Matt, I was literally searching for this video about 3 hours ago as my son seemed to open up last night at a fall ball practice. Uncanny!!! Thank you, sir!

This has to be the best description of getting out of posture, or 'flying out' that I've ever seen. As hard a problem as it can be to fix, it's even harder to find a good diagnostic and fixing video. Great as usual!

For you young hitters out there that are wanting to play highschool and beyond I would take the advice that Matt is giving you. Because this will help you and just because baseball is over for the year doesn't mean you stop hitting or throwing. Develop a program for yourself or get into a program that will strengthen your skills and work on things that you struggled with. See I pitched from little league to highschool and at age 13 I played travel baseball for coaches that played college or pro. I'm in my mid to late 40's now but what Matt was showing you in these videos I can do in my sleep. But if your serious about it then I would suggest taking these tips seriously even during the off season

This is pure gold Matt. I’m going try to bring my sons to your camp next year all the way from Camarillo Ca. As always Thanks for all your tips!

I wish anyone had explained hitting to me like this when I was younger.

@antonellibaseball for these drills, do you place the tee middle of the plate and then have the hitter start from their normal position in the box?

Kyle Schwarber and Luis Arraez came to mind while I was watching this. I wish Matt would do a hitting analysis of both of them, as Schwarber has the most unused stats line I've seen since Adam Dunn in his prime, and Arraez rarely strikes out, which is unheard of these days.

This is a clown comment, bro. Making it to the big leagues means you’re better than 99% of all baseball players.
He’s closer to Mike Trout than we are to him.

@@webgem14 my point is he’s giving all these lessons to children not for free btw and when you look at his career it don’t show a successful mlb career it’s shows a journey man who moved from team to team padres , nationals , orioles , Yankees , Indians and didn’t make any impact so what can he teach kids ???

@@Coincidenceright my point is, even as an mlb journey man, that’s an incredibly successful career compared to everyone else. There’s several popular coaches now who didn’t sniff the big leagues. Not only that, somebody that’s the absolute best players sometimes make the worst coaches. We should judge the coaches on their coaching ability.
