for eric to keep saying he wasn't and isn't my son shows the kind of man he is. i get his pissed and hurt but he's still his son biological doesn't mean anything. yes he's in shock but family is more than blood. as for stephanie he has such disdain yet brooke hurt his daughter and has done things so much worse and he forgives her in minutes. what about how he left stephanie and their 4 kids to marry brooke. so who is eric to talk about stephanie. she slept with massimo 1 time didn't know she was pregnant she slept with eric multiple times and thought it was his. when she found out years later she didn't want to hurt him. that is a big difference from all the horrible things brooke has done.
I agree with you 100% on everything. But Eric is just as much of a hypocrite as Brooke. They only see other people's mistakes. He will show this behavior many more times when he interferes in his children's relationships and otherwise will not take any advice or warnings from his children about Quinn or Donna. He was never faithful to Stephanie, he just took advantage of her business strength and sought his pleasure elsewhere. He himself has been hiding for decades that the Douglas trust is in his safe, which certifies that FC actually belongs to Stephanie. So much for his demanded honesty.
Stephanie should just forget all about Eric (who never deserved her) and start a second phase of her life where she's only involved with women and happier for it. (Same advice to Lily)
*Two paternity secrets* The Darla/Thorne/Macy storyline is clearly a parallel to the Massimo/Stephanie/Eric storyline. In both cases, we have a happily married couple where a paternity secret will break up the marriage if it is revealed. Darla is playing the role of Massimo today - wanting to tell the truth because that way, she has a chance to be a family with Thorne (the exact same reason why Massimo wanted the world to know he was Ridge's father). And this puts her in the position of an antagonist, almost a villain (as @Faye has pointed out before), because now she is almost expressing a wish for Thorne to leave his wife and choose Darla and the baby instead, which really amounts to yet another betrayaI, especially since she just came from seeing Macy and knows first hand how devastated she is already. Thorne is in Stephanie's position - having a baby by someone other than his spouse, and wanting to keep it a secret in order to save his marriage and in order to raise the chiId with his wife rather than the other biological parent. Macy is in Eric's position - or rather, she will be if she adopts Darla's baby. If she does, she will be raising the child her husband had with another woman, without knowing the truth. Eric's present illustrates what Iies ahead in Macy's future if Thorne gets what he wants. There are also similarities to another paternity secret - the Morgan/Ridge/Taylor storyline, where we also had the husband sleeping with his wife's best friend _while thinking he was doing something for his wife._
Great parallel! And Brad ruins both the Forrester family _and_ Thorne and Macy's super-couple status with these two paternity secrets. In the first case, he undermines the entire history of Ridge and his parents and in the second case, he prevents Thorne and Macy from _becoming_ history by not being able to have children together who carry on in another generation of the show.
Incomprehensible. In this episode, she was basically saying "yeah Thorne, I love Macy too and I feel bad for her but why don't you leave her and raise the baby with me instead?".
Bridget has the same bad taste concerning man then he mother... deacon... ridge... who is next?? And the good ones.. like CJ.. never have a real chance.
The Stans are such situational/hypocritical feminists. When Brooke was doing things 10x worse they were like, "Don't slot shame!" but now they're calling Stephanie a slot. They call every negative comment about Brooke "misogyny" and "sexism" but when Taylor was being held prisoner by Omar they were like, "Why doesn't she stay with her abusive captor??" 🥴
Calling a teenager a s l o t because she was seeing two boys around the same time, but make excuses for a washed up hagasaurus who is basically a timeshare between the Forrester men.
@@TriniT21 I am really trying to decide who is worse here, Darla or Thorne. Thorne expects Darla to just give her baby to Macy. Darla expects Thorne to just walk out on Macy (who is _Darla's best friend)_ so Darla can have the family with Thorne that Macy always wanted. And there's still the part where Darla sIept with Thorne _without him knowing or agreeing to it._ The question is who has more moraI right to the baby - the father who didn't want to sIeep with the mother in the first place, and didn't want her to have the baby until he realized it was his last chance of having a biological chiId of his own, or the mother who only got pregnant because she basically _stoIe_ the father's swimmers while he was too drunk to realize what happened.
How anyone defends Darla after this, and how the show manages to whitewash her character, is just beyond me. Knowing that Macy is grieving and broken, she tells Thorne “I know you’ve always wanted a family of your own, and I could give that to you” - ugh. Sick.
