- Well what can we say about this apart from I’m sorry I didn’t get my Bonito on film😭it was the best fight I’ve ever had from any fish. Gutted but it is what it is … luckily Kev had two that I got on film. Kev was using his HTO nebula 7-35g travel rod great rod no doubt about it.
Obviously I missed the initial takes and runs but I can assure you if you’ve yet to catch an Atlantic Bonito on light gear put it on your tick list 👍🏻 hard luck on this day to Dirk losing what sounded like a screamer he did get one a couple of days later👍🏻
Can this trip last us until mid May when we can start chasing the bass again hmmm not sure 🤔 “the tug is the drug”

Thanks Lee.. appreciate you tuning in to the channel 👍🏻 I’m so gutted that I didn’t get my bonito on film it was awesome. Kev played the fish well on his 7-35g travel nebula they are very powerful fish definitely one to put on your tick list ! We stayed in Playa Blanca and got a taxi to the west coast about 10€ I think.
@@chuckitandsea superb! I went to tenerife last year and had all the lures I could squeeze in my case.....got completely out fish by the locals using a cheap bombarda float and a 3inch white redgil eel. I was literally all the gear....no idea! Good fun though. Keep at it pal....Great stuff! 👍

Nice catch I’m looking at a fishing holiday this summer. On a side note where did you guys get the waist packs from they look great for travelling light!?
HPA chest pack ..yeah had them a few years now they have been very good no probs yet and the they spend a lot of time submerged when wading. We have just been back to the same place latest video of barracuda fishing was poor so we’re going back for another go in a few weeks fingers crossed for some fish this time!

Hey, nice catch! Small note: it is not possible to give a tuna species a "rest" without letting them swim fast. They cant move water trough the gills without swimming, unlike other fish.
