Tudor Black Bay 36 is a boring time piece

- 3 years after the purchase, this watch is a real keeper in my collection. Perfect for my small wrist and stands out among my 36mm size watches. With all the scratches it earned tells the story of the watch with the owner and yet it still look good to wear on any occasion.
I own my BB36 black version for 3 months and I absolutely love it, wear it as the only watch everytime, everywhere. No complaints for the movement, it runs reliably, gains only few seconds per day, no complaints for the 19mm lug width, because I don'wear it only on the fantastic bracelet. The only issue was that I needed to order and install one uncleseiko half link instead of the regular link to achieve the perfect fit. Now it can't be better.
The workmanship gives you definitely a feeling of premium watch, in all the small details you can find the difference comparing to a budget watch. Someone appreciate, someone not.
For me, this was not definitely a cheap watch but the wearing experience is so addictive that it completely prevented me from willing to buy any other one.
Hope this will last me for years.
Thanks for the video, keep well...
Same thought, i was aiming to buy the explorer 1 but stumbled this and pulled the trigger and now i have only this piece in my collection for 4 years now
Just purchased a BB36, all other watches are now heading for the door.
I am happy owner of a blue dial 36mm...I love it. For years I though I wanted a rolex explorer...until then, I am absolutely enjoying this!
I’m waiting for the bb36 with blue dial …what do you think of the colour blue on this Watch? Thanks
I have 2*36mm Tudor Black Bays & they are without doubt my favourite watches to wear. I wear them ahead of my Rolex & Omega watches. Simple, understated & beautiful design make it a classic.
I own one, and I absolutely love it. I have a small wrist, and for many years wore a Seiko 5, so I prefer a smaller watch. It looks right on my wrist. I love the quality - the build and finish is impeccable - especially the bracelet and clasp. The only downside is that the clasp can attract scratches - but it’s nothing that can’t be sorted out with some fine Scotchbrite. The only watch I think I’d replace this with is a 36mm Explorer.
I also see it as a Sports watch. It's small enough to not get in the way and has great water resistance.
I bought the blue dial version and it's now my everyday watch.
Great video.
I don't want to plant some costly thoughts in your mind, but you should also consider a Sinn 556 especially the black dial version. It's small, hat a 20 bar water resistance, is antimagnetic and truly high-end finished. It's the perfect watch to add to the Black Bay 36
Got mine half a year ago and have worn it every day since.
I liked your video! Keep it up. I'm a Tudor fan and own 5. I have to admit that I bought a new 41mm version of this watch (at a big discount), only so I could sell the bracelet and then sell on the Watch with the NATO strap. If I had sold just the bracelet and NATO I would have owned the watch head (box and papers) for about $1,000. Once I saw this watch I really didn't want to do that. I wanted to keep the watch, period. But I sold it because I have so many watches (Tudor's). It is an underdog (meaning very low in the Black Bay lineup). But it's an impressive watch and my 41mm was great in size (depth) than the newer updated "In House Movement" Divers. Good luck!
Another lovely upload.
Thanks for ur support
Although i always associate circles and batons to dive watches, i think this is a perfect alternative to the Explorer.
Totally agreed that this is a very good watch for people with smaller wrist sizes. I also did a review on the BB36 on my Channel if you are interested. Cheers!
I own mine, and I love mine and it co-exists with my Oris Diver 65 36mm. I love everything about the BB36, but not a fan of the size of the clasp. I feel like it is too big for the watch. I wish it is a tad bit smaller and tapered more
so did u replace your bb36 for the exp 1? do u still wear this piece?
Beautiful review. Subscribed 👍
Thanks thanks
I'm just waiting for an update from tudor for this model... in house movement? different crown? hoping it stays at 36 mm...
The newer S&G 36 models have the in-house calibers in them. They will eventually phase out the Tudor regulated ETA movements in the coming years, guaranteed. Would be a good time to pick up an ETA 36 as they will be discontinued.
Nice
If they added the in-house movement and changed nothing else, this would be perfect. I'm sure they will add the movement, but I have a feeling they will also change the seconds hand and also the lower dial text to look like the two-tone version. I suppose it does modernize the watch a little without being too drastic, but I like the more vintage touches of this BB more. The in-house movement would definitely be a nice upgrade over a 2824 for the money, though.
Please stop distrurb your own videos with needless, annoying music. For whom mother tongue isnt english, its stressful. ty
Gorgeous watch but not in 36mm for a man’s wrist. It’s more a lady’s size. A 41mm would be perfect.
I can pull that off but with my skinny wrist it does really over hang
Depends on your wrist size. If you have smaller wrist then this is perfect.
36 mm is very firmly a men's size in vintage Rolex / Tudor pieces. If you want the truer vintage feel the 36mm is the right option.
If you want to see what size a man wears, look at photos of Earnest Hemingway - I assure you he isn't wearing anything bigger than 36mm.
Large watches a fad...36 is great size
