I love this video. I've watched it so many times now and using it as a reference for my videos. I would love to see more of these. And if you are able to use fitness vlogs as the video topic that would be a bonus. I've been trying to incorporate more story structure into my videos and I always feel like I am missing something in act 2 when adding stakes to the video because I don't see anything that went "wrong" (using it loosely) in the video to really add to the rising action.
This is amazing and so well laid out. Would love to see your take on similar structures for the other types of videos you mentioned - commercials, documentaries, etc - would love to see one for the mundane like real estate videos or generic client work (like an event). Subbed!
Thank you for the kind words! It was shot on a virtual production stage with a 70' LED wall. Here's a behind-the-scenes video showing the process: ua-cam.com/video/SoTG6ar8FL4/v-deo.html
So, maybe I’m missing something, but why does your graph go down after plot point 2? Shouldn’t the rising action continue to carry the story upwards until the climax? Then you have falling action and resolution? Also, great video! I’m a video editor, too (though I’m pretty new to full-time editing), and I want to try this for the next video I’m working on.
Thanks for watching! I like dividing the chart at ACT III, but you make a good point. That would be a nice way to show it as well. Congrats on your new editing career!
I´m sorry, but I have to ask... Which microphone do you use? It sounds so rich and full... I love to listen to your videos... content wise are also great... but...

When you're editing, do you use the script as a reference as you edit or no?
Great question! Yes, I am always referencing the script and/or storyboards.
@@austenmenges Thank you 🙂
