@@723ryno Strongly suspect to have seen it and it's brother about 2 years before near where Morgan got it. Over the sights of a shotgun & in velvet mid-morning on the tops after normal helicopters were home in bed, with Dave "coaching" to shoot it out of range, after he'd got us to leave the .308 in the hangar. Words were had, but back then had a soft spot for the decent trophies as seed, so didn't regret not getting them much, & they were sitters for the .308. Have a photo of Morgan with it somewhere before it was stained (it was in hard velvet). Interesting to see the actual measurements, having done it roughly (L&S).
Any chance there is a photo of that head floating round, would be great to see it. Flew with Dave and Morgan a few times, quite different flying styles at times!
i saw that head in Daves hanger Morgan was very young when he shot it, truely a magnificent MacFarlane head
Thats So cool, Nothing like seeing them in real life to appreciate what they are capable of.

Phil wright had a couple big ones from that haast country as well back in the day
"They" shot a bigger from one out of the Forgotten. It was mounted and hanging in Dave's lounge up until recently.
