I tried this Shamdey recipe and the egg plant recipe. They both came out great. Although, I didnot cook the beef chunks for 50 minutes after water was boiling, but only for 30 minutes and later added potatoes and cooked it along with beef for another 16-17 minutes. I did a little bit of modification on recipes without measurements. They tasted so good. Please keep making your cooking videos. We appreciate it.
thank you very much for sharing that great recipe.it's been almost years that i have been searching a real recipe. i live abraod n obviousely couldn't find the real recipe lhasa shamdrey . back time when i was little kid at lhasa i used to eat shamdray but in here abroad all i get fake shamdray. i miss my origin.

This recipe is not authentic if the meat is not halal. Shamdre, (also sometimes called kachee-shamdre or borkar-shamdre) is a Tibetanized curry that was brought by Tibetan Muslims (Lhasa Kachee). Its based off the Kashmiri meal “wazwan”.

China has many regional dishes
laphing is not tibetan, it's Chinese, we do not eat or grow mung bean in tibet. Tibetan food is simple and hearty, stews, breads.
