get so much work done to their hair to the point where the hair is unhealthy an full of chemicals the completely damage it. Taking care of black hair is very exhausting, this is why they need to wear wig everytime. (sorry bad english)
When I was little and in my teens, I had a thing for cutting my hair. I am now on a journey of growing my hair at a goal length however when I make that goal, I will be a bald eagle.

Doja said she has a big forehead to begin with and in her first interviews (Moo era) she was saying having those kind of wig (no baby hair, flashy wig, weird hairline) was her jam and when she removed them in her livestream you could see the damage. We have to be careful with our hair and that glue lol
I’ve shaved my head 5 times. Everyone should do it at least once!!!!!!
I did once & it felt very breezy!
Years ago n highschool I wanted to cut my hair in the back, but shaved it bald by accident. One person called me biscuit head, some posted me on social media without my consent, and others said I was brave.
I hope her hair stylist is still as present in her life. He seemed to know how she felt & kept her grounded a lot.
I respect her decision for shaving her hair off I get that long hair can be a hassle
SHE LOOKS SO NICE WITH HER HEAD SHAVED OMG!!!!! LOVE YOU YOUR MY QUEEN
I fkn love you! Inspiring me to do the same.
I wanna cut off all this old energy.
To be free. Not to think I gotta be something for someone.
I’m over it too.
I don’t like having hair!!
She always looks good and being able to pull off a shaved head just proves that.
DC: There's times where I'd put a beanie, on top of my wig, that's on top of a wig cap that's on top of braids!
That IS a nightmare! She looks cute! #doUboo
You still look great like An Egyptian goddess
um
You nasty cuh
Girllllll you don't need to explain yourself YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT MAMAS I LOVE AND SUPPORT YOU ALL THE WAY
I’d be really interested in the psychology behind this decision.
And here I was waffling about giving her a chance…
Glad I was cured of that.
I don't think it's anti-black to be stressed by natural hair because it can be a little much (like 4c) to take care of. I will say I do think it's bs for her to say it's hard, mainly because she's a millionaire. She has more than enough resources to make having 4c hair easier. She just doesn't want it.
Don't take it personally. She's a biracial with a whyt mom. She didn't grow up knowing how to take care of it, hence the hair self-hate.
@@miamor8663… I didn’t say it was anti black to feel like your hair is hard to care for. I said it was anti black to have the sentiments she felt about her hair. I’ve heard many blk women with the same sentiments and it’s anti blackness perpetuated by white supremacist beauty standards. Her having a white mother and and absent black father just supports my thoughts.
@@LeratoM98… I’m not taking anything personal. I’m just not gonna put my money and time and energy into someone that have ideals that harm my community.
@@rainbeauxunicorn5237 I don't think she's harming anyone. She just hates her hair. And remember she's biracial, so what she does shouldn't really affect blk people unless they are the type who use the One Drop Rule.

Edit: omg thank you so much for all the likes!
🤩
do likes generate money?
Relatable
@@juan180p nope, something far more valuable to these people. Attention.
Nothing compares.
She still SLAYS so whatever I'm happy she's happy 😊
The fact we can hear her dogs playing with their toys and barking in the background is funny
I recently went from waist length hair to cropped close to my head, shaved in the back and really short in front. So freeing to not have all that weight dragging me down. So much easier to maintain. So much cooler instead of being covered in sweat. I may never grow it out again lol I saw this and felt like, yeah, I get this lol And Doja looks stunning no matter what she has on her head. A beautiful soul will always shine through.
Doja you are beautiful with or without hair....your true beauty is your beautiful soul...do you boo!
I felt so free when I cut my hair off too. So I totally understand, and there are times now when I feel like cutting it again frfr!!!
She's one of the realist 👌 💯 outside of her music and talent one of the reasons I love her so much
I support you Doja for wanting short hair. You are beautiful. 💕🥰
she looks amazing with and without
Oh yeah i can definitely relate, i grew out my hair for 2 years it's so much longer than it was before and it's so different and much more difficult to maintain but i love how it looks.
Beauty is pain 😂 I have such long hair and it takes days just to condition it in the shower 😭
She certainly is one of a kind keeper.
When she wear a wig it’s to protect her hair! Wearing wigs for black women is a style protectant so our hair won’t get dry
@@Valentino016 i see natural hair everywhere and it looks great, you're making shit up lol
@@DMurcielago fr and I also get compliments all the time. But ig I can’t speak for everyone..
Facts I let my hair go awhile ago. So much easy to shave it off. No receding, no expensive barbers, no real maintenance!
When I was little and in my teens, I had a thing for cutting my hair.
I am now on a journey of growing my hair at a goal length however when I make that goal, I will be a bald eagle.
So she doesnt like her natural hair ?
Doja do you love...our mental doesn't include anyone but our spirit!!
I’m just curious why did she have to workout with a wig? I thought she wore it for performances only? Regardless she can pull off a shaved head! I could never!!
Pretty sure the wig was a sew in
@@Katherine_xs oh! I don’t know much about wigs it’s my first time knowing it can be sewed in!! I have a very long hair (53 inch, yeah I measured it😆) so working out is hell for me, buns and ponytails give me headache and neck pain and braids get in the way, so hearing she’s having layers on her head while a wig can be removed made me puzzled but now I get it! Thanx.
@@Katherine_xs if it’s sewn in then it’s not a wig. You’re definitely not supposed to wear a wig to workout, idk why she did that. The great part about wigs is being able to take it off
I was wondering too, but I guess she's just very insecure about her natural hair, which is sad, because it was beautiful. She does look great with a shaved head though!
@@Katherine_xs no Katherine you’re wrong. I have never seen no sewn wig, I use to wear wigs myself. It’s just an insecurity bc she doesn’t like her natural hair or didn’t want to make it presentable to her liking or just simply didn’t know how to.
You can still wear your natural hair without shaving it completely off. But I do understand what she’s mean and good for her, I’m glad she found happiness with her decision
Was a black girl at university who would often look completely different from week to week as she would wear different weaves, or just rock it shaved. I always thought she was really cool, attractive and unique in doing her own thing not following societal "norms". Must be harder for women who want to just have a shaved head, everyone can make their own choices and need not criticise others. Shaved hair is literally super practical. The list goes on and on for the benefits!
It's sad I always wanted to be compared to Britney spears when I was in school but the only time I got called Britney spears was when this poor white woman was at her worse and shaved her head. Nobody wins!!! I'm a Haiti born girl tht just was born with betraying skin and hair btw so ppl really wanted me to show off my "good long hair". We all have good hair longs as it's healthy n if we don't who cares how a girl rocks her hair even if it's a head coverings. Thts another thing I started being obsessed w/ modesty n even when I do that I was frowned for it but a middle eastern person won't. I hate this world I swear cuz I never can win n it's hard to ignore ignorance.
Doja be yourself Queen!
You look BEAUTIFUL 😍
Ugggh I wish I had the balls to shave my head 😍 it’s so beautiful!!!
me tooo
She's so pretty. I love this girl.
Ughhh as a girl with sooo much hair I feel this in the depths of my soul… but I could never cut or shave it off. It’s overwhelming at times but I’m grateful and blessed for my hair. Some people wish they had hair! But to each his own! She looks beautiful and happy and she rocks the buzz cut!!!
She’s a real person with feelings and emotions 💋she’s perfect ❤
I feel bad for her. She didn’t really have black influences growing up so she never understood her hair. But oh well she looks good regardless.
Right she had great hair. She does look good though
Lol, that doesnt have to be it, im blackity black black and feel the same way
Ppl don't understand the struggle, the sacrifice of wearing those wigs. I feel you I can't do it. I wear my hair natural now but I understand you being an entertainer and having to be versatile. Everyone can't wear a bald head, plus the courage it takes because ppl that have nothing to do with your life want to judge you. Kudos young Queen.
Ok because I wanted to shave my hair too!
Let her be who she wants to be 😊
I love doja cat no matter what who cares about hair
You’re literally EVERYTHING 🥹 as long as you promise to never stop blessing my ears, heart & soul with your dope ass music, ion care if you’re bald or not!! Just stay HAPPY K 😭💗🫶🏽
I remember feeling the exact same way when I shaved my head. And it just freed up so much time and energy, it was AMAZING!!!
I was confident in a way where it didn't matter what anyone said, I just knew what I was about.
She is still a mighty mighty fine attractive woman .
😭I WILL LOVE FOR MY WHOLE LIFE ❤️

She is so flippin’ beautiful.
All that money and she couldn’t find someone to help her manage her natural hair really ?? I feel like it’s deeper than that …
@@emilinegabriele SHE DID lol
@@emilinegabriele She literally said she hated managing it, and the way she spoke about her hair sometimes made it obvious she didn't know how to take care of it. She's a millionaire. She can find people/alternatives to care for it. She just doesn't want to, which is fine. But she shouldn't keep pushing a narrative about how "difficult" natural hair is.
@@miamor8663 natural hair is pretty hard. Mainly bc we didn't have as much info on our hair and a lot of black ppl didn't have anyone to help them understand their hair.
@@iameli330 I get that. What I'm saying is Doja doesn't have an excuse. She's a multi millionaire. She can easily find products and people to help with her hair. She just doesn't like it. It's as simple as that
@@miamor8663 ok? Just bc she's a millionaire doesn't mean everything works also it take a while to learn your hair. Longer than some can handle 🤷🏽♂️
If you are a black woman and you are afraid to let the world see your hair. Then that means they win. But I am happy for her because she has decided to be herself.
She is not a black woman. She has made that pretty clear by her behaviour

You’re absolutely FUCKING GORG!!!!! I love the cut ❤️❤️❤️🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
She just explained exactly how I felt when I got my hair cut short. It is soo much better. I always had horrible curly unmanageable long hair but now it's at a very very short length that's way easier to control and way more comfortable.

Is it just me who think that she’s f**in’ hot even hotter than having hair? Luv this look ❤
I think it's cuz her hairline is back so far.
You're still beautiful Doja 🥰
