Only saw Bradshaw once. It was maybe 2002 or 2003. They had the four stroke nationals series, and it was at Thunder Valley in Colorado. Bradshaw raced on a 250 smoker. There was a downhill double out of a 180. The thumpers had to ride the outside line of that 180 to clear it. There was this tiny little mound of dirt on the inside edge of the track before the jump. It was small...like someone had a Home Depot bucket half full of dirt and dumped it. Bradshaw saw it, and he used it as a lip to jump that double. Nobody else would try it. The guy was special on a bike...no doubt.

They don't build 'em like that anymore! Today's track builders need to revisit the past. The cookie cutter tracks of today... might be part of why we aren't leading the world anymore!

Your comment makes no sense. What do you mean we are on top nobody can compete with Americans at supercross. You do know this is a supercross video right. Also tracks today are much tougher than the supercross tracks of old the riders are also at a much higher skill level mechanically and physically. Back in the day you could get away with training two or three days a week Alden Baker and Ricky Carmichael changed that. McGrath even said that he actually even said that if he had the same training regiment nowadays as he did back then he wouldn't have won as much.

World stage, not supercross. And no, I don't think today's tracks are more difficult nor more creative than the tracks of the late 80's. I think we need to adopt a hybrid. So many of the obstacles of old we just don't see anymore. As for training, I didn't breath a word about that...

If you watch the entire season you see its the same thing back then... The same dozen elements in different orders. It just appears different from today because they had unique obstacles back then.

      Unique obstacles? Absolutely!
