Thank you so much. I’ve follow the directions to came with him, but could not understand them. I watched two other videos and they didn’t help either. You Finally explained it so I could follow.
Thanks SO much for this video! I wish I had seen it before my hiking trip last weekend. I was about ready to return these, but now I see how easy it is!
Thank you! My husband bought me a different brand, but same style pole for Xmas 2020. However, despite 30 years in skilled trades and 3 university degrees we could not figure out how to get them together. That company's instructions were very hard to decipher and they had no videos online.
These are strong and light but be careful when setting them up. I accidentally pulled the handle past the STOP line and the steel cable fell out of its socket in the handle. There's no obvious way to fix it so I'm stuck with a pole and a handle. Unless one of you has a suggestion about how to reconnect them, I'll be returning mine. Update: The connecting cable doesn't attach to the handle. An Equipeak rep told me to simply insert the pole back into the handle. That's it! DOH! I have already recommended these poles to my friends. I will continue to do that now that my poles are "fixed".
It would have been nice to include instructions on how to adjust the straps. I'm having the hardest time with those. The little pieces keep popping out.
I've had those poles for awhile. the spring tension to the pull lock position is looser now. Is there a way that I can retighten the tension? Because of the lack of tension, it is more rattlely now also. I really like these poles and want to keep using them. Thank you!

Even after watching this video my pole still is loose and collapses in the middle. I've done everything listed (the only difference is your tab is white while mine is black). What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Much appreciated.
Very useful and easy to understand
Girlfriend could not figure out. I found your video. Eh Voila!!! Thanks again
Great video but the string in the top section of my pole has come undone. Is there any way to fix this?
awesome, thanks.

Anybody know how to reconnect the steel cable?
Does anything keep the pole from pulling apart? Say it gets stuck in mud and you have to pull up.

Amazing how engineers can make something that should be so simple, so complicated. Is this common for all pole manufacturers or just Trekology?
I just bought some made by Woods. The exact same problem brought me to this video. Lol. Same solution too. Pull harder.
but not kork
Thanks did you get the consent of the parents of the kids in the background that you’re filming😂
Do I hear an Irish accent?
Would ask Paul about that :)
@@Trekology I dont know Paul haha
Where are they manufactured? It seems I'm the only person that cares anymore.
Hi Lane, the poles are made in China.
