This video doesn't give the right sound this sounds insane but the real life performance was absolutely ridiculous it was so clean and absolutely amazing to watch live and try to compete against
center went back to play xylo, marimbas on side 1 just shifted over an instrument till the center came back and played center. i could never really understand why he went back to play xylo.
dkeller20m I think it was because the xylo back there had one more octave than the xylo on his marimba, but that's all I can think of. He might have needed that one octave
xXSeriousSeriousXx I know right! I saw that video. My drumline went to the SCPA Colony HS comp and saw them at their first performance and it was insane. It really get a reaction in cali xD
It’s amazing this was just about 10 years ago.

It’s the best one in my opinion
Nothing compares to seeing this performance live
I was a sophomore in high school watching this. I still come to watch this video once a year or so.
Crazy how long ago they played this that when people ask me what was your favorite show you’ve ever seen and I tell them this one. This defined a lot.
This will forever be one of my favorite shows, glad I got to see them live once way back then

center went back to play xylo, marimbas on side 1 just shifted over an instrument till the center came back and played center.
i could never really understand why he went back to play xylo.
The hard mallet part could have been extremely demanding and they may have wanted their most experienced player handling that job, not that uncommon.
