@@nkt1 I just got played by a beautiful Italian woman IRL so I really resonated with Albie (and a small part of the deep recesses of my mind wanted Lucia to die), but yes Tom Hollander's delivery of his lines was just on point. Every single character was exquisitely written. A perfect show.
At 01:40 when he looks at her and then says he would have done anything for him, and after 30 years he still would, we know what he's thinking if you were to go back watch the scene after watching the whole season. (Not giving out spoilers. Something other comments already did.)
I would do anything for him. After 30 odd years I still would. After 30 years you still did. This is the tell. Greg is the cowboy and he's not Quentin's lover, but his unrequited love he's willing to kill for? Perhaps we'll never know for sure.
@@MichaelQuotes Don't think so...from what Quentin said...I think Quentin is kind of pathetic resorting to murder for a man who never returned his love....of course the money allows Quentin to pursue beauty...in the form of men like Jack and his Italian Villa.
This is an incredible dialogue. You can only get all its deepest meaning when you know the end of the story. And that "fag" for "cigarette" in the end does only add a turn to the screw.
Your mind immediately goes back to this scene.
“I would do anything for him. Thirty years later, I still would.”
"I would also die for beauty" was such a chilling statement after learning later on in the series what Quentin's true intentions were for Tanya
Yes! Chilling! And perfectly delivered.
He wanted her to say yes when he asked "Wouldn't you?", since that is the plan, her death saving the beautiful villa. His look when he says it!
It is a terrific scene. Tom Hollander is mesmerising.
He was my favorite character
@@MichaelQuotes Lucia was my favourite character, because she's so damned beautiful. But Quentin was the most entertaining to watch and listen to.

@@nkt1 couldn’t agree more. Lucia was just mesmerizing, but Tom Hollander stole the show.
Tom Hollander elevates every thing he's in, steals all of the scenes.
Totally agree. I was watching and thinking “what is this”? I am watching art. Incredible.
Brilliant. Tom Hollander is a treasure. Thank you for posting.

The greatest moment. I almost didn’t breathe during it

Or is he with him now?

It explains why he cried on Madama Butterfly opera. It has parallels with him

Agreed amazing scene thanks for posting
The Gays are trying to kill me …. And they did 💔
Spoiler alert!! The cowboy is her husband 🤣
Yup, stoked for tomorrow night’s finale! Chekhov’s gun has appeared - who will fire it?
@@MichaelQuotes Totally wasn’t expecting that outcome .
@@ZapataE Same - I knew Tanya would die but I didn't think all the gays would
