Super cool video - some comments / ideas 1. By having access to a royal court they will even generate some renown for our dynasty, if their CG is higher than expected. I think the reason why the court grandeur drops may be that your new character actually had a court (or it was at least landed) before ascending to his father's throne, so that you inherit your new character's grandeur level instead of your old realm level. I think it also happens with crown authority. If someone could confirm or disprove me it would actually be great, as I am not 100% sure at all 😂
Had this happen to me in my recent Roman Empire ironman playthrough, can 100% confirm it's an issue with either their own court or lack thereof, as any of my sons that I granted Duchies or just single counties to who ended up inheriting the whole empire would end up lacking in court grandeur. The two ways to solve this are: 1. Making sure your direct heir is unlanded and just chilling at your court, or 2. If you have to deal with a ruler with low grandeur penalty, the classic solution of killing prisoners until you get max dread so that everyone who's pissed off at you is too scared to do anything works like a charm.
I think it is a bug connected to confederate partition. I had it several times in my run for mother of us all, it stopped when I switched to partition (even though I kept giving lands to my heirs).
So one strategy to avoid it could be to hybridize with the Catalans, get the Visigothic Codes tradition and switch to high partition. That should get rid of it.

There were ups and downs... kingdoms falling... murdering, befriending, factions rising with 10 more troops than yours ( like 30K fighting 150K), being invaded by neighbouring Empires such as Mongol, Arabian or the Magreb Empire.... But i standed i took control and emprisoned the rivals, destroyed the empires next to me and from the small and only dynasty member alive i created a legendary bloodline of more than 6 thousands dynasty members ⚔⚔⚔
Dude i tried this on console without royal courts or Northern Lords dlc because apparently it takes more than a year to deliver. Anyway i concurred almost the whole map. I was saving my war with the Mongols as an endgame. I started fighting them for the last part of the map. Freaking save file keeps on crashing. It really destroyed me. It was soul crushing. I hated ck3 for a while only now I'm just starting to play again. I want to try it out again but i don't trust paradox anymore. Also i think I'll wait for the royal courts dlc which will drop on May 17th.(yeah i did everything there is to do in this game stopped playing it for almost a year and only now they give us a dlc which i bought with the game more than a year ago) It looks way easier than the argues task i tried to mountain without any dlc.

Hey Zieley, great vid as usual. FYI when dealing with inheritable traits, the different tiers of a trait do not reinforce each other. Meaning "Quick" and "Genius" do not work together to increase your odds of getting one. You have to get 2 of the exact same trait and tier to reinforce, and the reinforcement will be shown in in the marriage proposal screen. I think "Inbred" is the only exception to this rule. It's kinda dumb but that's how it works.
I tried this a while ago and only got Europe before the end date. But despite being really lazy with my planning, I ended up with 500k troops and 800 gold income. No idea what led it to being such a massive success, but I made an effort to convert as many places to my culture and religion as possible. I rarely had any factions at all and only had to deal with peasant revolts. I also had such an extreme amount of money that I was upgrading my vassals' land too. I didn't even have the gold mines, it was all from buildings and tax, and my capital development was only 60-70. So task failed successfully I guess. I had no idea what I was doing.
Literally same right now. I just brought back the HRE and control all of Italy (expect Rome), Bavaria and Saxony, and then coastline of North Africa, Jerusalem and then all islands within the Mediterranean. I am making some +300 golf a month and have about 110,000 troops. I control relatively much less than he is but you can still dominate the gold and levies
i started playing literally a couple of days ago and i already love your channel. thanks for the "tutorial" of conquering irland. more of that would be much aprecciated
1:12:20 You should of granted your cousin a barony by default he is then your vassal as you are an emperor his grant of a kingdom would not make him independant.
52:40 ... imagine being on either side of this, on his side are man who just went to stand next to some castle to retreat, disband and then regroup again to siege that castle.... and then imagine rando peasant goin outside to see neighbours 9k troops just stand there n shit to just go back and then come back to invade
17:35 I think it was a missed opportunity not also getting communion here. I haven't finished watching yet but there would be a huge bonus. You can basically never fail a plot with a large religion and communion money.
At around 28 minutes, when you took the Kingdom of Bavaria, there's another silver mine in the county of Innsbruck. Should you ever wanna go for another insane world conquest 😂 Great video as always! Glad, it only almost killed you 😅

Using Italiy as your imperial core rather than Byzantium. Constantine would disapprove. So does everyone to the east. But I guess the most built-up land (beside India) is closer to the west? My strategy for going big in CK2 was crowbarring my way into the Byzantine line of succession, and then rebuilding Rome.
I think the court grandeur issue is because your son had a different court type than your court because if you notice the court type switched to administrative when I think beforehand it was the learning one? So I think since you switched court type it reset down to the lowest, that or your son was already landed and so had a low court level and that was inherited instead of yours.
This video thought me so much about the game ngl. These playthroughs are much better than tutorials in terms of understanding different mechanics of the game
If you ever do this again, I'd recommend starting as the big Khanate in the Mongol area. You can become greatest of Khans and get special mangonels and unlimited kingdom invasion CBs before year 900. If you hybridize w/ the buryat for Mythic Ancestors you can complete multiple dynasty legacies in your first lifetime. (That often needs a custom character, but not anything too crazy.) I've conquered most of India, Asia, and Europe before the year 1000 before. Strongly recommend for world conquests.

I have been pondering a Norse-Turkic hybrid culture for Horse Lord Vikings and you’ve made this come true (plus Monaspa and Camel Riders!) in only about a hundred years. I’m eager to see where the rest of this video goes.
You should consider using Konni as a pursuit unit, at the end game they will usually kill everyone in the retreat phase. I highly recommend using them.
I understand that feeling when you have to stick to the game for so long you get sick. Not just physically but also mentally. Thank you for your sacrifice to bring us such content.
I managed a world conquest in my first time playing through to the end date just last month. One trick I discovered for preventing civil wars during succession is to find a duchy title that you can make, whose land is completely controlled by a direct vassal that is already a duke or king. Create the title and grant it to another direct vassal that hates you, and preferably leads a faction. He will be grateful for being given the title. However, because he does not control any of the de jure counties, directly or via his own vassals, he will destroy that title. You can then make it again and then grant him that same title again. The opinion bonus stacks rather than overwrites, so you can keep doing this until the vassal is maxed in Opinion. The main flaw with this is the sink of money, so be sure to build yourself up to be making large bank by the time of late game. I suggest that you reform your faith and do the classic combo of establishing Communion and setting yourself as Head of Faith so that everyone else is constantly sending you indulgences. A bonus to this overall process is that your Prestige will skyrocket as a result of constantly purchasing titles, so it is also a good way to get your new character straight to Living Legend within a couple of in-game months.
honestly, not played 3 yet, but in 2, i always found that starting as an irish tribal 'baron' was a good place to start out for world domination runs, you can unify ireland, move on to scotland while england takes bites out of it, then, with a few choice allies, take the rest of britain to make an empire before moving off the isles.
Why did you choose Righteous over Fundamentalist? I find that my vassals who are Fundamentalist conquer large swathes of land by themselves very rapidly in comparison and it makes it much easier to strip lands from stubborn heathen vassals.⚔
Nice vid Z! I wonder if Koifish saw this vid. He’s the Haesteinn fanatic, but he’s never attempted this. I think he would like it. I can’t imagine how long it took you to put this together. 2 hours for us has got to be days or weeks with editing. Much appreciated. Thanks for this.
28:50 - A true reddit moment, the hardest challenge for them is indeed actually playing a game (either at all or for long enough to know what they are talking about) before making suggestions about mechanics.
When I did a world conquest soon after the game came out, I kept independence factions down by keeping my dread high by executing tons of prisoners. Can you still do this or has it been nerfed at some point?
Man, seeing you try the most difficult challenge using all the tools in your arsenal, after watching you for more than a year. It was like a character arch in a movie. Reeaaaallly enjoyed. The only this that I would do differently is stared the king vassals early and going full diplomacy focus and education after a certain size. Because money did not matter anymore, only your vassals Realy enjoyed man, big fan of your work!!
for wide games you should really consider the recognition of talent cultural tradition, the ability to grant pardons for crimes in exchange for strong hooks can make keeping massive empires together so much easier. if you're clever at exposing secrets as a just/honest character you can have an infinite supply of stress relief whilst pardoning all your major vassals to keep an extremely stable realm.
I got pretty close starting as bohemia in 1066. I spent the first hundred or so years before primogeniture building tall consolidating my realm spreading my dynasty and destroying the hre. Then after I got primogeniture I conquered Germany formed the hre as a non elective title used crusades and fabricated claims to take the necessary titles to form Rome. Got Rome did all the special decisions for it giving a bullshit about of income letting have 20k in men at arms risen at all times. Then I just chained wars nonstop until I had damn near the entire world under my control. In the end I just ran out of time but it was still my favorite run ever.

But i standed i took control and emprisoned the rivals, destroyed the empires next to me and from the small and only dynasty member alive i created a legendary bloodline of more than 6 thousands dynasty members ⚔⚔⚔
How was the fps
I am inevitable 😈
🐐
Yes u r
Was it worth it?
What did it cost?

1:02:05 Ypu should always check your previous alliances. You can keep them for 2-3 generations that way
"I'm going to start as this lowly count...."
Chooses Haesteinn the most OP character in the game 😂😂😂
*Screams in Koifish*
I wonder how the tours and tournaments patch will affect playing tall like this in the future. Since stacking effects won't be the same, excited to see your take on it Zieley.
It will be slightly slower at first, but way dumber by the end.
@@admontblancyep you can put all the right buildings and boost the stats of your troops like crazy
Just watched the whole vid, Epic! Also appreciate your style of edits - pacing, humor and explaining your choices in a bit more detail from time to time - just makes it great to watch.
I did Lingua Franca with Haestein; First Cagliari, then the Byzantines, then Rome, reviving the Roman Empire and Hellenism and reforming it towards a Norse-type religion. Picking up by the sword along the way. It was the longest game I ever played, but it was a lot of fun
Zieley chooses Jarl Hæstin.
Koifish:Hello there...
if don't find him commenting on this vid i'ma scream
You picked Hæsteinn and I immediately heard Koifish screaming in the back of my head.
Incredible video, Zieley, truly an epic conquest to bear witness to.
Now switch characters and see how fast you can bring the realm to ruin like you did to the super Umayyad empire.
Thanks for always working so hard for us!! 👑
Honestly could be an insane idea
@@Zieley Create as many empire titles as you can, then go for it.
@@Zieley Maybe let a fan send in a wc of it's own and then reverse 'fix his savefile' like you do in other vids?
nvm literally the next vid I click I see you doing a similar thing lol
Imagine taking Rome and then raising a runestone on the Vatican itself.
Chad.
Thank you Zieley for your content. I've been following your videos on and off for the last year or so. This video was perfect. It helped me broaden how I think about the empire to expand. Showing this much information in a 90 minute video is just brilliant.
Again, thank you for taking the time.
Your voice is so calming, falling asleep to this yesterday was one of the fastest times I've ever fallen asleep. Now I gotta rewatch most of it tho 'cause I sleept through it ):
I loved the editing in this video, I can tell this took alot of effort. Thanks for making this!
This video is amazing. Since I started playing ck3 which is about 3-4 months ago, I always wanted to see a world conquest video but I didn't really find one that could keep me engaged like this one did. Some were too long, some had no commentary. This one is just perfect and damn amazing
Bro I was worried you hadn't posted... but THIS? Holy crap. I can re-watch this for weeks. Keep up the great content (as always)!
Nearly two hours of Zieley, what a treat!
This is better than watching Netflix.
i started playing literally a couple of days ago and i already love your channel. thanks for the "tutorial" of conquering irland. more of that would be much aprecciated
18:30 everytime you do holy war this music plays reminds me of ck2 when anything happen the horns and trumpets go off
17:35 I think it was a missed opportunity not also getting communion here. I haven't finished watching yet but there would be a huge bonus. You can basically never fail a plot with a large religion and communion money.
At around 28 minutes, when you took the Kingdom of Bavaria, there's another silver mine in the county of Innsbruck. Should you ever wanna go for another insane world conquest 😂
Great video as always! Glad, it only almost killed you 😅
You can learn more languages than it is your limit, but then there is an event when you may give up some languages or be more stressed. You could do that pretty much infinitely.
Just recently got CK3 and found your videos recently too. You do an amazing job. The clips, your script, the runescape guy, the humor, I feel like you made this for me. So damn good.
This was so worth the wait. Almost 2 hours of Zieley CK3 content? Let him COOK
The time lapse of granting lands is so soothing.
The Mongols Rocking up to try and Conquer the world just to find most of it already United under an Empire based out of Rome that took lessons from Egyptians, Vikings, Georgians, Nomads and others lmao.
One needs to really appreciate the EDITOR for those. The thing about the editing is that it is very TASTEFUL. Not overmemed, never obstructing your original content, volumes extremely well balanced on each and every single overdub, and perfect comedic timing. Whoever did this - they need a raise and/or a lot more contracts from other content creators. My god, this is pure bliss in comparison anything I have seen so far from the gaming scene as a whole. SpiffingBrit has nothing on this!
Man I really really appriciate all the efforts
All the editing with meme sounds and all made around 2hr like 20min damn !!!
Guys like you are ideal youtubers who don't half-ass their content .
I really really liked this vedio .
!!!!!!!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!!!
Man your editing is freaking hilarious. I can not remember the last time I have genuinely laughed out loud while watching any form of media.
Love the videos man. That smooth sultry voice luls me into a trance and then WAM!!!! ADDS AT MAX VOLUME
- @1:39:40 Rules over the the entire known world
"how did i get stressed out?"
Love the memes and editing! Nice work - my overlord.
This is absolutely beautiful! You did a great job Zieley! Thanks for all of the amazing content you creating about this game! I love it!
Using Italiy as your imperial core rather than Byzantium.
Constantine would disapprove.
So does everyone to the east. But I guess the most built-up land (beside India) is closer to the west?
My strategy for going big in CK2 was crowbarring my way into the Byzantine line of succession, and then rebuilding Rome.
brOthr I've been trying to hybridize my culture for so long and didn't know I needed DLC for it, looks like the Greeks won't have longbows today.
Takes down the "crown jewel" of catholicism.
Instantly slams down a big slab of rock in the city and tells the citizens to worship it.
I think the court grandeur issue is because your son had a different court type than your court because if you notice the court type switched to administrative when I think beforehand it was the learning one? So I think since you switched court type it reset down to the lowest, that or your son was already landed and so had a low court level and that was inherited instead of yours.
The only thing better than watching a zieley video is to watch one one meth, but seeing him suffer is fine too
I'm honestly impressed on the editing through the whole video. Most people stop after the the 20 min mark. Your a chad.
This video thought me so much about the game ngl. These playthroughs are much better than tutorials in terms of understanding different mechanics of the game
Ty so much. You suffered in pain to make a 2 hour video for us. A hero we didnt deserve
Man i cant imagine how you felt making this. Because even by watching this as a viewer, it i feels exhausting.
Zieley: I don’t want to make it too easy
Also Zieley: Picks Character with amazing skills and a bunch of special troops
Aniconism: it's not ani-KAHN-ism, it's AN-EYE-kahn-ism. An- (against); icon (symbols). Icon as in "this sect sure is full of iconoclasts."
fuck this was a good video, easily your best yet, i usually play your videos while im doing chores but i actually sat down on my couch and watched this whole thing, awesome job dude
The Cbat in the intro :D
done watching the whole vid, how you keep up with everything is amazing to see every option you explore is the right play. You Sir in my book are the best Ck3 youtuber i have seen. Glad your back in the saddle after the robbery keep up. will watch anything you decide to make.
GG
I have been pondering a Norse-Turkic hybrid culture for Horse Lord Vikings and you’ve made this come true (plus Monaspa and Camel Riders!) in only about a hundred years. I’m eager to see where the rest of this video goes.
Also shame on you for not uploading for a month. Needed my Zieley fix. Nobody on UA-cam does it like you.
Thanks
Damn, an hour and 44 minutes? I'm gonna get comfy.
Lol best ck3 player honestly. Might not have been fun to make but was deff an enjoyable watch
subbed. Loved watching you play and the memes had me in tears
I've just discovered CK3/your channel, and as a 20 year runescape vet, all of these suble references are throwing me off as i afk.
Damn I tried a world conquest once but gave up halfway through because of the lag, I can only imagine your struggle haha
And Zieley wept, seeing as he had no more worlds to conquer.
Because money did not matter anymore, only your vassals
Realy enjoyed man, big fan of your work!!
for wide games you should really consider the recognition of talent cultural tradition, the ability to grant pardons for crimes in exchange for strong hooks can make keeping massive empires together so much easier. if you're clever at exposing secrets as a just/honest character you can have an infinite supply of stress relief whilst pardoning all your major vassals to keep an extremely stable realm.
I've been waiting for this!
Nice vid, just thanks for doing all of that for content for your channel and at the end you sounded like you were in pain.
love the editing, made watching such a long video pretty entertaining
i don't think I've ever laughed so hard watching Paradox content as I did when I read New Zeland.
You can kill the ruler you have a truce with and their heir won't inherit it.
This was epic. Thanks for putting so much effort into this. Hope you can get some rest now without the algorithm punishing you.
Man, congrats! Great way to deal with everything. Tale a good nap now, knowing you did good to the internet!
Can't get enough of your content. I dig your humor, voice, and editing homie
